Perfect location at the heart of Ubud (huge bonus - no need for transportation, everything around Ubud center can be done by walk). The Ubud Water Palace is at the heart of the property and the restaurant overlooks the palace which was really great. The Family Bangalow was very convenient for the family (the rooms are small but works just fine). The food was good at the restaurant and breakfast meals were tasty. The staff were super nice helping us with finding taxi, activities etc. The Spa was great. My family and myself enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back here during our next Bali trip :) Thank you for everything!

The central part of the property is in the middle of renovation. Pool area is facing a new villa being renovated so expect some noise and some incovenience entering the main area but nothing major :)

Location is excellent, right next to the magical water palace in Ubud and centrally located. Beautiful old building, very authentic. Breakfast was great.

They hadn't told us they were renovating the property, would not have booked the room if I knew this at the time of booking. Noisy, everything was covered in dust, could not really use swimming pool. This really spoiled the experience and we had to pay full price despite this inconvenience.

Lovely and historic hotel on the same grounds as one of the main palaces of Ubud. We forgot our passports and some money. The staff acted immediately and even arranged a driver to transport us between two completely different hotels in Bali later in our trip so we could get back the passports and money at the same time. Great!

Very Bali… Beautiful rooms… Restaurant with nightly shows, tables around water filled with flowering lilies and a view of the most beautiful temple I have seen. Great value for the money. I would stay here again. The restaurant had excellent food, and the staff were great there as well. I cannot say enough about the staff and their kindness. You would be happy staying here if you want to fill an experience true Bali. (my husband and I both were sick so we had to leave early and that made us very sad. We would love to have stayed longer.)

I love the property, but…my husband would have been much happier if there had been a standup shower. There is a showerhead, but you have to be in the tub setting to use it. The hotel is getting a facelift and I’m sure that will be part of it, but overall, I loved the property.

Beautiful location right next to the Saraswati temple ( or part of ) , our rooms were situated right next to the side entrance of the temple, the reception Rati was very helpful and attended to our needs very well, we were there during a festival and gets to see the inside of the temple decked up for the festivities, I even got to meet the Prince of Bali, wonderful experience overall !

Breakfast at Lotus Cafe is lovely and easily accessible. The staff there is very courteous and the choice of food is just right. Being at such a magnificent place with the majestic view of the Saraswati Temple is a joy. The bed is comfortable although I would have preferred better pillows. It is a joy to stay in such a private space in the middle of busy Ubud, so this location is ideal for those who want everything at arms´ length as well as with privacy and seclution when retiring at own quarters. Staff is very helpful and polite. Very nice team. The pool is wonderful. Just the right size and also very clean and secluded. All in all I had an amazing break and felt at home in my two weeks¨s stay. My room was one of the best ones of the property and I am happy to have kept it throughout the whole period. I will certainly come back and will bring my husband this time :-)

The pillows of the bed. They could have been fluffier. The towels are old and could be of better quality, considering the price of the stay. My room would need a fresh coat of paint indoors. The minibar fridge is nice to have, but terribly noisy. The Lotus Bar offers a set breakfast menu however charges for anything outside of the list. It does not offer a replacement of the Balinese coffee with a cappuccino for example (and if ordered, it is extremely expensive). Perhaps this could be added to the breakfast menu drinks?

Everything was perfect. The staff was really really nice and helpful. The breakfast was good and the hotel was very nice. The room was really nice with a balcony looking to the Saraswati temple, where we got to watch a theatrical representation.

The ilumination in the room was very dim. The entrance was under some renovations and was not that comfortable to get around.

This was our first day and first experience when we landed in Bali and absolutely no regrets! We were greeted with the most friendly and helpful team. And when our room wasn’t exactly ready as they wished, because it was being renovated, they overcompensated with additional services. And the room they offered, by the way it was perfect too! The free breakfast that their adjoining restaurant was also amazing with fantastic service. You must take advantage of the massage and if possible, extend it for the full hour because it is worth it! It is the best massage I have had ever had! The location is perfect and in the hub of everything walkable, but easy access to scooters and travelling around the area. It might be a little more expensive than some other places, but absolutely worth it and I would come back again.

The King Room I had was stunning. Beautiful veranda area with sofa and dining table, lovely bedroom with little garden, huge indoor and outdoor bathroom (with fabulous shower and stand-alone bath). Lovely luxury. The architecture and the finishes are so authentic and beautiful. The planting and gardens just beautiful. Excellent massage. Basically joined on to the temple which makes watching Balinese dancing to traditional music possible from the bar/restaurant.

Breakfast was pretty good apart from the vile margarine. The other food a bit more patchy. They have huge kitchen renovations going on, so perhaps this was a factor.

The location was great next door to the palace and every morning you had an amazing complimentary breakfast with beautiful views of the water gardens, fountains and temple. I also had a complimentary fruit bowl on my balcony when I arrived, along with complimentary water in the room each day. Also, it was my birthday during my stay and I did not tell anyone, however the staff must have known from my passport. On my birthday, two staff members suprised me at the door of my hotel, sang me happy birthday, took my picture and presented me with a dessert, lit with a candle and my name written in chocolate wishing me happy birthday. Then upon checkout, the hotel presented me a framed photo of the picture they had taken on my birthday. The staff went above and beyond, were extremely friendly and helpful, the location was great and the food at breakfast and in the restaurant was excellent.

No complaints, only the weather. It rained a lot while I was there, but even the hotel provided complimentary umbrellas.
