I loved that they were considerate. I use medication that is kept in the fridge. They availed the fridge for me. And all was ok .

I didn't like that on check in I knew I booked a family room, but on arrival I was given a deluxe room. The receptionist told me that the room is expensive. It wasn't about how expensive it was, it's about what I booked. We booked knowing exactly what we wanted and I had to roam around being shown the rooms that were not even close enough to what I booked. I was very annoyed. But lastly he gave me the family room, it wasn't having a bath tub, only a shower and the toilet was a struggle to flush. But we got on ok.

The staff were amazing! Hosting a cpd course in the tougher suite, Paul couldn't do enough for us! Staff in general went above and beyond to help accommodate and facilitate our needs! Highly recommend exceptional value for money. Restaurant has baristas, all staff appeared to be trained well, also has an ice cream freezer and sweets counter! The food was very good, a home cooked style. Bar and restaurant busy, vibe with plenty of atmosphere. Love the overall feel of the hotel.

With the exception of the conference suites, the hotel is slightly dated and there is a bit of wear and tear. Our room, while very clean, had significant signs of wear and tear.

The staff was excelent! Receptionist were understanding, helpful, and kind any time I aproached them. The staff in the restaurant area was also kind. The HK staff (house keeping) were very helpful and professional! Despite beeing right next to a high way on the second floor I heard nothing from it (although my room was on the court side, not the highway). Since I like walking the store next to the Maldron hotel (1,3Km on foot) was also in available distance. Unfortunately the city didn't really live up to my expectations for several reason, but the Phoenix Park and the Hotel did a great job saving what could be saved! Greetings from room 202 :)

The beds are too soft for my liking which caused some difficulties sleeping. The lack of safe in the rooms made me go all dnd (do not disturbe) during my stay. The hotel lights at night were a bit too strong for me even with the blackout curtain. Not the hotel's problem, but buses goes there more or less every half hour (I use bus No.69 which went only every hour even through day time.)

The staff member waiting at the Bar entrance was rude and treated me like some sort of thug and allowed my girlfriend to walk past before stopping me abruptly and asking for proof off stay and room key, i don’t drink so I saw this as totally unacceptable, as I was not under the influence of anything or loud or disrespectful in the premises I treated him with respect throughout the entire encounter. Made me uncomfortable I sat at the bar for 5 mins before asking could my girlfriend leave with her drink to our room. Apart from that nighttime staff and morning staff were delightful and so was the front desk. The reservations team were absolutely brilliant arranging my room before I arrived.

Comfortable beds, Clean hotel Good entertainment Breakfast staff very helpful.

Receptionist when we arrived, had conversation about the €100 deposit, not explaining why I was paying it and still don't know. Also she mentioned that it was very popular in hotel's, I travel a lot and this is my first time paying it. Didn't like her tone at all... I felt very uncomfortable and felt I got a slap on the hand situation. Also staff need to explain when they give you a menu that they will not take your order if you sit in the bar section...had been waiting a while before I went looking for staff, just something to consider.

One of our party was a vegetarian and we felt that there could have been more options available. Could perhaps have had more tea/coffee/milk in the rooms but other than that it was a very good stay. Restaurant and Bar staff in particular were so nice

We bought tickets on the evening for the following day for tour bus but was just told it picked up from outside. Could have done with more info as we had to come back in after standing down by the road for a while. Person we spoke to then told us pick up was opposite side of the road by the bus stop. Thankfully the bus was running late or we'd have missed it

We had a problem with a blocked sink and shower and it was dealt with immediately. On Friday night staff did their best to accommodate us as a group when trying to talk in a noisy environment by moving sofas , tables to the area with least noise in the foyer.

On Friday night there was no quiet space to escape the noise of the music as every time the side door opened the music drowned the conversation but it was better that full exposure to the music and no conversation in side the bar area. As older visitors we recognised that we are more interested in chat.

I was told leave a $100:00 deposit Incase of room damage etc and then told someone will check the room on check out. When checking out the next morning, I had asked about someone checking my room so the money can deposited into my bank asap. Only to be told no, we will send someone to check out the room through the day and that it can take up to 5 days before it goes into your bank. I had explained what the receptionist had said the night proir. Only to find out I had been lied to. Plus it's been 6 days and no money placed in my account 🙃 disappointing 😑

Staff very pleasant and helpful, dinner on both nights excellent The room was spacious and clean, bed comfortable.

No bottled water in the room, had to ask for additional milk, only 2 sachets of coffee,no iron or ironing board. Also having to stand in a bath to have a shower is difficult and dangerous, especially for elderly people, hotel might consider getting walk in showers in some of the rooms for easier and safer access. At 75 years of age it is difficult getting in and out of a bath as one could lose their balance easily.
