There were some very positive aspects of D'Legon, and there were a couple areas that weren't made clear. 1) The staff and people at the Villa were incredibly friendly and nice. Accommodating, always smiling. 2) Our villa was spacious, had character and fit our needs well. The villa pool overlooked the jungle and was nice. 3) Good value for the property and what you get within Ubud. 4) Breakfast was good, well prepared, and they delivered to the room on time. You had a choice of American vs. Indonesian breakfast options.

The following were only minor inconveniences, but needed to be made clear to potential visitors. 1) We originally liked that the location was set further away from the main Monkey Forest road areas, but it was less convenient than expected as the road it is on is super narrow 1 lane so very hard to walk it. The street had limited choices of things to eat or do as only a few warungs, etc. (This could be viewed as a positive to for some to get away from the crowds!). 2) 2nd sentence on the Booking website says there are free villa shuttles available. This is NOT the case anymore, so you need to order a Grab service, as getting around is not very walkable. Websites should be updated.

Beautiful villa. Lovely views of rice paddies from the upstairs bedroom and deck. The pool was fabulous. Great set up with outdoor dining and plenty of loungers. Lovely staff. So nice having breakfast served outside eveyday. 1.4km walk to the palace/centre of Ubud.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom rice field view villa. Second bedroom accessed off the front deck not an internal door. Would not suggest for families with younger kids (our kids ended up sleeping in the lounge which worked fine if not quite what we had planned). Absolutely fine for 2 couples or those with older kids. Stairs to the main bedroom steep and slippery so not recommended for anyone with a mobility issue.

Our stay at the private jungle villa was absolutely amazing. The staff were so attentive, especially Bayu and Budi who were available to answer any questions and checking we were good! The villa itself was clean, so comfortable and beautifully laid out. We enjoyed our own pool and the multiple decks available. Breakfast was so tasty and good value for quite a bit of food and a great selection to choose from. The location is about 15 mins from downtown but it’s in a great area with lots of local restaurants only a few minutes away with more authentic food and cheaper prices. Don’t hestitate to stay here, it was exceptional! If we come back to Bali, we’ll be here again.

The only small downside was that the dinner meal was a bit bland. It might be made less spicy for our European palates but it could so with being a bit more flavourful! Still rating the whole thing exceptional though and it was fun to explore other eateries.

The pool was lovely, the location was private with a lovely outlook over the rice paddies from upstairs, breakfast was delicious and the hosts were helpful in suggesting someone who could organise activities for us. It was also close to some restaurants and shops so easy to get dinner without having to drive somewhere. Would happily stay there again.

This is probably more about Ubud than the property, but just to note that it is on a narrow busyish road, so not easy to walk too far down it safely. It turned out not to be a problem as we enjoyed the restaurant across the rice paddy. Something else to consider is that the two bedrooms have separate access, which we hadn't realised before. This might be a pro if you are staying with older kids or everyone is an adult, as it did mean there was plenty of privacy, but we stayed there with younger kids and we weren't at a distance where we could hear them if there was an issue.

The Villas were really lovely. Lots of space and you could tell they paid close attention to keeping things clean and bug free. Insect repellant plug-ins are provided and are replaced as needed which helped to create a nice home space. The staff were always more than willing to help and gave us lots of advice during our stay and organised our laundry for us on multiple occasions. Bottled water was also provided every day, with extra provided for brushing your teeth. Breakfast was provided to the room each morning. There were lots of options (and we tried them all in our stay). They were all delicious, filling and nutritious - a great way to start the day. The area was quiet so we got a lot of rest. It was a really relaxing place to be. We would definitely stay again if we found ourselves back in Ubud.

We had the djungle view villa which was extremely nice. Location was super quiet and a 20 minute walk to the city centre, we were not afraid to walk on the street since it was not very busy. Staff is very nice.

What we didn’t realise prior to the booking (it is mentioned in the booking details but we didn’t see it) is that people from other villas will come to the djungle view villa for breakfast and to use the pool. In our case, people were respectful, so it was fine, but this will depend on the other hotel guests. Floating breakfast is way too expensive (300k IDR extra charge), we had it at other accommodations for 30-50k extra charge. The transport offered by the hotel is also expensive compared to Grab and other drivers. There was no trash bin and no kitchen equipment in the accommodation. A water dispenser would also be great to avoid plastic waste.

Awesome villa with jungle view and a large pool. Almost total privacy. Super friendly staff. Nice breakfast (there are 5 choices and you can order in advance). Super relaxing. Since you're Ina jungle you'll probably be visited by local fauna.

Position is a bit away from Ubud city center, you'll need to walk about 1,5km or call a grab/use a motorbike. Traffic across all the island is a nightmare so plan carefully trips to other places.

The property was perfectly situated away from the hustle and bustle but at the same time very accesible to the main road.. The room service, house keeping staff were excellent and always ready to assist if need arised... Special thanks to the staff namely Mr. Budi and Mr Hari for making us feel comfortable and always there to help us...the breakfast spread and the taste itself was excellent...tried local breakfast also at the property Will like to come here again the next time in ubud

Every aspect of the accommodation is simply amazing. The attention to detail is simply incredible, all very clean, neat, exquisitely decorated and designed. The pool is itself a masterpiece, the surrounding gardens and jungle view is simply gorgeous. Everything is cared-for with utmost consideration, and the guest immediately feel 'at home'. This place is simply heaven on earth ! Ideally located just a bit away from the hectic bustle of the centre of Ubud (a 15 mn stroll by a convenient street gets you directly to the main street, Jalan Raya Ubud), the villas unite the best of both worlds : we did all our activities and sightseeing on foot in the town, and at the same time could have very quiet rest moments at night and whenever we fancied staying a bit in the villa (often at the end of the day, after extensively touring the surroundings of Ubud). We are not much demanding about tech conveniences, so this is not our main point of concern, but the villa has everything to offer on that matter, from air conditioning to TV, a very powerful and reliable WiFi, a completely equipped kitchen, etc. The main remarkable features for us where the exquisite decoration, attention to detail and the taste involved in every choice of furniture, general layout and organization of space. The bathroom itself is a gorgeous piece of work. The outside amenities are memorable, with a splendid gazebo where you can seek some shade on sunny hours, and a very beautiful overflow pool, enshrined in a luxuriant and cared-of garden of trees, bushes and flowers. Eventually the major points of excellence of the D'Legon Villas are the staff members, at the same time both discrete and the nicest people, wishing to cater for all our needs with high professionalism - special mention for the amazing breakfasts. We leaved the place with fond memories of our interactions with all the wonderful people there, and they will definitely be part of the reasons we already plan to come back ! :-)

We honestly tried to find some drawbacks or annoyances, even the slightest, and nothing comes to mind :-). Just a great and unforgettable experience.

The place is huge and very nice. It feels luxurious and upscale and the staff is very attentive. The pool is great and the rooms are private from one another. There are some nice restaurants on the street and laundry nearby. The owner, Marya D'Legon is super nice and even led us on our tour one day. He is very kind and helpful.

It was a bit loud at night with traffic from the road and the restaurants nearby. The A/C in the upstairs primary bedroom was overworked so it was a little warm at night for us. The office is several blocks away so the staff is not on site but they are very attentive and arranged tours, rides, food etc.
