The location was great - close to everything, but in very quiet streetwalk. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel has very typical garden and nic swimming pool what brings you very typical for Ubut atmosphere. The breakfast is served in the pleasant hotel bar, you can choose from several typically indonesian dishes - fresh and testy.

Our room smelled of damp and mould, the smell was probably from the air conditioning and we stopped using it. It would be good if the staff took care to empty the rubbish bins in the rooms daily. The bins were not emptied during our entire stay.

This place is incredible for the price. It is a total oasis in the heart of ubud. Very beautiful gardens and amazing pool. The grounds are light and green and stunning. All the rooms are surprisingly beautiful with a gorgeous outlook. Big and spacious with huge windows (basically one wall is mostly window) looking into the garden so they feel really light and airy. High ceilings also create this feeling. Big bed, writing desk, tea and coffee making facilities and really good air con. I was so happy when I arrived. For the price I paid I didn’t expect anything half this lovely. I’ve paid 3 x this amount in ubud for places not as nice. This is definitely my new go to place when in town. Also amazing location. Right in the center of everything. Walking distance to the yoga barn and many great cafes but super quiet and peaceful as tucked away down a small road. The hot water took a while to come on in the shower but don’t give up!!! It does come eventually and when it does it is a good pressure and good temperature.

My only complaint was that the restaurant only was open only for breakfast even though it said it would be open other times. I came home early especially to hang and eat there and it wasn’t open so had to hear back out again. Wouldn’t have minded if I had been warned in advance and had made sure to eat before coming home. It really is such a beautiful space that you don’t want to leave so if they had done food for lunch and dinner it would have been perfect. Especially when you are tired!

Kadek (the owner) is the loveliest man. He’s created a really generous, happy environment. All the staff are authentic, smiley, kind, and happy to go above and beyond to help. The place is beautiful, it’s in the perfect location if you want a peaceful stay. It’s clean, really gorgeous stylistically, and the pool is perfect!

You need to rent a scooter to get around (it’s pretty out of the way to walk) but the staff also pick/drop you and are more than happy to help.

Incredible value for money. Even better than the photos. Huge room, spotlessly clean, huge bed, nice breakfast, quiet location but just down the street from main areas. Wifi was good and shower strong and hot. Short walk to monkey temple, great restaurants and cafes. Can't recommend highly enough. Stayed as a lone woman and felt 100% safe at all times. Cant wait to come back.

Basic large room with a/c and fan with lovely porch looking over the garden. Very quiet lane off the main street only a few minutes walk to cafes and shops. internet was good, stopped once but the staff fixed it as soon as possible. AC worked fine. Best feature was the gorgeous, clean pool in the traditional garden.

Musty smell from the bathroom, fan was a little noisy, bed was made with sheet over the comforter- not under- so I had to remake it.

For our family of 3 the location was great - quite central, walking distance to main streets, warungs and restaurants nearby. What was great was the fact that though it was quite central it was so quiet in the night. I slept like a baby. The pool is wonderful, just wonderful. The garden looked great and I saw how everyday the employees were taking care of it. We liked the breakfasts - they really had a couple of options - I think 6. Food was good, fresh. We really appreciate it that one day they prepared an early breakfast for us - and it was not a packed box - they literally came earlier and served full breakfast! People working there were really friendly and helpful - they helped us with calling the airport when our luggage was lost and we were waiting for it to arrive. We liked the stay and I think it was really worth it for the money we paid.

There were two things - cockroaches (we found a couple of them in the bathrooms - in two rooms - during our stay). The employees reacted and got rid of them - they sprayed the bugs, but still - we don't mind spiders and other little creatures while we are in Asia but cockroaches were a bit too much. The second thing was wi-fi which was vanishing from time to time. I guess it depended on the room you were in. Nevertheless - we still think this was a perfect stay for our 4 nights. During our further trip we also had issues with wi-fi in other places and we also saw cockroaches :)

Perfect location in the center of Ubud. Despite being in the middle, there was no noise at night. The staff was very pleasant, we had to leave early 2 days and they prepared us a picnic box. They also arranged a taxi from the airport and motorbike rental. The smimming pool area was very relaxing area and the temperature of the water was very pleasant. As an overall we ended very happy with the experience. Thank you everyone.

The bathroom of the room was not clean at all. We had to clean it better when we arrived.

This is our second time using Bucu guest hotel. The staff are very nice and helpful. From 8-10 the staff make a fresh breakfast which is excellent. The location of the hotel is right in the center so even when it's raining there are plenty of attractions to enjoy. I highly recommend it!
