I did not like the self check in or web check in upon arrival. It's off putting that you have to check in yourself in while the staff sit there and watch - something they could easily do. It's annoying and unwelcoming as the first thing you experience upon arrival.

absolutely charming and so beautiful. Loved eveyrhting about this hotel, location, breakfast, villas, and the whole architecture. Staff very friendly, and the rooms were very nicely laid out. The roof deck was also great. Pools were also very good, and most importantly the friendliness of the staff. Complimentary Yoga was a great gesture, and totally worth trying. What a wonderful experience in a Balinese Village-like hotel.

They can improve so much, the shampoos, the soaps, were very light and do not work well, no conditioner provided, very few towels left for guests, and the bathrooms definitely need extraction since the toilet is open to the whole bathroom. Staff did not allow any kind of late check out which was so confusing since we checked it at 2am and needed more time and we begged for an extra hour and they did not allow us, even though we were spending a lot of money. This was not nice.

Kamandalu is the best villa we have ever stayed in Ubud. The villa is gorgeous and beautiful,and the staff there are so welcoming and friendly. I would especially give my big thanks to lady Sukma who works at the front desk. She helped me a lot in printing my document for work and she also tried very hard to take photos of the document! I really appreciate her assistance so much🙏 The restaurant is wonderful as well. The food there is so delicious that I can go there everyday😀 Ketu the chef is great and so are other staff working there! You could see their lovely smiles while working almost all the time! The spa of Kamandalu is also good and we enjoyed the massage treatments very much. The therapists are both so experienced and skillful. We really enjoyed the time we spent in Kamandalu and it is indeed a five-star villa estate that you will not regret to visit and stay.

From the moment we landed to every minute we were at this property (4 nights) we were impressed with staff politeness, cleanliness, exclusiveness, breakfast and finally the 2 bedroom pool villa was amazing. The staff went over and beyond to pack breakfast for our early morning travel even without us asking.

Even though ubud downtown is short distance but traffic in town is so bad, it can make good 30-45min ride.

Everything! The villa is spectacular with world class amenities and a super comfortable and huge bed! A beautifully made baby cot was provided for our baby which she slept the best she has ever slept yet! The rooms have amazing curtains so it’s nice and dark even in day time for an excellent sleep. Amazing air conditioning! The resort is beautifully maintain with spectacular gardens everywhere and a jungle backdrop. If you’re looking for luxury and relaxation this is the perfect resort!

The price of the spa are very expansive for Bali. Otherwise everything else was excellent!

A classic "village style" hotel in Ubud. Really friendly staff that are keen and willing to help - incredible infinity pool overlooking the jungle and a really nice spa facility in the jungle. The food was great and the included breakfast had everything we needed. The rooms were excellent and were their own little private oasis.

Some parts of the hotel are a little bit dated and needed some love to touch up but also added to the charm.

I loved so much kamandalu.i had a beautiful garden villa, beautifully decorated,I was so impressed,the hotel has a beautiful greenery everywhere U go, beautiful pools,we enjoyed the breakfast too,and the Staff are the best, very nice and so welcoming,and I enjoyed so much the message ,the one in the forest, very incredible experience,also the indoor massage, and the housekeeping team are doing a very good job, very clean hotel,I highly recommend kamandalu ❤️

The resort is beyond beautiful and so well kept. The choice of two pools is great and the staff are really wonderful and do their best to provide a great service. The location is great, not too far from the center of Ubud and the transfer provided by the hotel is really useful. One highlight is the spa, I tried to Kamandalu package and it was wonderful. The yoga instructor was really great, I don't normally enjoy yoga but thanks to him it was so enjoyable.

If you are a light sleeper, I don't recommend the chalet - you can hear a lot of noise above if you are on the ground floor. It's 100% worth it to upgrade and avoid this (even better to have a private pool villa).

To use the swings or just take a photo with them (which are located on the territory of the hotel) you need to book a SPA😳In my opinion and huge experience in traveling it should be free (like using a pool or gym in any hotel as a facility of the hotel).

Kamandalu is located just in the forest with a perfect valley-forest view pool rooms and the hotel is divided into so much small parts that they didn't break the 'inside forest' vibe. It is just in the center and believe me if you see 5km on the map and think that what a deal it's just 10 mins, it is not in Bali. It is probably 1 hour with those tiny roads and traffic. So Kamandalu is perfect location. Maybe you are looking for a newer hotel but Kamandalu is old yes but very good. Cause the newest ones don't have such a good location. We enjoyed the room services cause it was a pool villa so we didn't use the restaurants or common pool area that much but being visited by monkeys in the morning by the pool was exceptional. I loved the view of the room and location the best. Spa services was very great also.

Breakfast was open buffet so as you can imagine not so much options comparing to other hotels we stayed in Bali I didn't like the breakfast at all.
