2nd time we've been here and certainly won't be the last. Absolutely amazing location by the river and just out of town away from the hustle and bustle. Pool saff were fabulous. The pool area as a whole was exceptional. We loved the swim up pool bar. The views from our room were amazing. Staff were so lovely. Can't wait to come back here.

Beware the steps if you are not fit or able bodied. But to be fair, you should expect that in Bali almost everywhere. Restaurant and breakfast could have been a bit better.

Beautiful peaceful location, lush gardens, friendly and helpful staff. We loved the rooms which are very 'Bali', semi outdoor bathrooms in some, the kids loved the frogs on the bathroom wall 😁

Some of the bathroom facilities and plumbing in the communal areas needed work. The pool bar was never open so no drinks by the pool. In fact it didn't have a bar at all and seemingly no-one that could make cocktails. Restaurant menu quite basic.

We were welcomed by a gong signalling our arrival and a cool juice. Check in was quick and easy. Beautiful lush tropical surrounds with sounds of water from the river. It’s an oasis from the Ubud business. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There’s a free shuttle into the centre of Ubud (but only one morning option.) The main pool is nice, with another pool available. Our rooms were generous and comfortable, with our mini bar area outside on the balcony. We were a family group and had 3 consecutive rooms with a large shared balcony which was nice and convenient (pot plants usually divide areas for privacy) If you want a break from the restaurant there are a few restaurants/ Warungs in easy walking distance and local shops for essentials. At breakfast staff will cook eggs, omelettes, French toast freshly for you if you ask.

There’s a lot of steps. It was fine for us, a bit of a challenge with prams. But would be a problem if you are mobility impaired. The swimup bar is not in service but staff are happy to bring drinks and food poolside so it didn’t really matter. Some areas of the resort could do with a bit of maintenance but this did not deter from our stay or enjoyment at all. The restaurant menu has a good variety available but it’s the same for poolside, lunch and dinner

The serenity, the pools and the Restaurant although the menu was a little limited and moving it from by the river wasdisappointing. . Staff were outstanding.

There are a lot of steps which can be physically challenging.

We had a great week at the Bali Spirit Hotel. We really liked the neighborhood, it's outside the center of Ubud so it's quieter, and there are a couple of nice streets just across the main road that lead to a charming town center around a soccer field. There's a free minivan running to and from town every couple of hours, which I recommend. Absolutely don't recommend trying to walk to town - Bali sidewalks are more of a concept than something to walk on. The hotel site is great, running down the side of a valley with a river at the bottom, and the gardens are lush and tropical. Just be warned there are a lot of steps and it isn't accessible for wheelchairs. The rooms are on the older side, but they're big and the bed was massive and very comfortable. The restaurant isn't fancy but it's reasonably priced. Highly recommend Mother cafe for morning coffees (easy walk from the hotel), and Sage is an OK vegetarian place right across the road. Merlin restaurant in Ubud is fun and the food is good, but it's more expensive as far as food in Bali goes.

It’s an older resort but is well kept and for the price offers excellent value. Interesting and well maintained gardens and lots of steps and pathways to explore if that’s your thing- all the way down to the river that flows below. Breakfast was decent. Pools were quiet which was lovely. Rooms comfortable, wifi fine, cleaning promptly done daily. Would visit again for sure.

An older property so expect the odd broken tile that might be sharp but otherwise nothing to complain about.

This property is so beautiful. You feel like your in a paradise jungle. The room itself was beautiful too with a nice balcony overlooking the garden. The shower wasn’t the best and had a open section at the top which allowed mosquitoes to get in. Me and my partner kept the bathroom door closed at all times to avoid the mosquitoes from coming into the bedroom which worked. The resort also has a free shuttle service to the city centre of Ubud which is around a 10 minute drive. This was so convenient, we used it everyday and saves you from having to order a gojek. The shuttle drops you Infront of coco mart which is a big supermarket that has everything you need (including shoes and cloths up on the second level) which was handy. Staff at this resort were amazing. We had no bad experiences. The price for what you get is amazing too. I would come back here just for the value of money, for the price you pay this resort is definitely worth it. Both pools are beautiful and clean. Room was clean. The only thing that wasn’t that nice was the bathroom but for the price you pay everything was better than expected !

Garden, sculptures, swimming pools, the views, tranquillity, the flowers fragrance. The room size, the mattress, the view from the room. Light in a room from the garden.

Bathroom: hot water was only available in the shower and availability was very slow. Lighting a bathroom was insufficient. Lack of storage in a bathroom. The breakfast was basic and presentation wasn't great. The staff were not adequately trained in some areas many lacked sufficient English to communicate. Number of errors was made during our booking and departing.

The pool was nice and had good vibes. The bed was firm and comfortable. Breakfast was a buffet some days and a menu with options other days. Courtesy buses run every two hours to take you in and pick you up from central Ubud. Very pleasant staff, especially in the restaurant.

One of the reasons we booked here was it had a pool table, this was packed up in a corner and unusable. Water pressure was terrible, struggled to rinse my hair. Safe did not work in the room. Cleanliness was questionable and there was mold in the shower and bathroom. Needs a refurb in the bathroom. Inconsistency with fresh linen.

The property was lovely, pool was amazing, gardens were beautiful Rooms are a good size well equipped with everything that you needed Buffet style breakfast was tasty Great cappuccinos

There was nothing that we disliked about the property. The location is a little way out of Ubud but we were happy to walk most days into town through the monkey forest If you struggle with stairs, there are a lot of them, to your room to the pool and the restaurant It’s not that fact that there’s a lot of stairs. It’s that they are not a standard height and some are quite difficult to walk up and down.
