We stayed here for one night to end our 10-day trip in Bali, and it was the perfect choice. The hotel has a beautiful traditional Balinese temple, the rooms are clean, comfy, and well-equipped. There’s a bar on-site, a tasty breakfast included, and we loved the 20-minute complimentary massage. In the evening, there was live music by the lotus pond – great vibe. Just what we needed before a long flight home.

Perfect location at the heart of Ubud (huge bonus - no need for transportation, everything around Ubud center can be done by walk). The Ubud Water Palace is at the heart of the property and the restaurant overlooks the palace which was really great. The Family Bangalow was very convenient for the family (the rooms are small but works just fine). The food was good at the restaurant and breakfast meals were tasty. The staff were super nice helping us with finding taxi, activities etc. The Spa was great. My family and myself enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back here during our next Bali trip :) Thank you for everything!

The central part of the property is in the middle of renovation. Pool area is facing a new villa being renovated so expect some noise and some incovenience entering the main area but nothing major :)

Location is excellent, right next to the magical water palace in Ubud and centrally located. Beautiful old building, very authentic. Breakfast was great.

They hadn't told us they were renovating the property, would not have booked the room if I knew this at the time of booking. Noisy, everything was covered in dust, could not really use swimming pool. This really spoiled the experience and we had to pay full price despite this inconvenience.

Lovely and historic hotel on the same grounds as one of the main palaces of Ubud. We forgot our passports and some money. The staff acted immediately and even arranged a driver to transport us between two completely different hotels in Bali later in our trip so we could get back the passports and money at the same time. Great!

Very Bali… Beautiful rooms… Restaurant with nightly shows, tables around water filled with flowering lilies and a view of the most beautiful temple I have seen. Great value for the money. I would stay here again. The restaurant had excellent food, and the staff were great there as well. I cannot say enough about the staff and their kindness. You would be happy staying here if you want to fill an experience true Bali. (my husband and I both were sick so we had to leave early and that made us very sad. We would love to have stayed longer.)

I love the property, but…my husband would have been much happier if there had been a standup shower. There is a showerhead, but you have to be in the tub setting to use it. The hotel is getting a facelift and I’m sure that will be part of it, but overall, I loved the property.

Beautiful architecture and decoration in rooms, comfortable beds, great service.

Some construction ongoing, tiles missing from the pavements etc made walking with a toddler hazardous. There is a local music performance in the hotel restaurant every day at 7.30pm which lasts little more than 1 hour. Some nights it was very loud noise combined with some yelling/groaning, which was scary for the kids and unpleasant for the adults. Also, one night the live music continued to 10pm. Small kids trying to go to bed at 8pm - not a great combo. Better soundproofing is needed, as hotel offers family rooms.

Ideal central location within the water palace. Breakfast in the water palace restaurant was ample with variety of choices including Indonesian and Western. Also the setting had lovely views over the water palace. Free to visit the water palace anytime. If you book dinner you get to watch the balinese dance show for free. The villa felt like your own home amongst the temple grounds.

They're improving the accomodation so you get to see construction work in progress. However you get to see how they make the villas using traditional construction methods.

Excellent location. Wonderful friendly service. Beautiful traditional rooms with modern bathrooms. Fair sized & clean pool (for boutique style accommodation). 20 min free massage was amazing. We were upgraded after a mix up with our booking. Also received free meal as compensation for mix up (as we had to move rooms halfway through our stay). Staff went above & beyond to help, I was very impressed & grateful.

The one thing that might need tweaking is the breakfast service. Breakfast offering is a set menu (choice of 3 types) and was generous, however the service itself was a bit hit and miss. Is meant to start at 7:30am but doesn't really start until 8am (we got caught out once on early day trip), and another day had to wait 30+ minutes for food.

Beautiful location right next to the Saraswati temple ( or part of ) , our rooms were situated right next to the side entrance of the temple, the reception Rati was very helpful and attended to our needs very well, we were there during a festival and gets to see the inside of the temple decked up for the festivities, I even got to meet the Prince of Bali, wonderful experience overall !

It's in a very convenient location along Jl. Raya Ubud, but a little way back from the road so it wasn't noisy. The separate bungalow-like rooms were very sturdy and we had a quiet stay. We enjoyed an Indonesian and American breakfast while looking out at the beautiful garden. In the same restaurant, we had a leisurely dinner while watching a dance performance in the evening. The staff were cheerful and welcoming, and we were able to relax. The photo they gave us when we left became a fond memory. The yoga lesson by instructor Elpu was held in a garden filled with lotus flowers. It was a truly valuable experience! Sweet Orange Walk was about a 5-minute walk from the inn, and we enjoyed a stroll while looking at the rice fields.

It would have been better if the bath water was a little warmer.
