I stayed in the older rooms of basically a new 4 star new hotel- all the facilities were fantastic, my room was huge with a lounge area, spring water & large 4 post bed. The gardens and pool areas were gorgeous. Amazing value for a cheaper room.

The only issue was walking to the quiet streets of nyuh kyunig involved a 5 min stretch of a busy road without a dedicated path- but once you crossed into the residential area there were great food options.

The staff were very friendly and professional, so lovely with our child. Recommend the free activities at the hotel, we were taken on a walk to a local rice paddy and taught to make offerings. I also liked the way they were more eco conscious with refillable mineral water tanks

I little more attention to detail in bathrooms would be nice, repairing shower heads, etc

Loved my cabin at the end of a pathway so very private and view of pool. Location was so peaceful too with great access to an abundance of wonderful eating places, one l found overlooking rice fields, stunning. You can walk into centre of Bali (way too busy for me now though) alongside Monkey Forest which was a great experience. I'd definitely stay at Budhi Ayu and this area on my next visit to Bali. Staff were amazing too, helped with my onward journey to Amed, so happy and friendly!

Everything was great. Only thing l had to keep an eye on was kettle that didn't turn off automatically so sometimes overheated

We booked the 2-bed villa with private pool, which was away from the main hotel and very private. For the price, it was perfect. It was secluded and huge and had the private pool and garden. Staff were available on WhatsApp and incredibly attentive when needed - see below. Loved the massive terrace upstairs, as well as sitting area below. Water dispenser was a grateful inclusion, as was the kettle.

The place was a little tired and perhaps suffering still from the effects of standing empty during the pandemic. Kitchen is very basic and not equipped. Stairs to 2nd floor are quite steep - perhaps not suitable for kids. We had to ask for pool towels and would have enjoyed cushions for the sun loungers and outdoor sitting area. Fridge was pretty dirty, although I am sure it would have been cleaned had we asked.

The villa looks amazing and exactly like the photos. Private pool and we'll maintained lawn makes it a perfect getaway. The road leading to the villa is also filled with flower plants which again adds to the aesthetic nature. Very calm area. We had day trips so we had to leave at 6:00 am almost everyday, they kept breakfast boxes for us. Staff is very helpful. The spa was amazing. The location is walking distance to money changers and grocery store. Grab delivery for food and taxi is very convenient. Overall had a great stay. Staff will clean the room and lobby everyday, even mow the lawn alternative day.

Limited utensils. Even after asking for plates we were not given sufficient plates. For 5 people staying in the villa were provided with only 3 big plates, we were told they need plates for their restaurant. We had to take dinner in turns. If you don't wish to cook and eat in then this should not be a problem for you. Lighting could be improved in the lawn and swimming pool. Only one light fitted in the pool and no lights in the lawn.

This accommodation was very peaceful. There were two nice pools, great staff, a delicious breakfast, and a very good menu for lunch, dinner and snack. We really appreciated the water dispenser and the laundry services! The A/C worked well, and the Wi-Fi did too. We would definitely stay there again! :)

It’s not right in the center of Ubud, but you can easily get everywhere by scooter. And if you don’t want to drive, you can always book a Grab or GoJek and get anywhere very quickly. Due to the humidity, there was a slight smell in the bathroom. I probably wouldn’t use the bathtub, but the toilet and shower were fine.

A beautiful sanctuary. Staff were always friendly. The upstairs breakfast/ restaurant is lovely and open. The food was delicious. We had the 3 bedroom family bungalow which had a stunning pool area( there were other communal pools as well). . The living wall/sculpture in the bathroom was an amazing surprise. We really loved this place.

The location is about a 45 minute walk ( or £5 15/30 miin taxi to the centre). A lot of the sight seeing is out of town so this wasn't as much of a problem. There are good restaurants within 10 mins walk of the property or you could just eat there. The walk is a mix of path and verge so this could be a consideration if you have very young children. The 3 bedroom villa has 3 separate rooms with separate keys / front doors, so this might be a consideration again if you have young children.There is though a heavy wooden gate enclosing the entrance to the whole villa. It is though, a LOVELY place/sanctuary!

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Even the little cat that greets guests on arrival was a welcoming touch. The food in the restaurant was exceptional, and the views from the restaurant were peaceful. It was great that the Reception team gave a pamphlet about things to do in Ubud on arrival. I choose the Cooking Class and really enjoyed it. I loved the pool and also the private balcony outside my room for relaxing.

I couldn't get the TV to work. Also the room and bathroom were starting to show some wear. Not too bad just a bit of painting and redoing the grout in the bathroom would refresh the room.

The staff is very courteous. The room was always well kept by the housekeeping staff. Our clothes used to always be neatly folded. The villa is surrounded by greenery and there are two pools. We took breakfast included package and were quite happy with the options. You get a fruit plate or a choice of fresh juice with your breakfast if you decide to take breakfast included. Ubud traffic can be crazy. On a good day, you can reach the city centre in 15-20 mins otherwise took us around 25-30 mins in peak traffic.

The hot water for our villa would only go on for a short while. We didn't mind it as much because the weather is humid.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom villa for a week. It was spacious, comfortable and private. There was a private pool in the villa and a larger pool in the hotel side to use. The latter was particularly nice to swim in. The general neighbourhood is nice with many restaurants within walking distance and many others a short drive away. Behind the villa is a small path that leads to a pleasant walk through the rice fields. The property is on a side road so is was quiet. Unfortunately the main road the hotel is close to does not have sidewalks or streetlights making it somewhat dangerous to access the restaurants on that strip in the evening. It is better to get around by scooter if you are comfortable with it. It is also possible to get a scooter ride from a rideshare app.

The property wasn't maintained or cleaned as well as we would have liked though overall the property was good value for the money. The kitchen did not have enough supplies, e.g. pots and utensils, to actually cook. The power went out at least 3 times in the villa when we were there but it didn't pose any problems for us as it was quickly fixed.
