This is a absolute gem of a place, the grounds are amazing. The house is beautiful and well decorated, our room was absolutely spotless as was the ensuite, the breakfast was outstanding, plenty of selections of cereals pastries, fresh fruit meats and cheese, and a very hearty full Irish. The real star of the plantation lodge is the owners Kathleen and Emmet so welcoming and friendly. Kathleen was so helpful with local knowledge and taxis and lifts and our chef .I can not recommend the plantation lodge enough . It ideally located close to cabra castle

Perfect location for wedding at Cabra Castle.Very pleasant hostess available whenever needed .

Booked with breakfast included. Only continental breakfast ,very good, .Fried breakfast offered but charged at 10euro extra.The room we booked was a single large bed, the room we stayed in had 2 double beds and a single bed..More of a family room .No tea facilities in room there was in shared breakfast area.

The host Kathleen is so friendly, very welcoming and helpful. There's everything you need. In the dining room you can make tea and coffee anytime. There's a microwave so if you brought food with you, you could heat it. There was an iron and ironing board in the hall. Plenty of hangers in the wardrobe. Spotlessly clean. Plenty of parking. It's like home away from home. I didn't realise before booking that breakfast is continental style but it didn't matter to me as there was plenty to eat.

The bed was so comfortable, the shower was great. Kathleen and her family are so lovely. Honestly, like a home from home offering lifts to cabra castle for a wedding and sorting us out with taxi numbers to get back. We didnt manage breakfast we had to go get kids picked up but tea and coffee were still on offer and a load of fresh fruit on the side to take for the journey if we wanted it. Honeslty such nice people

We attended a wedding in cabra Castle which was 3 minutes drive away. Kathleen was very welcoming .the room was clean warm and comfortable . The price included a continental breakfast which was lovely plenty of choices of fruit, cereal, bread ,pastries and yogurt .a cooked breakfast was available for an extra 10 euro . We would definitely stay there again if we were in the area

Everything was perfect

Was a perfect place to stay for the night. We had a wedding at Cabra Castle. Kathleen was kind enough to drop us off, and was able to provide a number for a taxi to get us back. The room was incredibly comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. Kathleen's breakfast the next day was brilliant too.

Absolutely nothing

Stayed here for a wedding i attended at cabra castle, the b&b is 2 minute drive from the wedding venue so ideal location. The lady who owns this place was lovely very nice and friendly. Room was big, clean, beds comfy and a real cosy home vibe. Nice continental breakfast ready for us the next morning all very good value for money. Would recommend and return.

We booked the Plantation lodge for one nights stay as we were attending a wedding at Cabra castle. The BnB was only a 2-3min drive from the castle so this was a bonus when checking in between the ceremony and dinner, as well as when we got back at 3am! Checking in and out was simple and the friendliness we received from the owners was so lovely

From we arrived until we left and afterwards as I left 2 things behind and Kathleen owner couldn’t have been more helpful. Would highly recommend this Venue. Friendly clean comfortable and everything would expect at an Irish B/B ✔️☘️🌟🌟

Absolute nothing

Excellent location for Cabra Castle venue near by. Nice clean rooms and bathroom facilities. Breakfast was very good and filling. Plenty of choices. Fully Irish would be extra but really not necessary. Lady in charge was very nice and helpful.
