Very clean spacious room suitable for a family of 5(kids ages 8,6,0). Our room did face the railway line so if you are a light sleeper request a different room as the trains start early. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. We had dinner one night in the Arkle bar and it was very very tasty. Although it is on the pricer side. The kids club was a bonus available for holiday periods and the children had so much fun and enjoyed the movie night. The family pool is big with clean with spacious changing rooms. Maynooth is a lovely friendly town to wander round with plenty of choice for cafes,bars annd restaurants. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the Glenroyal and would recommend for families.

Location of hotel was excellent, not too far from anywhere. it was great value for money the 12pm checkout was a welcome comfort. the family pool was really nice and well worth a visit. the room was very clean, staff were very helpful. the Shoda Cafe in the hotel is definitely worth a vist great selection of quality food and reasonable priced.

Car Park is always jammed and can be difficulty to find a parking space. the restaurant is way over priced 26 euro for a burger and 9 chips yes 9 chips stacked 3 by 3 by 3. just because you charge more does not mean that the food is worth the price. unfortunately the thermostat for the heating was not working in our room and the room was uncomfortable hot and made it difficuly to sleep. the staff were kind enough to locate a cooler

Reception staff on Friday morning were fabulous, 2 females unfortunately I do not recall their names, such helpful friendly staff who went out of their way to help us occupy our children in the storm especially with the leisure facilities being closed

Staff serving the food in the bar/restaurant not the most friendly and long waits for cocktails to be made. Unfortunately a bowl of cashews made me very anxious at breakfast I've never come across cashews at any hotel breakfast we have been to before, my daughter has an anaphylactic cashew and pistachio allergy, thankfully the girls serving breakfast were very helpful and able to get her fresh cereal from the kitchen, I just think this is something to consider in future given the high incidence of people with nut allergies to maybe have them on a separate section so there is less chance of cross contamination as I see people using the same spoons In different bowls

Front Desk Sarah was so accommodating and understanding. She really helped me out when I was left in a bad situation. Made my stay worthwhile thanks to her gesture. Adults only pool and leisure facilities was a big plus to able to relax in. Arkle Bar and Restaurant amazing food and staff. Lovely atmosphere, lighting, seats, noise was all perfect. Servers all so polite and attentive, had a lovely meal there. Free Parking Modern tv Ritual shower gel and soap in the bathroom The decor on the way to the leisure centre was really nice

Minor criticism but my room key stopped working twice within 1 hour, but I know those cards stop sometimes if they're near your wallet or phone

Check in was courteous, professional, and effortless. Ernest demonstrated absolute excellence in hospitality management - thank you. In a matter of moments he provided an overview of the range of services and reassurance that anything further was merely a call away. The lads in the bar were exceptional - both the attentive floor service and the chaps behind the bar! Standard of housekeeping was outstanding - with a really comfortable bed and amazing pillows! Bar Food Menu initially looked a little pricey. However, when the food arrived, it was well worth it! A very pleasant experience!

This hotel is absolutely perfect and we know that is mostly down to the excellent friendly staff. They all actively engaged with my son and chatted to him about plans for the day etc. The family pool is great and we didn’t use kids club but it’s excellent idea. The location is amazing with great restaurants near by and huge Tesco etc. It is a fantastic hotel and far superior to others I’ve stayed in similar area of outside dublin.

As a lot of other reviews mentioned the rooms are hotter than the sun which was very uncomfortable at night. We were given a fan which we requested but too loud for the evening to sleep.

Staff was fantastic, room was large (triple room) with very nice, spacious bathroom. Pool was great and we utilized it every day. Hotel in a prime location, as there are 3 restaurants on-site as well as a shopping centre (SuperValu) directly across the road. Walking distance to transit that can take you into Dublin. Free parking as a hotel guest. Also very close (walkable) to pubs and historic sites in Maynooth. Breakfast was delicious and has some great hot items (full Irish) plus continental with plenty of fruit.

No fault of staff, however, room was VERY hot and uncomfortable throughout the duration of our stay. We called down and staff was great to provide us with 2 fans and show how to open the windows (which were child locked. Room continued to feel overwhelmingly stuffy and hot in the night, preventing sleep. There was also no mini-fridge in the room... this would be a thoughtful addition to put into rooms... as guests could buy small food items from across the street (to save on restaurant costs), however, as of now, there is no way to keep anything chilled. Overall though, the staff was fantastic and the hotel is beautiful. Would consider a fall/winter stay if in the area again as I anticipate the temperatures in room might be better...

The room was comfortable, very spacious and with all the facilities you need. We had dinner in the hotel, which was enjoyed by all, and the breakfast was excellent - lots of choice. The leisure facilities were great - especially the separate pool/sauna/jacuzzi/steam room for adults only, away from the family pool. All staff were accommodating and friendly. Ample onsite parking.

The bed rooms could get very hot. There was a fan for use in the room but with a room so spacious this aspect may need revisiting. That was the only minor issue experienced during our stay.

very good value for money given accomodation prices in Ireland. Huge playground outside the hotel, kids club included, 2 huge pools, there's a lot to do. Rooms clean and very Big, friendly staff.

Like in many hotel unfortunately noise isolation is poor and we struggled to put the kids to sleep early because of the family Next to us Who was not on the same schedule. Also, it's a shame that TV IS always on in the kids club and that Jellys are given to the children. We didn't stay long for these reasons however it's really nice to.have a kids club included, we'd definitely use It if they changed these 2 things.

The check in process was great and fast which was good with small kids. The room was nice and clean and well presented. The bar and restaurant was lovely and for the most part all the food was excellent. The leisure and kids activities were also brilliant. Shoda is a real treat

Pillows not very comfortable. The room was like an oven. Heat off, windows open (as far as the system would allow) and no air-conditioning meant we all found it quite hard to sleep. The steak in the restaurant was cooked to perfection but was very heavily seasoned (pepper not salt) to the point that I didn't use my pepper sauce because I couldn't take that much pepper. The hot dishes at the breakfast were just warm, not hot.
