Beautifully laid out accommodation- the buildings are well maintained and decorated.. Very much a boutique with only a few villas. The pool is a good size and is actually deep. There is a shower to rinse off. Comfortable loungers pool side. The staff are excellent. Friendly and helpful. Every time we arrived back, we were greeted with iced water. My daughter had taken a small spill at a water fall and they provided betadine. I felt valued by the staff. Breakfast is ordered the night before and is delicious. I was greeted by staff with a birthday cake and song for my birthday upon arrival. We stayed in a room upstairs above the shared lounge / lobby. There are only two rooms upstairs with a more private lounge between the rooms giving you absolutely no neighbouring room. We made use of the both the front and back decks up here. Our room was large and both single beds were canopied together with a large net curtain at night. It gave it a fairy tale feel which we loved. There is a small mini bar with reasonably priced drinks and snacks. A stand alone water dispenser is included so we could refill our bottles and use it to brush our teeth. There is a turn down service; at night we would return with windows closed, net curtains down and room sprayed for any mossies. Extremely helpful. Our room also provided sarongs for both the pool as well when you visit temples. It included typical toiletries as well as mosquito repellent and earplugs. Tip: walk about 400 metres up the road and on the left is a laundry service. 3kgs cost me $42k. Ready the next day. Absolutely stay here again

I hated that I had to leave.

The staff was really amazing and willing to help us. They even let us use another room to have a shower before leaving (even though we had already checked out). The food is good and the location enable us to walk most parts of the city which is definitely a good point. However it is the staff that makes this place incredible. Thank you a thousand times!

A little noisy in the room (open windows, Balinese style) but it is really to be picky ;)

Breakfast was great every day. The roo. Is very clean and the people who work there are amazing. Always happy to do anything for you. They help book tours they even have a car to drop you off in town twice a day. They resort is in walking distance to the main street.

Everything was good but what really set this place apart from other places was the exceptional staff, they really made you feel like you were at home, small tight-knit family that all said hello and really felt like they cared about your stay and the rest of your day. They remembered that I liked chilis with my breakfast and no sugar in my juice and continued to deliver throughout the week without having to ask twice! They clean your room twice a day and helped with you everything you need, from mosquito repellent to shuttles into town. They even went above and beyond to rectify a misunderstanding. Thanks for the amazing stay!

Not a huge deal but just didn't expect it to be semi-open air. I think the window had wooden blinds but it had no glass panes so mosquitos could easily get in. Also charging was hard as there were limited outlets in convenient places.

Our time at Kano Sari was absolutely amazing, from check-in to check-out! The team were incredibly helpful and friendly, and really made our stay even more enjoyable. The room was perfect and had everything that we needed and more! The food was beautiful and the breakfast juices are not to be missed! (The ABC comes highly recommended). Beautiful pool with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the sun shine. The location is also perfect as it is away from the hustle and bustle in the centre of Ubud, but still also within walking distance from many restaurants and shops. Kano Sari is the perfect place to stay whilst in Ubud!

Absolutely nothing, it was all amazing!

The common area was a very spacious and clean. I loved that everything was open to nature which gave the property a very calm and relaxing experience. The pool was wonderful with both enough spots in the sun and shade. The patio where you have breakfast is excellent with a nice view of a small bit of jungle. The room was very spacious and super tidy. Luckily they had a mosquito net as the room was exposed to open nature.

Perhaps this isn’t a real flaw, but the room was not completely closed, so if you’re not used to sleeping with sounds of insects, gecko’s or owls, it may be difficult to fall asleep.

Our stay in Kano Sari was in the Jepun suite, which is a huge villa type room with bathroom outside and seperate living area. The breakfast is served right next to your room in the outdoor sitting area and it is GREAT. Every evening you get to choose from different ala-carte menus and the next morning a lovely breakfast will be served with a smile from the super friendly Kano Sari team. We stored one of our luggage bags in the hotel when we set of to explore the rest of Bali by motorbike and the employees have taken really good care of it. They even messaged me worries when I was a little late picking it up. For service and quality I would definately recommend the Kano Sari villa's.

As expected from other reviews the mosquitos were really aggresive during our december stay. But the netting around the bed and the supplied repelend helped a lot. There is a bat who lives above the balcony area at night and he makes a mess which is cleaned by the housekeeping every day. This was not a problem for us, it is nice to see this thing of nature up close. But it is good to know you can expect that sitting outside on the balcony in the morning is not always possible before cleaning. Tip: use the supplied flashlight to look at the bat when you are awake at night. It is a magnificent creature. Kano Sari is not the most economical choice in the area, but we were not sorry we booked for these prices.

Communication with staff was excellent (special thanks to Novi, Agung, Nira, and the team for being so helpful). The property is beautiful, in a very green setting (lovely garden and the property backs on to a forested ravine - lovely views from some of the rooms). We also found it helpful to be within easy walking distance of central Ubud and all that it has to offer. The breakfast and pool area are also great for relaxing in. The rooms/villas themselves are private, spacious, attractive, well laid out, and very well equipped, with some nice touches (unlimited drinking water, sarongs for visiting temples). Bathrooms are large and open to the outside (with associated pros - good ventilation - and cons - e.g., lack of soundproofing - that this brings). We also enjoyed being able to organise everything (transfers, day trips, massages, etc.) through the hotel

A beautiful boutique hotel, that is more like a luxury villa with exceptional service. Impeccably clean with the most gracious staff. Even the smallest suite is large and comfortable. Beautiful pool. Excellent breakfasts and great all-day dining options. Nicely located for walking to the main sites, and the free on-demand shuttle to anywhere in the center of Ubud is a real plus on hot and/or wet days. The best massage is also easily arranged. An overall great value.

The reception and upstairs lounge do not have air conditioning, but there is usually a nice breeze flowing through both. We did not mind that there was some noise from the reception/kitchen area below our suite (Capung room), but other suites will be more quiet if that is important. No TV in our room, which wasn’t bad for us. These minor things would not prevent us from returning.

We loved everything about Kano Sari! The location is ideal, just 15 mins walk away from Ubud Palace but far from the chaos of Ubud centre, with a gorgeous view over the jungle. Our room was fantastic, extremely spacious and well organised - just note that you are not entirely isolated from the nature since the shutters do not have glass windows, therefore you may find little geckos and bugs in your room (but this is true for most if not all accommodations in Bali) - we didn’t have any issue with mosquitoes or other animals while at Kano Sari. The staff are FANTASTIC and really kind, they will help you with everything from transfers to day tours to arranging massages or dinner reservations. And their portfolio of activities and recommendations is also great. We did some cycling, a tour of the north of Ubud and also two massages at the resort with their own masseuses and everything was amazing and dreamy. Lastly, the food is also fantastic. We had dinner there 3 times because it was just so good and cheaper than other restaurants in town, and the one time we went to a fancy local restaurant - Hujan Locale - we regretted not having dined at Kano Sari. This resort is absolutely worth the money, don’t look anywhere else and just book here, you won’t regret it
