- Quiet. No road noise. You will hear more birds and geckos than motorcycles or voices. And there is the view that goes with that (our door faced south). A relief, after nearly a week in Ubud in other guesthouses, where time seemed dominated by ridiculous levels of noise and mold smells, as if in a repeating bad dream. Location is a 10-15m walk to the center. Good balance. Closer to center=noisier. - Bed is very comfortable. And an air conditioner as well as a ceiling fan in the room. - Good vibrations. It is run by joyful and helpful people. We found the lady considerate of our (and other’s) wishes, and thereby, for us, embodied the purpose of hospitality. As in: she checked & anticipated what might be desired. A nice touch was that she left a hot water bottle in the room to make tea/coffee. Considerate, and appreciated. - Breakfast is good. It is exactly as you expect from other places, like, banana pancake/some egg variation with a tea/coffee. But then a bit better than you had before. Well, the orange “juice” maybe not, but OK, not a big deal. Oranges might not actually exist on Bali. - Oh and wifi signal is good. Because there is a wifi-signal repeater next to the door. You see? Owners that understand hospitality. Small investment, years of benefit.

The bungalow showed some signs of aging but nothing that causes discomfort.

This is such an amazing place to stay! The location is fantastic - only a few hundred metres from the heart of Ubud, yet it's very quiet and peaceful. If you can, book the family room as you are elevated and have a wonderful view over Ubud and towards the Monkey Forest. The room and facilities are very keen, and the family who host you are very friendly and helpful.

For me it's not a negative as I love animals, but you do occasionally get some of the Macaques (monkeys) paying a friendly visit.

The room had everything I needed for my first trip to Bali! Breakfast every morning, a fridge in the common area for cold items, a kitchen with cooking materials, the cutest cats roaming around, a great location in Ubud with a walk or short ride to just about anything. It is tucked away so you have to walk from the road, but this honestly helped a ton with city noise. It was very quiet and peaceful. The view was amazing (stayed in 1 with the garden view), love the lush greenery all over the property. Breakfast was delicious! I decided to eat mostly in the common area since the monkey forest is close and they love to steal your food. They use instant coffee, which I love, but there are plenty of cafes close by in case you don't! Everyone was very nice and even helped me figure out a shop to find a specific type of baseball jacket for a wishing tree Christmas present. Daily cleaning and resetting of the coffee cup for the in-room coffee. Pro tip: close the bathroom door to help the a/c circulate only in the room, keeps out a lot of the humidity!

The Wi-Fi was not the best (although that helped enjoy the view more than being online) and went out right before I left, but they called the company to get it reconfigured.

Loved staying at Blu Mango, if you are looking for a simple, well taken care of room to sleep, its perfect, it is simple, no pool or nice outside area to hang out at but the room was impeccable, the shower was excellent, the owners are kind hearted people who were always available for a chat or a laugh. Location is perfect if you want to stay central to Ubud, enjoy Yoga classes and walk more than drive, I didn't need a motorbike as everywhere worth visiting was walking distance!

Nothing bad but days I didn't want to leave the hotel I also didn't have a nice green area to sit outside my room to chill out, the hotel is more like an apartment vibe so no garden or outdoor area to chill in.

I've been travelling SEA for five months now and I think Blu Mango was the most comfortable places I've stayed in all that time. I absolutely loved my room, so specious, clean and modern, with lots of storage space. A good bed is hard to find but it was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in! Most places don't really care about the quality of bedding etc but this felt like luxury. Slept so well for the time I was there. The host is the nicest woman ever and felt soooo comfortable there! Couldn't recommend it enough!! Also in a really good area, central but off the main road so quiet too. Crazy value for money!!

The location was fantastic being close to many shops, cafes and bars. It was a beautiful rustic and authentic setting with an open air living area. Wake up to incredible sunrise views over the lush green bush. Very spacious room and comfy beds. Friendly host and quiet location.

Be prepared to walk 5 mins with your luggage as the street is very narrow like many are. We couldn't get the hot water to work so only had cold showers. The fridge and aircon in the bedroom were noisy making it hard to sleep.

I stayed 5 nights here, and it’s a great stay. I love the big opening balcony in front of my door, facing the trees and right above a little river. I enjoy lying down on the sofa at the front of my door, sometimes reading, sometimes eating my breakfast, sometimes just doing nothing. I enjoy the sound of nature every single day. The guesthouse is located at the end of a quiet secret ally, you have the quietness and also all the convenience in hand as it’s only 5 min walk from the busy main street, and there are tiny but very delicious restaurant, spa and massage, convenience store nearby. For breakfast, they have two pieces of bread with butter and strawberry jam, egg, fruits and drinks. I enjoy my breakfast time everyday.The lady makes you breakfast and cleans your room every day. She’s very nice. The guesthouse is operating by the family, sometimes the kids play around in the garden with their cat and dog. Everybody of the family is so nice.

I had the jungle view and it was amazing. room does the job but is VERY small. Whenever I had to unpack something from my suitcase I had to lay it on the bed or outside on the terrace. when that is said, the hosts are very sweet and helpful. I had a problem with ants coming from the aircon, and they immediately fixed it. they clean the room every day and make your bed and give you hot water to make a coffee in your room too. you have lots of breakfast options from eggs on toast, pancakes, etc. the building is full of plants making it seem like you are in a secret jungle. very nice experience.

The room was VERY small and the bed was very hard so had quite a sore back after sleeping there, but it didn't ruin my experience. I am glad I was there by myself as it would have been tight with another person in the room. but if you are just there for sleeping it's not a problem and you can easily find a solution, i am sure. the shower also took forever before it turned warm.

Each morning, the owner delivered the simple yet delicious breakfast to our terrace, allowing us to enjoy it while gazing at the jungle. A few times, we were treated to sightings of playful monkeys, who occasionally wandered off from the nearby Monkey Forest. The guesthouse's location is perfect, nestled on a quiet street yet just a stone's throw away from the bustling shopping streets. With the entire center of Ubud within walking distance, Blu Mango offers an ideal base for exploring this enchanting area.
