Booked upon the recommendations found online and Kubu Manah did not disappoint. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, it was very private and quiet. Loved the area set aside for breakfast and breakfast each morning was small but enough, made to order with fresh juice of your choice and absolutely delicious. Everything was clean and well maintained. The bathroom was just the best! Being a small boutique hotel we never shared the pool with anyone else. Wonderful for couples. Right next door is a fantastic little restaurant with fantastic food, with other restaurants to choose from close by. Convenience store across the road and very handy.

There was no refrigeration in the room which was a little disappointing as water was only ambient temperature and any drinks or fruit bought couldn’t be chilled. The air con unit was probably too small for the generous sized room. The room was for two people but there was only one chair in the room. None of the drivers seemed to know where Kubu Manah was when organising pickups for excursions or outings and they found it difficult to access the hotel by car as it was down a very narrow lane but that was also one of the massive positives of the hotel - the seclusion of the place.

We stayed at a really nice villa in Ubud called “Kubu Manoh UBud.” It’s been lovely, the staff are so friendly and so so helpful, nothing is too much trouble. It’s very inexpensive too, we initially booked 3 nights including breakfast for less than £80 total! The rooms are nice and cool as the AirCon is great. The beds are really comfortable and the showers are great too. Everything is brand new in these Villas 🙌 We loved it so much we booked an extra 4 nights here. I’ve attached some photos and videos to show our view from the breakfast table and view from our porch / balcony and also our Dragonfruit Smoothie Bowl which we’ve had as part of our Breakfast every morning! 😎 All in all - Kubu Manah UBud is highly recommended by both myself and my girlfriend 👌

I absolutely loved staying here! The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and I appreciated the daily cleaning, which made everything so comfortable. The location is perfect close to everything yet peaceful and quiet, surrounded by jungle. The bed was super comfortable, and the calm atmosphere made it an ideal place to relax. The food was delicious, and the whole vibe was amazing. I truly enjoyed sunbathing and unwinding by the beautiful pool. I felt so good that I extended my stay because I simply didn’t want to leave. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in Ubud highly recommend this place to everyone!

There’s absolutely nothing I didn’t like everything was perfect! The accommodation exceeded all my expectations and I truly enjoyed my stay.

We stayed at Kubu Manah for 4 nights and had a really great experience. The place has only been opened for around 6 months, so everything felt very new, clean, and exactly like the photos online. The rooms and facilities were well-kept and comfortable. Breakfast each morning was delicious, and the staff were super friendly — always greeting us with a smile and happy to help with anything we needed, like arranging motorbike rentals. It felt very peaceful but was still close enough to get into the center of Ubud easily. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a place to stay in Ubud.

We had an amazing stay at Kubu Manah Ubud! The hotel was comfortable, clean, and in a quiet location, but what truly made our experience pleasant was the exceptional service from the staff. We had several requests throughout our stay, and Ms. Tari was absolutely wonderful. She took care of everything with a smile—from arranging laundry to organizing trips and renting a motorbike. It made our stay so much more enjoyable. If you're looking for a place in Ubud where you'll feel genuinely welcomed and well taken care of, this is the perfect choice. A huge thank you to the entire team.

Staff: The staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and always greeted us with a warm smile. Their friendliness really stood out and made the experience feel personal and welcoming. Breakfast : Amazing. Super well prepared with many options, like eggs benedit Cleanliness: Very clean. Both the rooms and common areas were very clean. Of course you see some insects outside, like ants, which is completely normal given there's so many green areas outside. Location: Perfectly balanced! The hotel is far enough from the city center to be peaceful and quiet — a true escape from the noise - which is great considering how crazy Ubud traffic is. Still, it’s close enough to walk or take a Grab (equilvalent to Uber) and be in the main area in under 10 minutes. Pool Area: Super relaxing and beautifully maintained. Comfortable loungers, calm atmosphere, and the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. The hotel is very beautiful Overall Experience: Everything about this stay was excellent. From the calm surroundings to the amazing service, I couldn’t have asked for more. I’d definitely stay here again! 10 out of 10.

I was the second guest at Kubu Manah and I took a chance with them only having 1 review and WOW was it worth it. Exactly everything in the pictures and more. Every time I made a suggestion, they would provide a solution within those 24 hours. As a woman traveling alone, they made me feel like I was part of the family. It's actually taken my time to write this review because I wanted to do it justice and it also made me sad that I'm no longer there. I booked for 6 nights and ended up staying 14 days if that tells you anything. Tari- what a beautiful soul, she made the experience so much better, satay, rambutan she was always ready. She even took me into town one day to get something from the pharmacy after her shift had ended. Putra is a ray of sunshine, always with humor and joy, always a smile on his face. Jeffrey made beautiful meals in the kitchen and he also has a great singing voice (we had singing sessions even on my last day). Eka and Dewa spoke less English so I couldn't get to know them but they were always so nice and professional and willing to help in any way they could. The owner (who I didn't even realize was the owner until the end) is the NICEST, thank you Kayun for making such a special villa for people to enjoy in Ubud. Go support this Balinese owned villa. The pool is awesome, it's away from the noise of Ubud but only a 5 minute 🛵 to the center of it all (or if you are crazy like me a 25 minute walk). It's also so clean, they do such a great job of keeping the villa spotless. Also there are some great Warungs and restaurants walking distance from the villa. I cannot wait to go back soon. Thank you Kubu, you made the Bali experience worth it

Can’t recommend this place enough.Great location and a reasonable price this is easily one of my favourite places I’ve ever stayed the location is great and the surroundings are beautiful it’s secluded and away from the noise of traffic and everything else yet still only a few minutes from the centre of Ubud.The staff were exceptional and some of the friendliest people I have ever met and will help you with whatever you need.I tried a few of the breakfasts and all were delicious.I will definitely be returning here to stay next time I’m in Ubud

Do yourself a favor and stay here if you are in Ubud. Super friendly staff beautiful premises and spacious, clean room. The location is a bit outside the centre of Ubud, which in our opinion is better, because it can be very busy and feel overly touristic in the center. It’s about a 15min walk to the center but you can always rent a scooter from the reception in the hotel. They‘re very happy to help you with anything. There are restaurants, laundries and a supermarket very close by too.

The property is just as it shows. It is in the jungle with lovely spacious rooms and an amazing pool. The staff were so amazing and tentative on our stay. They made sure we had everything we needed, made us amazing breakfast and cleaned our rooms each day and helped us organise taxis when needed. I would stay here again definitely.
