The staff was absolutely amazing! There are very nice and even arranged me a birthday cake! The location is also right in the center with everything a walking distance but the premises is very calm and relaxed. I would definitely come back!

Thank you so much everyone at Matahari Inn, for welcoming us here, we have felt right at home. Hotel description: beautiful garden, room beautifully clean, great pool for swimming, the beach only ca 500m away but you won't be able to swim there as it is full of fishermen's boats. So you'll need to walk for a bit to get to the other side where you can swim...ca 20min from the hotel. You can walk along the beach or through the Kuta city and pass many stalls, selling g all kinds of stuff, which is also lovely. We got great dragon fruit and mangosteen (25000 Rp/kg) on the way to the beach every day. The breakfast is simple but delicious. We didn't need anything more. The staff at the hotel, Ali and his crew, are absolutely amazing, helpful, friendly and doing everything to accommodate the guests. I mentioned that my husband had a birthday and they bought him a cake and surprised him with it, so that we felt at home away from home. Such warm and exceptional people...thanks again for everything! I recommend this place to everyone.

Absolutely loved the pool, the staff and the management. The property is also set on lovely grounds amidst rainforest. Additionally they have 5 adorable cats that live at the property and love being patted.

The door to the bathroom didn’t close fully (however the managing team have taken note and will fix). A very minor inconvenience.

The Matahari Inn in Kuta Lombok is very centrally located making it an easy 5 minutes walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. All the rooms are priced very well, the AC is cold and the rooms are serviced every day. All the staff are very kind and smiling, happy to help out with anything you need. The pool is really nice, tucked away in the back surrounded by gardens and feeling very private. Overall it's a great hotel, run by a great family that make you feel welcome and at home. Fully recommend to anyone coming to kuta Lombok to stay here.

The staff are super nice and helpful! One evening, the owner even put on a meal for all the guests and the food was great! It’s a nice, quiet spot which still feels unpretentious. The pool is a lifesaver at the end of a busy day, such a good place to chill. As a solo traveler, I had a basic room and it had everything I needed. Thanks again to all the staff for being so welcoming and hospitable!

For me a basic room was great. If you’re in a couple, just upgrade.. it’s still very affordable.

Nothing everything was amazing

We had a beautiful stay here. The stuff is super friendly and do anything they can do to provide you the best time there. The Owner and his son even speak German.

Staff were AMAZING. Nothing was too much trouble. Pool was a favourite place to meet with family and sit and chat, well maintained gardens. Team were able to cater traditional food menu for our family event/birthdays at accommodation venue. An easy walk to everything and sufficient parking area in front for driver pick up.

A little bar fridge or cold drink selection at reception area would be good. Also pool towels available in pool area or from reception would be good idea. A fan or two on ceiling or mounted to 1 or 2 posts in reception qrea would circulate air on warmer days.

I had a truly wonderful stay thank you to the entire team for your warmth, professionalism, and care. The room was clean and comfortable, the atmosphere peaceful, and every small detail was thoughtfully handled. Special thanks to the staff who made me feel so welcome and that’s why I ended up beeing for long time it really felt like more than just a hotel, but a place I could relax and feel at home. I’d happily recommend this place to anyone looking for comfort, kindness, and quality service. Thank you again!
