Having booked a deluxe superior room , we were not disappointed. The room was so well appointed and comfortable we simply dd not want to leave. The location was wonderful , looking out from our balcony terrace we could see the river and the portcullis gate of Trim Castle, stretching across the horizon to the Church grounds taking in the Church spire, and the Wellington monument . Getting up each morning and going out on the terrace to catch the fabulous views was another hidden treat we were not expecting. We dined in the Bailey for evening dinner, in Jules for breakfast which was wonderful and of course the lively and busy Barista Cafe for morning coffees and lunch on one of the days. Excellent all round experience and one could simply not visit Trim and Trim Castle without a visit to the Trim Castle Hotel .

Trim Town hall (in front of the Castle walls) where the tourist office is located is very poorly maintained and sticks out like a sore thumb as it is sitting between the Visitor Center and the Trim Castle Hotel. The dirty and dilapidated Town Hall spoils the viewing completely of what could be a top class scene. A Heritage building of such history as it was the old Market House in the 1800's, could be presented in a much more 'spruced up way', and presented in a Trifecta of history alongside with the Center and the Castle.

Proximity to the castle was the best! We stayed here on the night before our flight home (under an hour drive to DUB). It was pouring rain, but were able to take pictures from the hotel of the castle without getting wet. Did a quick walk around before castle opened. Very comfortable room. Large complimentary parking lot right next to the hotel. Loved that! Breakfast was good and very fast.

Expected an additional cold breakfast bar of fruit, yogurt, cereals. First place where I didn't have a 'pot' of coffee, just a cup.

Centrally located in Trim across from the Trim Castle this hotel was a perfect place for our last night in Ireland. The rooms were beautifully appointed, with tea kettle, drinking water, TV, and a little sitting area. We even had a partial view of the castle. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served in one of the restaurants and made to order. We couldn't have asked for a nicer to place to finish our 2 week trip to beautiful Ireland.

There is nothing that needed improving

We loved the magnificent views of Trim Castle! We had dinner at the restaurant located onsite during our stay, and the food was so good, plus more views of the castle! There is a parking located conveniently below the hotel, which is a plus. The beds were super comfortable, and the hotel itself is beautiful. My husband was really impressed by the hotel, the views, the town, everything! Wish that we had spent more than one night to explore more around town, but we had an early flight from Dublin in the morning (42 min drive to airport). We would definitely come back and spend longer here!

We loved it all. The hotel is in an exceptional position right next to St Johns Castle and all amenities are within walking distance. The breakfast was superb and represented very good value for money. Our room was very large and overlooked the castle which is illuminated at night.

We would have liked a late night bar in order to get a nightcap before heading to our rooms. Maybe a note to say you will need a swim hat at the leisure centre pool.

The Castle Hotel is fantastic! The first thing you notice when arriving is the absolutely enormous edifice of Trim Castle itself, which is right across the street. It dominates the view and is very grand. The hotel has a great underground parking garage on-site, which was spacious and very easy to navigate. The hotel itself is modern and chic. It has a great restaurant with some fantastic dinner options. It also has a gorgeous rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the castle; it can be visited even when its bar is closed. Our room was extremely spacious and very comfortable. The hotel staff were friendly, faultlessly professional, and courteous and accommodating. Our only regret is that we only stayed one night. Don't make the same mistake -- give Trim two nights, at least. There's a lot to take in, and the walking trails around Trim and historic Newtown start practically in the hotel's lobby. I, for one, will definitely be back and stay here again.

The rooms were not air-conditioned, but the hotel provided a fan, the rooms weren't too over-heated, and it was possible to open the windows without much street noise intruding; it's a quiet neighborhood. You should also be aware that the continental breakfast, for the time being, isn't self-service. Instead, a full-menu option with both continental-style and cooked breakfast courses is offered.They will, however, tweak the menu for you at your request. If a buffet-style, a la carte meal is s what you're after, definitely stay at this superb hotel anyway and just skip the breakfast; there are cafes right around the corner.

First of all the location was fabulous being right across the street from Trim Castle. The restaurant/bar was wonderful in that we enjoyed our beverages as well as our dinner while enjoying the view of the castle. We ate dinner at the restaurant and all four of us enjoyed our meals and the service. The breakfast room was also nice, as was our breakfast. We found our rooms to be very spacious, clean, updated, and comfortable We also liked the free on-site parking

There was nothing we did not like about the Trim Castle Hotel or our stay.

Lovely reception and clean smell of the hotel. Room was great and suited to our needs as a family of 4 with comfortable beds, good bathroom and shower. Netflix available. View nice of Trim too and trim castle as well from 3rd floor roof terrance. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice with a good selection to choose from. Handy to Navan and travel to and from Dublin. Had spacious parking as well

Beautiful Hotel, had a great few days, the room was big and very comfortable with everything you need for a weekend away, the staff were lovely and always made time to chat, especially in the Bar/Restaurant and the food was great, you won’t go hungry at breakfast as there is something for everyone, the historic Trim Castle is just across the road and set in beautiful grounds, the town is a short walk from the hotel, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back, thank you Trim Castle Hotel
