I had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Purist Villas in Ubud. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel truly welcome — warm, attentive, and always ready to help with anything I needed. They even gave me a complimentary upgrade, which was such a lovely surprise! The villa itself was stunning — peaceful, beautifully designed, and felt like a true escape into nature. Everything was spotless and so well maintained. I also loved the breakfast every morning — fresh, delicious, and full of local flavor. One of the highlights of my stay was trying out both the yoga and the massage at the spa. Both were excellent and incredibly relaxing. The service overall was fast, smooth, and very professional. Can’t wait to come back again!

We stayed at the 3 bedroom villa with private pool. Excellent open space design with a lot of tasteful balinese details. I really loved the architecture and design of the place! Large bathrooms with large wardrobe and very large private pool. On site restaurant serves very tasteful food and all meals including breakfast can be served in the room. Breakfast a la carte with sufficient options and quantity. Very friendly staff. We also enjoyed lunch and dinner very much! Two very nice shared pools in the resort. The Spa is small, but private and very nice; very good massage. Gym basic and bit too hot. We enjoyed our stay very much despite some minus points and would recommend this resort.

- bit secluded from Ubud, due to trafgic much longer drive than expected, also not really walkable; - hotel offers shuttle service only 3 times a day and not in the evening, but arranged additional at extra charge; - out of a 4 night stay, private pool was not usable for 2 1/2 days, probably should not have been used the first days as well…; - lot of stairs to climb and longer walk from lobby to room, so maybe not recommendable for guests that might have trouble with such; - matress not too comfortable.

The Purist is a real gem. Superbly designed with a backdrop of a jungle and 2 stunning common use swimming pools. Tactfully designed villas inclusive of antiques and artifacts make your stay a truly luxury one. All staff are wonderful! Big shout out to Choki for being super welcoming and so friendly. Depi the little sunshine and embodiment of Balinese warm welcome. Puriani making sure you feel at home at breakfast Agus and Adi answering all questions and Eni solving any even the slightest of problems you might have. It was a real pleasure staying at such wonderful place. It’s an oasis of calm close to Ubud centre with great food and amazing staff 😊

We absolutely loved our stay in The Purist Villas! The staff were extremely kind and attentive, making us feel right at home. The place is generous, comfortable, and beautifully designed, creating a perfect atmosphere for relaxation. Breakfast and tea time were definite highlights, with delicious food that exceeded our expectations. We truly enjoyed every meal! On our last day, when our driver was two hours late for our late checkout, the hotel graciously offered us complimentary tea and cakes, which was a lovely gesture. We would definitely come here again—and again! Highly recommended for anyone visiting Ubud!

The Purist is located 5-10 minutes by taxi (it can take longer if there is traffic due to any ceremony) from Ubud center surrounded by local life. Inside the territory of the hotel is very quite. We lived in a Hill Villa, it has nice pool area and great view from the terrace. There 2 rooms, one of the with king bed on the first floor with steep steps up. Up there a toilet and a small garderobe. The territory is well maintained, the service are great and attentive. The food for breakfast and dinner are of good quality. The purist offers vegetarian and pescatarian menu.

There were some minor problems in the villa with tap of water on the first floor and no possible to switch on the ceiling shower. But not everything is perfect on Bali, it is a game rule.

The villa we were in was stunningly decorated, we loved it! You can tell that they put a lot of effort in choosing every little detail. We even had a tank of live beautiful fish in our bathroom! The staff was lovely and very helpful, they made our villa twice a day to clean it and prepare it for the night. The breakfast was abundant and delicious with plenty à la carte options, most of them (if not all) vegetarian. We had dinner as well and it was delicious and well presented. Overall, we had a magnificent stay at this place and would definitely recommend it.

The gym could use a little update (the only usable item was an old treadmill), although we appreciated that it existed anyway. The villas are amazing but a bit too dark. There could be at least one spot with stronger lighting.

Our stay at Villa Purist was nothing short of magical. This serene retreat is a true hidden gem — close enough to the heart of Ubud for easy access, yet perfectly tucked away from the hustle and bustle, offering the peace and quiet I was craving. The villa itself is beautifully designed, blending comfort and nature effortlessly. Mornings were a dream — waking up to tropical forest sounds and enjoying a delicious breakfast with a variety of excellent options to choose from, all freshly made and beautifully presented. The staff were outstanding — genuinely warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Their hospitality made the stay feel extra special. The level of care and attentiveness from the staff is a beautiful reflection of the overall kindness and warmth of the Indonesian people. If you’re looking for a tranquil escape that still keeps you close to everything Ubud has to offer, I couldn’t recommend Villa Purist more. I’ll absolutely be back.

My room was a garden suite and was large and comfortable. There was a small outside seating area. The one pool was by the restaurant but I preferred the other one which was very quiet and there were plenty of sunloungers. Towels for the pool were readily available. Breakfast was fabulous and I had a lesson on making the delicious omelette from Eddie, Staff could not do enough to help and were always smiling. My room was serviced regularly and to a high quality. Ubud is very busy and it was good to get back to some tranquility. The hotel runs 4 shuttles a day and they are like clockwork. i also booked 2 taxis through the hotel and as I was travelling alone was very pleased that they turned up on time!

Honestly this is the best place I have ever stayed. So peaceful with the jungle backdrop. The set up it great - very relaxing with lots of privacy in your villa but with all the services of a top hotel; yoga, spa, pools, great restaurant, concierge to organise anything. The staff were amazing - could not do enough for you. Good value for the space and service you get. Most of the villas have their own pools so the main pools are super chilled. Really loved the design - everything was beautiful but above all comfortable. When we ate out we were actually disappointed we hadn’t just eaten at the hotel. The breakfast was great and included in the room rate - served 7am - 11am and al a carte. We also did the cookery class which was super.

This was such a perfect place to decompress on our last few days of our trip. The rooms are fantastic- beautiful, clean and with a fantastic bathroom. The pool is lovely and clean. The hotel itself is gorgeous/ feels like you are in the jungle when you are just a few minutes from the center of Ubud. Loved that they had a scheduled shuttle into town but you could also get a private car too . Breakfast and afternoon tea was wonderful- full service for breakfast
