The staff were very polite and kind. One day I left & hadn't told anyone I'd left (when my ride came there wasn't anyone at the reception) but when I arrived later that night (midnight) someone came to let me in & though it was my own fault for not informing them I was returning late, they were very understanding. Some of the loveliest and welcoming people I've ever met (especially at a hotel/villa). The views were stunning to wake up to. I was a bit worried about coming in April and rain but though it was humid the weather was awesome. The villa is decorated beautifully and the room was nice & spacious (but I was a solo traveller). I liked (& I know some people may not) the fact it wasn't as full of other tourists (Ubud in general) as other areas in Bali (e.g. I went to Canggu and it sometimes felt like I was seeing just as many tourists as Balinese people) so I do feel like it has a more authentic Bali experience. However, if you do want to be around more tourists or have as many options as they do in areas like Canggu the Grab ride (by car) for me was approx $250000 IDR - it was even cheaper ($90,000) for a Grab bike but the distance is quite long for a motorbike ride.

There were some little ants in my room on the last day but they likely entered when I would open the door. The food was nice for the price it was but definitely got better outside the premise. Do bare in mind that though they don't charge for room service, the prices on the menu don't include tax & service charge. As a solo traveller I didn't feel as safe leaving my villa alone, but if you do, I don't think there would be anything wrong with it.

They were kind, friendly, and attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. From offering local insights to accommodating our every need with a smile, their hospitality was second to none. The breakfast was another highlight — every meal was delicious. Our stay at Puri Andong Villa was nothing short of extraordinary. This spacious Balinese house, located just 15 minutes on foot from the heart of Ubud, is a paradise wrapped in an authentic Balinese mood, making it an ideal oasis of tranquillity and culture. The architecture of the villa beautifully encapsulates traditional Balinese designs. The family temple and the intricate details around the villa exuded a charm that is distinctively Balinese. Our room offered a stunning view from a balcony overlooking a serene pool, which turned out to be the perfect spot for a hearty breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, it was simply delightful. The scrambled eggs, Eggs Benedict, and the variety of exotic fresh fruits were tantalizing to our taste buds. Paired with the rich Balinese coffee, it was a great start to our day, every day. The cleanliness of the villa was impeccable. Every corner, every piece of furniture, every detail was spotless, reflecting the dedication of the staff in maintaining high standards of hygiene. The team at Puri Andong Villa was incredibly friendly and helpful. They were more than happy to share stories about the rituals and history of Bali. Watching them make the offerings and light the fragrant 'dupa' incense in the back garden was a wonderful insight into their culture. Moreover, after cleaning our villa each day, they would leave us a Balinese story, tied up with the three yarns used for the Tridatu bracelet, sparking our anticipation for the next day's tale. The location of Puri Andong Villa is also commendable. It's in close proximity to Ubud center, which offers a plethora of cafes, spas, live music venues, and cultural performances like the ones at Cafe Lotus. Also, the villa is just a stone's throw away from the Campuhan Ridge Walk, where you can watch the sunset paint the sky with an array of colors. For all these reasons and more, we extended our stay to 8 days.

Fantastic hotel near Ubud city centre. We had an amazing time Puri Andong Villa, the staff was really kind, professional and thoughtful all the time. We really enjoyed our time and we recommend this hotel if you want to stay in Ubud. Facilities are high quality: room, restaurant and pool!

This is nothing to do with the hotel but please be aware the some of the money changers in the main road in front of the hotel are really scam. Just avoid going to places that have the best rate change because they will try to scam you. We had a really bad experience but thankfully the hotel helped us to get our money back.

The stayed at Puri Andong for nearly 2 weeks, our room was very comfy with a big bed , tv , hot shower and great internet. We loved being able to walk out to the pool , and we were well looked after on during the day of silence. The staff were all so kind and helpful. They offered a laundry service which was always back within the day and so helpful. I worked remotely from the room, and there is also a co working basically next door which was very affordable. One thing I think they could offer is a water tank in reception where you could fill up your water flasks. The restaurant was nice, and mainly Indonesian based, if you are after avocado toast or açai ( like I was , sorry I’m one of those) you’ll have to go into town. They did have vegetarian options though! We slept very well as it was very quiet , you can walk many places and we liked the coffee shop close by which had a lovely corgie dog

We came to Ubud from the West seeking a calm and restful beginning to our journey, especially with the time zone adjustment. We stayed for nine nights, and this beautiful property gave us exactly the environment we needed to unwind. Location-wise, it’s just a 5-minute motorcycle ride from the iconic Ubud Water Palace—close enough to the heart of Ubud while still offering a peaceful retreat. The property itself is absolutely stunning. If you're coming from the West, do yourself a favor and book this place—it’s truly worth it. The rooms are impeccable, with thoughtful attention to detail that makes them incredibly welcoming for long stays. Cleanliness was flawless—definitely a 5 out of 5. The service and staff? Also 5 out of 5. The ambient lighting in the room created a very cozy and calming vibe—again, a solid 5 out of 5. A couple of areas for gentle improvement: the bathroom lighting, especially around the mirror, could be a bit brighter. And while the food quality was good, the variety felt a bit limited—especially as vegetarians staying for over a week. After a few days, the menu started to feel repetitive, so we found ourselves sticking mostly to the fresh fruits in the mornings. That said, the staff really made the experience special. On several nights, we ordered food from outside, and they warmly offered to reheat it, serve it on proper plates, and bring it right to our room—such a thoughtful gesture. The pool area is another highlight—relaxing by the waterfall was one of our favorite pastimes. Even when we were resting indoors due to jet lag and requested late room cleaning, the staff accommodated us with genuine hospitality. On a rainy day, we found umbrellas already placed outside our room—another small but meaningful touch that showed how well the team anticipates guests' needs. In short, while there’s a bit of room to improve with the bathroom lighting and menu variety, our stay was filled with warmth, beauty, and restful moments.

It was like a haven in the middle of busy Ubud 💙 - When I booked, I was a little worried, since it was such in the middle of everything, but the reviews were so good, I decided to give it a chance. I am so glad I did! It's not a room, it's a villa with the highest roof I've ever seen and the most amazing headboards! There are only three villas in this hotel, by the way, so it's super quiet :) The staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. I celebrated my birthday while there and they wrote HAPPY BIRTHDAY in petal letters on the bed, they all arrived with a cake at breakfast, singing happy birthday, they were just awesome. Amazing service, quiet air conditioning, comfy beds, great internet connexion, cheap prices, seriously a not-so-hidden gem!

It's in the middle of downtown Ubud, so it can be noisy at night, however, they provided ear plugs for us, so it didn't bother us. There was nothing really that I really didn't like about the stay!

Our stay at Puri Andong Villa in Bali was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with the warmest hospitality by the incredibly kind and attentive staff. Their genuine care and impeccable service made us feel at home instantly. The villa itself is a hidden gem, offering a peaceful and serene environment that’s perfect for relaxation. It’s incredibly quiet—just the sounds of nature around you. It was exactly what we needed to unwind and recharge. Breakfast was another highlight! Every morning, we were treated to a delicious and fresh meal, thoughtfully prepared and served with a smile. It was the perfect way to start the day.

I enjoyed staying in Puri Andong Villa! The staff are suprr friendly and accommodating. Septia was always trying to go beyond and others too. Thank you so much for your hospitality! The building, pool, restaurant and the villas are all well organized beautifully and the pool is maintained perfect. The restaurant compared to the size of the hotel was spacious enough and in a good location next to the pool so you can have food, afternoon drinks and teas and reading, all is good. The location is a little outside the main town center but if it is in the main town center you have to up your budget so we were satisfied. Really happy with everything.

We had a great stay in a double room and one of the suites. The hotel is well taken care of, rooms are nice and clean, there are two pools and a good restaurant that we enjoyed. As others pointed out, the staff is amazing. Especially Septia and Kadek made sure that everything is to our liking and they were always up for a chat and shared interesting things about Bali and Balinese culture. But also all the other employees whose names I don’t know were always really friendly and always had a smile for everyone. It was a wonderful stay at Puri Andong Villa!

The street going into Ubud Center was quite congested every day. Not a problem of the hotel and you can also not hear any noise in the hotel. It’s just an Ubud problem. The streets were just not build with all the tourists and cars in mind.
