The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were reasonably spacious. The bathroom was clean and stocked with the standard toiletries you would expect in any hotel. There were coffee machines and biscuits in each room, which is a welcome sight. The team accommodated early access to our rooms, which was hugely appreciated as we were attending a wedding. The afternoon tea was a particular highlight, with our youngest guests very kindly catered to (colouring sheets and crayons were provided without us asking!) There was plenty of space for us all to sit together at breakfast, too. And the location of the hotel is ideal, really peaceful and scenic.

The rooms didn't have some of the basic items, like a box of tissues for example. And I would expect slightly fancier toiletries in a four-star spa hotel. The vegetarian options at breakfast were a bit limited, and several items ran out well before breakfast ended. (My sister had to ask a couple of times for mushrooms to be refreshed.) There were also flies all over the breakfast room. This is hard to avoid in an Irish heatwave, but it just really took away from the dining experience.

What a beautiful location, beautifully landscaped and sitting on the terrace having a drink as the sunsets was amazing. The room was huge and very reasonable. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this hotel and I imagine it would be a special place for a marriage ceremony. I spoke to the staff and management have big plans to introduce improvements, infinity pool for example. A very pleasant stay for us and we will definitely return. A hidden gem.

Took us a while to find the place, even with a sat nav which took us to dog kennels with the same name, perhaps better signage would help but I appreciate that it is lovely countryside and big signs may be frowned upon.

Absolutely a hidden Gem. We were looking for a place not to far from the airport and at a reasonable price. What a pleasant suprise. It was so nice we booked the following week before we left for home. Staff were all so friendly and accommodating. Both restaurant's as well as breakfast were great. Have to give a shout out to one of the Managers Kevin C. On our way we visited Trim castle and had an amazing tour. Also about 15 min away is a 5000 year old Hill of Tara, with a video and a tour of ancient burial grounds. So cool would never have found it if we didn't choose the Bellinter House. Itself amazing over 275 years old. Amazing charm and beautiful views. Will definitely be back.

Really friendly & helpful staff, beautiful & peaceful location, lovely food at both dinner and breakfast. Ground floor room as requested. Will stay again. Would have given 9.5 if it were available.

Check in/out and access to the restaurant would have been awkward if I had not felt able to manage the steps. For someone with reduced mobility, it was quite a distance to get to the restaurant by avoiding stairs. If staying longer than one night, we would have like a decaffinated option for the splendid coffee machine in the room, help with the TV as it was stuck on a streaming home page and for maintenance to loosen the very stiff shower adjusters (or adapt for greater accessibility).

Lovely place, Lovely staff. Great room. I was struggling with illness and the staff were very kind. I got a room where there were not many steps. The location is truly lovely. Managed to use the open air hot tub which was nice. Did not book any treatments but it all looked great. I was very happy with my short stay. I had to rebook as I was ill when I was due to stay and the staff were lovely and catered for my needs. It is such a lovely place and staff are great and very kind.

it was very busy at breakfast. I think a lot of people came down at the same time, so I recall waiting but the staff are great and they sorted me out. The breakfast was excellent.

Beautiful building, amazing interior, very friendly staff, our room was huge, huge bed. Great view of the garden. Quite location. Food was fantastic. The outdoor dinning area was very welcoming. Surprised the hotel is only a 4 star, should be 5 star. Your right beside Navan town and the hill of Tara.

the light switch situation in the room was very confusing. Eg. 21 buttons althougher with 3 panels on the wall controlling all the lights in the room. a simple on and off switch would be better, The top off the wardrobe hasn't been cleaned in about 10 years. Everything was perfect

It‘s a tricky thing to tell. At Bellinter it seems like „not everything adds up“. The house, the garden, the spa, the restaurant, the rooms, the furniture, the ambiance - it‘s all just lovely and beautiful.. There‘s something particular and extravagant to it, distinguished really. Congratulations! The food was great, super delicious. I want to emphasize that all staff at the restaurant and in the guests rooms has been considerate and polite. But at the same time the younger receptionists act differently. They don‘t really seem to like their work. I perceived them as snappy towards guests and I personally didn‘t feel well. To me they don‘t really fit the ambitious concept of Bellinter House. Same with some guests, who showed up in beach shorts & shirts in the restaurant. Simply a mismatch in such a beautiful house. Finally: the flies. No idea how to get rid of them inside, but yes, unfortunately they too clouded the overall impression. What I want to express here: I truly loved what Bellinter offers, its beauty in nature, the old building and new colourful interieur, the food, the breakfast, the accomodations and amenities. I loved the enchanting impression that comes along with all of it, but what does Bellinter want to be eventually? Extravagant or average? I concede, I may be the only guest thinking about it.

We had a truly beautiful 2-day, 1-night stay. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with the highest level of hospitality I’ve ever experienced. Every detail—from the room to the decoration and the food—was so thoughtfully considered. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful, and we felt genuinely well cared for throughout our stay. The standard of service here is unmatched in the country, and the experience offers excellent value for the price. It even seems like the staff genuinely enjoy working here, which adds to the welcoming atmosphere. A special mention goes to Darren, who stood out among the wonderful staff. He’s exceptionally knowledgeable about the property’s rich history dating back to the 1700s and shares it with such passion that you can tell he truly loves what he does. I highly recommend this place and look forward to returning many times in the future.

The place has had a nice little face-lift since we last stayed and looked stunning! The building and surrounding areas are so beautiful and romantic which makes the hotel stay experience special. Staff were friendly at reception. The room was perfect for us. Most comfortable bed and pillows ever. Quiet and spacious. We wanted a more relaxed dinner and ate in the drawing room and it had a lovely vibe. Can't remember the name of the soup of the day I had but it was incredible and wings were tasty. Great selection of drinks at the bar. Sauna, hot tub and steam room were lovely to use. We went twice !! Would like to try the spa properly next time aswell as the new restaurant. Overall we had a great stay and will definitely be back!

Hot tub was a bit cold the first night. Don't know where people got robes for the spa area as we didn't have them in our room but saw them in the changing rooms piled up to wash. I assume you ask for them at reception but we weren't aware of this on arrival. Don't think you can order room service to the room which we would have used if it was available. Breakfast was more less greasy standard Irish or cereal/brown bread/fruit and i got pancakes last time I was in so I was disappointed with lack of selection in the morning Only basic tea/coffee available no flavoured lattes, cappuccino etc. As the breakfast came with our stay it was decent but I would've paid more if more options were available!
