There were some very positive aspects of D'Legon, and there were a couple areas that weren't made clear. 1) The staff and people at the Villa were incredibly friendly and nice. Accommodating, always smiling. 2) Our villa was spacious, had character and fit our needs well. The villa pool overlooked the jungle and was nice. 3) Good value for the property and what you get within Ubud. 4) Breakfast was good, well prepared, and they delivered to the room on time. You had a choice of American vs. Indonesian breakfast options.

The following were only minor inconveniences, but needed to be made clear to potential visitors. 1) We originally liked that the location was set further away from the main Monkey Forest road areas, but it was less convenient than expected as the road it is on is super narrow 1 lane so very hard to walk it. The street had limited choices of things to eat or do as only a few warungs, etc. (This could be viewed as a positive to for some to get away from the crowds!). 2) 2nd sentence on the Booking website says there are free villa shuttles available. This is NOT the case anymore, so you need to order a Grab service, as getting around is not very walkable. Websites should be updated.

Beautiful villa. Lovely views of rice paddies from the upstairs bedroom and deck. The pool was fabulous. Great set up with outdoor dining and plenty of loungers. Lovely staff. So nice having breakfast served outside eveyday. 1.4km walk to the palace/centre of Ubud.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom rice field view villa. Second bedroom accessed off the front deck not an internal door. Would not suggest for families with younger kids (our kids ended up sleeping in the lounge which worked fine if not quite what we had planned). Absolutely fine for 2 couples or those with older kids. Stairs to the main bedroom steep and slippery so not recommended for anyone with a mobility issue.

I thought this was great value for money as I got to have a villa to myself rather than just a hotel room. The bed was comfortable, and the sofa in the living room and the decor exceeded expectation. The kitchen could do with an update (the kettle and the micro wave were both on their last legs) but provided everything that I needed. I found the hotel food to exceed expectations as well. The Babur ayam breakfast was soo good! The staff was kind and accommodating and always provided what I asked for, paying attention to detail and even anticipating my needs in small ways! I really appreciated that. All in all a wonderful stay!

I wish the tv actually had channels on it and the ability to sign in to Netflix! The only thing you could watch was YouTube which was very odd.

This villa is an absolute dream – you wake up in the morning and feel like you’re right in the middle of the jungle. For nature lovers it’s a true paradise with breathtaking flora and visits from colorful creatures like butterflies, dragonflies, birds and lizards. It’s almost like having your own private safari right outside your door – and all of that by your own private pool! Simply an incredible experience that left us speechless again and again! Furthermore, the staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful—every wish was anticipated and fulfilled. Even when we were completely overwhelmed by all the amazing excursion options around Ubud and tried to plan a tour, the owner and the staff helped us organize a tour perfectly tailored to us, one we will surely never forget. Thank you for that! Wonderful accommodation, great helpful staff, delicious food… it was an absolute pleasure for us, and we will certainly (very) soon repeat the experience!

Villa was spaceious for a family of four. It has two large king beds so our two kids under 10 slept together no issues. Upstairs had master bedroom over looking the lovely private pool. Pool was not too deep and the kids loved it. The backyard pool area was vey private. The team at D'Legon Villas were responsive to any request. Had a problem.with the pool lights and two staff were dispatched immediatly to sort it out. Breakfast was always on time. Villa was spotless and beds made each day

There wasnt much to not like. Only thing that wasnt known was the Villa wasnt at the office but down the road a bit..

Our stay at the private jungle villa was absolutely amazing. The staff were so attentive, especially Bayu and Budi who were available to answer any questions and checking we were good! The villa itself was clean, so comfortable and beautifully laid out. We enjoyed our own pool and the multiple decks available. Breakfast was so tasty and good value for quite a bit of food and a great selection to choose from. The location is about 15 mins from downtown but it’s in a great area with lots of local restaurants only a few minutes away with more authentic food and cheaper prices. Don’t hestitate to stay here, it was exceptional! If we come back to Bali, we’ll be here again.

The only small downside was that the dinner meal was a bit bland. It might be made less spicy for our European palates but it could so with being a bit more flavourful! Still rating the whole thing exceptional though and it was fun to explore other eateries.

Lovely decorated villa with views over the rice field. The staff were very helpful and responsive. Breakfast was lovely.

We didn't realise that the villa we had ( 2 bed with rice girls view) was separate to the main complex, so it was a villa a good few minutes from the main complex. However the hosts were very responsive when we needed anything, this particular vill is just off the main road and do was quite noises with traffic going past.

The pool was lovely, the location was private with a lovely outlook over the rice paddies from upstairs, breakfast was delicious and the hosts were helpful in suggesting someone who could organise activities for us. It was also close to some restaurants and shops so easy to get dinner without having to drive somewhere. Would happily stay there again.

This is probably more about Ubud than the property, but just to note that it is on a narrow busyish road, so not easy to walk too far down it safely. It turned out not to be a problem as we enjoyed the restaurant across the rice paddy. Something else to consider is that the two bedrooms have separate access, which we hadn't realised before. This might be a pro if you are staying with older kids or everyone is an adult, as it did mean there was plenty of privacy, but we stayed there with younger kids and we weren't at a distance where we could hear them if there was an issue.

The Villas were really lovely. Lots of space and you could tell they paid close attention to keeping things clean and bug free. Insect repellant plug-ins are provided and are replaced as needed which helped to create a nice home space. The staff were always more than willing to help and gave us lots of advice during our stay and organised our laundry for us on multiple occasions. Bottled water was also provided every day, with extra provided for brushing your teeth. Breakfast was provided to the room each morning. There were lots of options (and we tried them all in our stay). They were all delicious, filling and nutritious - a great way to start the day. The area was quiet so we got a lot of rest. It was a really relaxing place to be. We would definitely stay again if we found ourselves back in Ubud.

The location was great, in walkable distance to the city center, but far enough from all the buzz. Villa is very spacious, surrounded by nature and feels very private (there is also a private pool). There are many breakfast options and they can be adjusted if asked. Staff was very friendly and helpful :)

Cleaning might have been a bit better (such as towels or robes) and in general some facilities could be renewed (toilet or wall paint). But we didn’t have any major issues with that
