The rooms were clean and bigger than I expected. For the price, this stay was amazing. WiFi was excellent. The staff lady was very nice. Five stars. +++++

Check in was a bit confusing as we arrive late and it was dark. Google Maps was not accurate.

Overall a thumbs up, it's very reasonably priced so that's a real bonus, however be aware when you arrive there it's a University campus so it was dark and it took us a little while to find the reception, we met a very nice security man walking across a lawn who directed us to reception and we managed from there. be aware its student accommodation and shared bathroom set up, the room may be a considerable distance from the bathroom so if you have to use in the middle of the nite you may have a fair walk, this was highlighted and we had no problem with it, overall for the money it was spot on and we would say it was great value for money and we would use again

The setting on the 19th century university campus is stunning, with beautiful trees and grounds, near a bustling restaurant district. The location was also convenient for flying out of Dublin Airport the next day--more interesting and affordable than an airport hotel.

The room was hot and the window could only be opened a crack. Our room was located near the women's bathroom which was convenient for me but my husband had to walk down a long hallway to get to the men's room. So the comfort level was not high. It's a traditional dormitory, with twin beds.

This is a perfect choice for those wishing to avoid the high prices and hectic atmosphere of Dublin, yet still be able to easily get into the city without a rental car. Stunningly beautiful and quiet college campus located in the lovely small town of Maynooth. It is an experience in itself, far different than a hotel. Early morning walks around the campus’ numerous open spaces and adjacent parks was a great way to start the day. Aldi’s grocery is a 10 minute walk, as is the Main Street of Maynooth with all its restaurants, convenience stores, pubs, etc. The train station to Dublin is an easy 10-15 minute walk. The train connects in town with the hubs of other inter-city public transport that will get you to all the places in Dublin you’d like to go. (I recommend the Leap Visitor pass, available at the airport and elsewhere, for a low-cost, all-you-can-ride, tap-and-go card for Dublin’s trains, buses and streetcars. Maynooth falls within its zone of operation!) And if you do have a car and plan on heading west, you’re right on the main motorway to Galway.

The downside is it is a drab college dorm room, with minimal amenities. Toilets and showers are down the hall, but were never busy or full. Very quiet. The campus closes it’s gates at a certain time (around midnight), and the train from Dublin makes it’s last run (around 11pm), so may not be suitable for those inclined to be out late.

The friendly receptionist gave me a detailed map...the room was hard to locate but was airy and big enough for my bicycle. The bare wooden floorboards gave it a monastic vibe. The communal bathroom was along the corridor and was spotless. The campus is a short walk from the centre and some nice pubs.

The window blind could be darker to better Nick out sunlight. The water-saving concusive tap on the shower almost gave me RSI as it inactivated for roughly five seconds and needed to be repeatedly pressed.

The rooms are located right within the campus. And the campus is just absolutely gorgeous! So green, amazing architecture, so serene and beautiful. It’s also very calm and silent so you get to sleep really well. The campus is located 10 mins away from the Maynooth train station by walk(you need to take a bridge with steps), directly accessible from and to Airport via Airhopper and takes about 50 mins. It takes about 50mins - 1h to get to Dublin and not expensive either. The room itself was very comfortable with the view of the garden. Loved waking up to the beautiful views. The rooms are accessible via lift. The staffs at the reception are really nice and friendly and really help with any questions.

The bathroom inside the room was accessible by 2-3 steps, chances of tripping in the middle of the nugget are likely. I unfortunately did not get any hot water in the shower when I had to get to the airport early in the morning and that was really disappointing as it was freezing cold outside and was impossible to take a cold shower. The switches to switch off the lights are no where located close to the bed.

Really a lovely place inside and out. Staff very helpful and friendly.. Bed was exceptionally comfortable with the room warm and fresh towels for your use.. Showers were very refreshing and plenty of hot water…

There was only one thing that I could complain about.The lift was out of order and I suffer from arthritis in my knees and found it very difficult and painful walking up and down the stairs of 3 floors to my room.. Even though the breakdown of the lift was out of the staff’s control.I personally think that a lift is a necessity to any place of lodgings I’m sure if you wanted to pay the extra money on the weekend to get it sorted there was someone you could call.. Just my opinion…

The campus is absolutely stunning. It was a pleasure to be able to stay there. The bedroom and bathrooms were spotless. The campus was still functioning, and there were students on site, but all were friendly as respectful. The staff couldn't do enough to make sure everything was OK. The campus was right in town, walking distance from shops, bars and cafes.

The rooms were quite a distance across the campus from the car park. I had a lot of heavy luggage (as I had all my camping equipment for a motorcycle tour), and I had to make multiple trips. This might also be an issue for those less mobile. The staff did, however, allow me to store a lot of my luggage in reception, which really helped.

The location, the beauty, the simplicity was wonderful.

Only had two issues with my room. One, is that the heater didn’t work and the temperature was quite cool cold and two the room smelt very strong of cleaning products, so for someone who is sensitive? It was almost overwhelming. the clothing I hung in the closet actually smelt like cleaning products when I took them out at my next location. So either best to air the room out or use less toxic cleaning products. And also take into consideration that the temperature was dropping so to give access to the heaters in the room.

Beautiful old building, felt like I stepped into Harry Potter's world with the beautiful corridors & huge breakfast hall & magnificent architecture. Bed extremely comfortable & spotlessly clean.

I had a room without en suite but this wasn't a problem as shower cubicles & bathrooms only few doors away. Showers great, lots of hot water & again, spotlessly clean. Fab location, few minutes walk t bars & shops.
