I loved my stay at Umah Anila and would definitely recommend booking it if you're looking for good value for money. It just has a really nice energy about it and Putu & her family are the loveliest people who will make you feel very welcome. I'm really glad I stayed here and it was really good value too. Amazing they include breakfast too! I loved that there's a fan which a lot of places strangely don't seem to have..

It is a little tricky to get to down a narrow alleyway that is a bit too narrow for cars. That was the only real downside I felt.

I had an amazing stay at Umah Anila, and it went beyond all my expectations! I’ve stayed in many places before, but this one is by far the best. The hosts are such a kind, friendly family who made me feel at home right away. They are always there to help, support and give any recommendations or guidance around Bali. I’m so thankful for their warmth and care. The location is great—central, but quiet, and is super accessible by car or scooter. There are lots of shops, restaurants, and a big supermarket just a 1-2-minute walk away. I loved how everything was within walking distance, which made my time in Ubud even more enjoyable. The breakfast is delicious, simple, and full of vitamins. The rooms are fresh and clean, the bed is really comfortable, and the WiFi works perfectly. There is a very nice view during sunset and sunrise, literally from the room 😊 I highly recommend Umah Anila! It will always be my top choice whenever I visit Ubud again. Thank you so much for making my stay so special!

I liked everything 🥹

Everything!! It was an amazing stay, and we loved the location, we walked everywhere, there was no way to get lost the people are all nice and the family where we stayed was very friendly and helpful, they give you your space but if you need anything they are just a WhatsApp msg away. They have a small little tuck shop on the bottom to buy something to drink or eat. The beds are the most comfortable beds that we slept in in our entire 10days trip! I did not book with the breakfast, so cannot say anything about the breakfast but every morning when we wake up there was a flask outside our door with hot water for tea and coffee, there was no milk but when asked they will bring it to you, this was very sweet! It was not the most beautiful place, but we felt like family, and it was more than enough for us, as we were out most of the day for shopping and exploring! We did not need anything more than a very well looked after, comfortable, clean and safe space to sleep! They change the bedding every day and we felt so bad for all that washing, a suggestion will be to change the bedding every 2 or 3 days to safe some work for themselves, but it was good and so comfortable to come home to a clean room! The location is great and walking distance from basically everything! We will definitely be back to stay here again!!

We might want 2 towels in the room instead of one. And maybe a bottle of drinking water "free" in the room, a small fridge to put some stuff in and as a lady a full-length mirror :-) Other than that everything was perfect!!

I loved my stay so much that I decided to come back for my last week in Ubud. I've done a lot a homestay around Ubud and Umah Anila will always be my go. They cook amazing breakfast, are welcoming and helpful for anything you need or request. They have a big heart and you can see how they do everything with the heart. Really authentic homestay, quiet and close to everything. The beds are the most comfortable and the view is a dream. Just book it ;)

Everything is perfect, there's nothing I didn't like.

As every review seems to mention, the location is indeed great, situated very close to the centre of Ubud, but set back far enough so that the noise of traffic is only a faint sound in the background, never annoying. The view from the majority of the rooms is also great. The picture of the guesthouse from the outside that shows the surrounding buildings can give a good overview of what it's going to be like when you are here. The hosts are very attentive and hospitable. The guesthouse is run by one family. They are very kind and caring people. Rooms are simple, yet clean and comfy. AC works alright. Finally, the value for money is truly remarkable. It might be slightly above average price for an Ubud guesthouse, but it is totally worth it, the quality to price ratio is amazing. The room does not have a kettle, but the hosts can bring a thermos of hot water every morning.

Only thing that might be missing is a mini fridge in the room.

At Umah Anila I found a heaven after two months of travelling! Having coffey and breakfast in the morning on the beautiful balcony with (no doubts) the best views in Ubud. Going to Yogabarn just around the corner every day. Staying in a spacious and clean room with good aircon. Sleeping in an extremely comfortable bed with soft sheets. The family here are kind and honest people, who provide an impeccable service to their guests. They picked me up very late the airport. They make me feel so welcomed and cared for. No pressure. Shop on the property. Good warung and a spa next door. These guys seem to be doing everything right and of course I extended my stay! In my experience as a long time solo female traveller this is the best place to stay in central Ubud. With the best views. It is simply luxury on a budget.

Excellent value, an unlike many value places to stay in Ubud, there was no musty smell. It was simple, clean, and very hospitable. I would gladly stay again. The hosts are a family who could not be more gracious and kind. There is a lovely koi pond that lends a peaceful touch, as well. My curtain rod fell at one point and it was fixed immediately.

It is a foam mattress, not spring, which is fine for me. Also, my room was on the third floor and there's no elevator, which might be an issue for some.

Excellent location to YogaBarn yet very quiete. Lovely family running it so accommodating and friendly. I recommend to request room 5 is the best corner room on the upper floor with lots of light and rooms 6 and 7 are also great with fantastic views.

It’s not really something negative but would be amazing if there was tiny fridge in the room as everything gets spoiled so quickly in hot weather including fruits.

The room was always clean and the location was perfect because is located very close to restaurants, bars, main streets and also close to the monkey forest. Although is was located in the center of Ubud, this hotel is extremely quiet. We didn’t hear any noise from the street, which was great as it allowed us to have a quiet and pleasant sleep. Putu and her family were always trying to make us feel comfortable, they helped us to rent a motorbike, book ferries and they even took us to the harbour in their own car. Very polite and kind family. Putu made the breakfast for us every day and it was delicious!! Thank you very much for that. They have 6 different options of breakfast that you can choose and also, as soon as you wake up, you already have coffee, tea and hot water to start enjoying the morning in the cute private terrace where you are then going to be served with delicious food and fruits.

Everything about this place was perfect for our stay, we loved it here. Putu and her family went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and looked after. The flowers placed around the rooms were a lovely touch. Great central location yet very peaceful. The rooms are a good size, very clean and housekeeping everyday. We were served quality coffee and a beautiful breakfast kindly tailored to our dietary needs each morning, delivered on the terrace outside our room at a time of our choosing. They also have a shop where you can purchase water and snacks etc which was super convenient. It was an absolute pleasure staying here, hope to return in the future and highly recommend.
