The hotel is really beautiful and what makes it even better is the exceptional staff that I would like to thank once again! The pool is amazing and offers breathtaking view of the rainforest.(there is an issue here though that I will explain later) Rooms are large,clean and very nice decorated.There was a humidity smell in the room but it didn’t really bother me.I understand it’s a tropical place.You will also see insects on the balcony but that didn’t bother me either.After all you are in the middle of a rainforest. Breakfast was basic but good.Perhaps they could add a few more options to the menu. Cocktails and food at the pool bar were also very good.The portion of the pasta could have been a bit bigger though. There is free shuttle to ubud center few times per day but you can also use taxi service anytime. The hotel also organizes day tours which I did and really enjoyed.

The reason I booked this place is because of the beautiful pool and the great view. Even though the pool is huge,the pool deck is really small and thus all the sunbeds are cramped next to each other offering no real distance and privacy among guests.That makes it kind of uncomfortable. What’s even worse is the fact that the hotel uses the pool area as a day club.It means that outsiders can just come there and occupy the few sunbeds that should be reserved for paying guests.This is not ok towards hotel guests. On my last day a group of outsiders came to use the pool drinking and making a lot of noise. I wonder how the pool area looks like during high season with all these outsiders and influencers. The management should really look into this.

Staying at this beautiful hotel was an amazing experience. The pool view was like paradise, overlooking a stunning forest. The room was very clean and beautifully designed, with a balcony offering a breathtaking view. The breakfast was good. One day, we had the chance to join an outdoor yoga class at the hotel, which was an incredible experience. The yoga instructor was excellent. Most importantly, the staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming. On the last day, they surprised me for my birthday with a beautiful cake, creating a wonderful memory of my birthday in Bali. Overall, we had a very pleasant and relaxing stay at this lovely hotel, and I highly recommend it!

I can’t say there was anything I didn’t like about the hotel. The only thing was that the hotel had two restaurants—one served modern cuisine with great quality food, though it was slightly more expensive than restaurants in the city center. We also tried the local restaurant within the hotel once, but we didn’t enjoy the food, maybe because it didn’t match our taste. We really wanted to try the hotel’s massage center as well, but since it was much more expensive than the massage centers in the city, we chose to go to one in town instead. Overall, the hotel’s services were excellent, and I can’t find any faults with it.

We loved our stay at Metland Venya! The location was great, offering the most relaxing experience away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud centre that is just 10 minutes away. The staff were so kind and helpful. The room was very spacious and cleaned so well every day. The pool view is to die for. Also, breakfast was delicious with many options to choose from.

The only negative thing is the amount of humidity that is inevitable due to the forest.

Views were awesome, also the restaurant food was quite good

Our friends have a 4 years old kid who was sick at night, unfortunately she puked on the towel at night. Our surprise when we checked out the hotel wanted to charge xtra 200.000rp for the laundry. Finally we ended paying 100.000rp.

The staff were very friendly and attentive, they remembered us by name the entire time and knew about dietry requirements for every meal. The chef had something prepared for us at every meal. The room was clean, comfortable, had ice cold air con, a great bathroom and fantastic view. The pool was amazing with an exceptional view plus a great bar serving food and drink poolside. Could not be happier with my stay and will be returning on my next visit to Ubud.

The staff are incredible and cannot do enough to assist you. The property is in a beautiful spot surrounded by jungle with stunning views. Food is very good at the resort. The shuttle bus to ubud is very convenient and it is really easy to get a local driver to take you out and about for days. We had a later flight so were able to extend our room until 6pm for 50% of daily charge which was great. Rooms are very nice too and the pool and attached cafe were lovely.

There is not much not to love about this place. We were travelling with an elderly relative so walking to local food spots was not really possible as the majority of them are 1-2kms away - but that was more of an ‘us’ problem!. There are also a lot of steps around the place, but if you are reasonably mobile this is not a problem. May be addition tea and coffee for the rooms would be good as you only get two coffee pods, two tea bag’s and two creamers - that said the room is serviced everyday so that’s a really minor issue.

The hotel is absolutely stunning. The room size is big and there was a balcony overlooking the eternity pool and forest - breathtaking.

We had a recurring sewage smell in our room. Despite complaining several times, the staff could neither solve the problem or change our room. This really ruined the experience - They should really focus on resolving this issue. It’s too far to walk from the hotel to Ubud city center. The hotel does have a shuttle service going into Ubud town but the service is infrequent and ends way too early. The meals at the hotel are really below average - you are better off exploring the restaurants in Ubud.

The best place on earth, luxury vila in the middle of the jungle, with outdoor swimming pool and spa. Room is spacious with little balcony facing the nature, huge bathroom with a bath and shower, has everything you need, king size bed and huge TV. The restaurant offers European and Balinese food, breakfast is more than you can imagine. Staff is exceptional, friendly, smiley, happy, amazing. Can’t fail this place, it’s a beauty on earth. There is a shuttle bus taking you to Ubud and back. I would love to go back to this place, it’s just wonderful Thank you for making our stay more enjoyable, we had a brilliant time ❤️

We loved everything about this hotel

First and foremost, we travelled around Bali and nowhere has a view like Metland Venya, it was unreal. Being right in the jungle was so peaceful yet wild. Rai was such an accommodating host in the breakfast restaurant, when I had food poisoning she made sure I had congee and some ginger tea which really helped. We had lots of great advice for where to go from the hotel reception and found the man driving us to our little villa at night so funny. Our room had all amenities we needed, even a nice fruit bowl with fruits like Snake Fruit. The pool is small but beautiful, and the pool staff were attentive, we enjoyed having our coconut by the water. We also visited the spa where we had a lovely massage – it smelled so gorgeous and the ladies there were very kind and helpful. They gave us free tea too!

The dinner food was not good unfortunately, it was as if the breakfast and dinner chefs were different to each other. Needs to be improved and with a more fun ambience for night time restaurant.

Metland Venya was an exceptional hotel. We stayed in Spring so slightly out of peak season. The highlights of the hotel are both the location and the staff. The location is gorgeous, with the entire sitting in a ravine and therefore facing a beautiful jungle on the other side of the ravine, with the sounds of birds and plenty of greenery to enjoy. The staff at all points were kind, courteous, and well-informed. We stayed in one of the villas which was both comfortable and clean. Every morning we would wake up to the gorgeous view of the jungle. We would also recommend the on-site spa which was excellent and great value. It was also delightful to participate in the organized, chargeable activities. Special shout out to Terry who works at the resort who drove us around the resort and out of the resort for some of our activities. Breakfast was superb and on-site restaurants and room service were also tasty.

The free, daily resort activities could use improvement. We enjoyed morning yoga with a yoga teacher, but the other activities were taught by resort staff who - we felt - were not fully trained to deliver a class.
