Jungle location, the view of sunrise , the idyllic watertemple down at the river nextdoor, fantastic breakfast options (including balinese sweet black rice porridge, so not just the usual choice of pancake/omlette). I will come back, i dont mind the very steep steps. Lovely staff too. Daily room cleaning and fresh towels. Coffee and tea maker in the room, fridge to keep snacks, The bungalow was small but comfy.

Please please please improve the waste management. It smells of old pasar at the entrance and even worse, all the way to the pool. Also, please fix the lose tiles in the pool, they are a hazard. I also recommend to remove anything broken, its better to not have a basket rack at the bathroom at all, than a mouldy crooked one. Bathroom would be absolutely perfect after a good scrub and window clean. I understand maintenance in the jungle can be a challenge (eg wooden floor warping is unavoidable) but cleanliness is an easy fix.

Staying at this Doni house & villas in Ubud was such a peaceful and refreshing experience especially for a solo traveler like me. The ambiance is beautifully close to nature, creating a homey and relaxing atmosphere that made me feel instantly comfortable and safe. The surroundings are tranquil, and the design blends perfectly with the natural setting, all.wooden and natural. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. I truly wish I had more time here—it’s the kind of place you don’t want to leave. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and reconnect with nature.

The incredible peace and quiet! Love this place for it being away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud.. the view from my balcony was incredible and I loved being able to hear the river from below.. GREAT comfy pillows! Being able to order 3 meals per day if you don't want to go out is a bonus, as you have to go out walking far or on a scooter to find anything to eat The pool area has one of the best views possible! Nice to have a massage/spa center to! Everything in one spot!

The whole place is overlooking a deep forested gully, which means A.LOT of steps, and they're very steep and very high steps, almost needing another step in between. Definitely only for the fit and able... The wait on food was often long, so don't be in a hurry or too hungry before you order from the kitchen! Food is average... but it was ample. The motorcycles they hire out are pretty old, especially the Vario's, old to the point of dangerous.. so a good thing to be aware of..

The place was magical. Such a bargain for the environment we were in. The staff are very accommodating. They offered many additional services like in-house spa ,transport,tours and even personalised messages written with flowers!

One of the rooms we picked was overrun by mosquitoes, the other 2 were fine. The staff provided us with incense to help with the mosquitoes. The rooms further away from reception were quite a climb down. I would not recommend the repeated Trek for those with knee problems/are pregnant but it is part of the experience.

Loved my king suite wood cabin, very private and peaceful. Beautiful jungle views and sound of the flowing river. Conveniently close (15 min scooter ride) to Ubud but quiet and 2km away to a ricefield area with a couple of nice restaurants. Simple but convenient food/restaurant, nice pool to chill.

nothing really, just be aware of some steep stairs if you stay in one of the cabins closer down to the river.

We had an amazing stay at this villa! The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. The views were stunning and the atmosphere was peaceful. The staff was very friendly, responsive, and made sure we felt welcome. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet escape or a family holiday. Can’t wait to come back!

The room was perfect, the bathroom huuuge The pool has a magical view on the jungle You can rent a scooter from the hotel, around 6€ a day The hotel is near Ubud center, like 10min scooter, and close to Tegalallang rice terraces also ! The staff was really really nice :)

Bring your sleep mask as the curtains are not very occulting ! and it’s a little bit noisy.

The location is amazing , the view from the pool is amazing. Nicely decorated rooms.

Breakfast was poor , and the paid floating breakfast ( breakfast in the pool) had nothing to do with what was shown in the picture. I would not recommend buying the breakfast. The staff also didn’t speak good English and as a result a lot of times was confused.

The property was perfect had everything we need, just remember your in the jungle atmosphere and it feels like it. The staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly and chatty, very helpful and accommodating , would recommend to anyone staying in ubud as it’s a short ride to the centre of ubud. Breakfast was super yummy.

Property is at its best location, peaceful and relaxing area. We love the place and the breakfast selection.

Since we choose the smoking room and all the way down, the ceiling of the room from above unit is thin. So we can hear guest who arrived late at night and moving stuffs. I hope they can do something about this. Overall we had a nice stay!
