Upon arrival, we were given a free upgrade to a cottage, which had a kitchen, and 2 very large bedrooms, which was so kind, we were thrilled. The area is beyond peaceful. There was stuff to do for the kids, and our youngest loved going to see the money and goat. The staff are so helpful and so quick to respond. It is a short 20min drive to emerald park so it was a perfect place to stay after a day of adventure. The cottages are adorable, spacious and very comfortable. We will definitely be back for our next adventure.

Fantastic place, very private. Has everything you need even Coffee, Tea and Sugar. Beds are so comfortable, we used 2 as ny two kids slept together but there was 3 beds. Bedding is clean so was the kitchen and the bathroom. Owner is so helpful and accommodating. The place is also “Family friendly” there is an area for kids to play and also they can see the goat and the donkey over the fence, kids were delighted and sad that we couldn’t stay longer. You can also get free range eggs in the property, amazing. We will 100% be back there.

All this is more suggestive than anything else as the place is fantastic. Needs some kind of lock in the door, the place is safe but I would sleep better if i can lock better the door. And clean under the bedside locker and small beds. Other than that the place was so clean and i mean it as im extremely fuzzy for the toilets and kitchen and was perfect and sheets were clean.

We’re just back from our stay and it was brilliant. Lovely friendly helpful staff, great value for money only 15-20 mins away from Emerald Park. Plenty of space in the room for our 2 kids ages 9&6.

The weather but that’s not anyone’s fault haha luckily it didn’t rain when we attended Emerald Park until later on that evening.

First stop on our round trip through Ireland, not too far away from Dublin, Newgrange, Emerald Park, Tara etc. The apartment had a kitchen/living room and a separate bedroom. Some chicken, a donkey and a goat also live on site and our 5yo enjoyed them and the small playground.

Nothing bad but some parts in the apartment as well as the playground seemed like they could need some renovation/replacement soon.

The property was ideal for what we needed. The 1 bed cottages have room to sleep up to 6 people and you couldn’t really ask for more. There is a very spacious kitchen/living area also with absolutely everything you could need for the trip. Gemma was also so helpful and welcoming and evening showed us where to get some Free Range Eggs from the Chickens on the farm for Breakfast😁

I couldn’t fault the property. Maybe a minor thing being the road noise from outside just in case you are a light sleeper but location is ideal for exploring Meath…Newgrange is just a few Kilometers away

Colourful doors, really welcoming, friendly staff. Our kids loved the chickens! We were upgraded to a cottage room, free of charge which was very kind. We also really appreciated the free access to laundry facilities! Really close to Newgrange and in a delightful pocket of Irish countryside.

Never stayed in a hostel but we actually had a great time....come and go as you please...had the use of everything including the BBQ which we did use very late....7 adults and 4 nine Yr olds and they loved it.would recommend here if you want the countryside .and had our own bathroom which was spotless.

There was no local shop or garage....so don't forget anything...

Great place to stopover for a night. Beautifully painted and great kitchen facilities. Stunning location. Excellent shower in the bathroom (we were in one of the self contained rooms with our own bathroom.

Mattress was a bit uncomfortable, but it is a hostel, so to be expected I think.

Slane is a pretty central location to many attractions. The cottage rooms have a kitchenette so you can make meals or get carryout from many places in town. The staff are super friendly. The grounds are gorgeous. They have a pet donkey and chickens.

Slane Farm Hostel was the perfect 3-night stay for our little family break. Perfectly located for Emerald Park, Tara, Newgrange and many other sites. The facilities were exceptional and both the owners and locals went above and beyond. I couldn't recommend it enough.

Everything was great. No notes.
