I'm delighted I booked this lovely B&B while I was travelling through Cavan. Rosemary is the warmest lady I have come across - a very genuine person - and I was made to feel at home instantly. My room had a fabulous view from it. The bed was comfortable and the shower was fantastic. The location was very quiet. It was a quick spin to Bailieborough for dinner and I was able to get a takeaway and have it in the dining room and help myself to coffee. Breakfast was fabulous!! I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone. Thank you so much Rosemary for making my stay so pleasant.

When we arrived Rosemary asked us if we would like some tea. We were surprised that it was not just tea, but a plate full of fresh baked scones & cookies! Very welcome after a day of navigating Irish roads. The breakfast was delicious and served promptly once we sat down and always with a smile! So much too choose from (cereals, yogurts, fresh fruits) my friend requested a poached egg instead of fried egg and there was no hesitation from the hostess to honor that request. Fresh baked goods- scones, breads, & pancakes. We did not leave hungry and it fueled us up for a day of travel and adventure. We asked Rosemary for suggestions of places to visit nearby and she readily offered up two fantastic choices, Loughcrew Carins & Tullynally Castle. We were not able to tour inside the castle (limited days for tours) but the garden was excellent.
Unfortunately, one evening the internet was not available which the hostess said happens from time to time. We did not want to make an International call to inquire why and would have liked another way to reach her during the evening hours. We were on the top floor and it was warm in the room. We wanted to open the window but flies kept coming in the room so we didn't open it as wide as we would have liked. The beds had firm mattresses, which was only minor discomfort for one of our party. Duvets and pillows were cozy. Suggested places to dine nearby that are available in the common area would be a nice addition for travelers.

reasonable price, scenic location, beds good, instant hot shower with clear controls very good, ample breakfast. The horses out back were interesting to watch and there were no objectionable odors.
Our room was a little cramped for two adults. Only one suitcase rack and not enough floor space to put a second open suitcase. It was unclear what door was the entry to the B&B and where to park. A couple of signs would be helpful.

Breakfast was delicious. Rosemary always has coffee, tea and toast available with biscuits or scones when we were around during the day. It's not possible to go hungry 😊 We were very well taken care of! The views across the fields with beautiful horses and a greeting from the dogs made us feel right at home. Virginia is a short drive to restaurants for dinner

The location is very good. The B&B is nestled in rolling hills with an excellent view of the countryside. When I opened the curtains in the morning there were horses running about. The location is between two fairly large towns, Virginia and Bailieborough. It's easy to gain access to the N3 a major road. Breakfast was great. Rosemary, the host, was more than happy to accommodate my gluten, and dairy free diet and made me excellent Irish oatmeal.

Food was excellent. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast with plenty of cereals, toast /breads and cakes and of course tea. Lovely warm welcome, felt at home straight away. Bed, room and en-suite all clean, warm and very comfortable. The house is truly a credit to Rosemary. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
I would not change anything.

Lovely B&B by Bailieborough. Rosemary, her husband and son are the loveliest people and are incredibly helpful. Rooms are extremely comfortable and there is everything you could need during your stay. The breakfast is also excellent! Couldn’t have had a better experience.

This is a wonderful place and Rosemary is a wonderful lady. From the tea and cakes I was given on my (late) arrival, via the amazing full Irish Breakfast to not being pushed to checkout and being given time to have a shower and more tea and cakes! (I had been running). I would wholeheartedly recommend this B&B to everyone
That I only spent one night

Great location. The warmest of welcomes. Lovely rooms and home cooking too. It feels less like you’re staying at a strangers home and more like you’re staying with family. You know that whole “help yourself, take anything you need” vibe.
There’s nothing to dislike from my perspective.

Location was perfect for family wedding we were attending in the area. Facilities were spotlessly clean and beds very comfortable. Lovely lounge to relax in too. Rosemary answered lots of questions I had messaged her with and was very helpful in recommending somewhere for dinner in the area. Breakfast was delicious and nothing was too much trouble for our host. Views were beautiful, especially when your bedroom window allows you to watch a gorgeous white horse running in the fields beside the house.
