Check in was quick and the staff there were fantastic. Service during dinner was 5 star young Jacob is fantastic staff like him are rare to find he’s a natural. Enjoyed our picnic beside the lake.

Housekeeping perhaps need to pay more attention I explained to a manager the windows in the room were covered in cobwebs and when you open the window there was cigarettes. They sent housekeeping up to sort this out unfortunately all they managed to do was choke the room out with air freshener and still left the cobwebs and cigarettes. Waiting staff and bar staff for the bar in the lobby perhaps need further training my partner stood being ignored at the bar and ended up walking away after a young blonde staff member looked at him lifted her notepad and walked straight past him for someone else. Eventually got served when I got her attention. Would have sat and had a few drinks if this hadn’t of happened instead 2 glasses and we returned to our room

Beautiful rooms very spacious.

The bar area. The cellar was ok but very small and we had to sit in the back room so couldn’t watch the entertainment. Again same with the lobby bar there was nowhere to sit and again we couldn’t watch the entertainment there. Needs a much bigger bar area. Also asked a waitress for a pair of scissors to remove a tag and she replied no, a pair of scissors are the last of my worries! Little bit rude. Also we were there Fri sat and sun and at the side of the ice machine in the spa was a hygiene sticker out of a swimsuit. It was there the whole three days so obviously that area doesn’t get cleaned daily.

Mattress was very comfortable. The whole ambiance was lovely. Gorgeous spa facilities and lovely massages. Staff all very friendly and accommodating. The food in both restaurants was fabulous also.

I have stayed here three or four times before and this time the pool was the coldest it’s ever been. So disappointed with this. Previously the lovely warm outdoor pool is why I have kept coming back. Every guest was grimacing with the cold getting in. A degree warmer would’ve made all the difference. Unfortunately can’t recommend the hotel on the pool experience because of this. But everything else was lovely.

Magnificent grounds with a courtesy bus to shuffle guests to and from the car park to the hotel. The spa was excellent and the outdoor pool was wonderful. The bar staff were so nice and friendly and I have never tasted gluten free fish and chips like the one we had at Farnham! The meal and breakfast were exceptional. Lots of foods on offer for breakfast with lots of space in the large dining room. There was a gluten free area for toasting bread which had lots of signage warning about not cooking normal bread here. Gluten free treats were available too. The bed was very comfortable and our standard twin room was very spacious and modern with a lovely view.

It was uncomfortably warm when checking in! The rest of the hotel was cooler and more comfortable though. Our room was clean but under the desk area there was splashes of tea on the wall and skirting and the edge of the carpet was a bit grubby and really could have had a little more attention paid to it.

Everything was amazing except Afternoon tea.

Afternoon tea, I have been a few times in the past. It used to be in the lovely front old part of hotel. Was beautiful. It has now moved to a room in the back of the hotel, which was freezing, the tables are so close to each other and the seats face other tables. We could hear everything that everyone was saying so we had to be very quiet. I mean whisper. Only a window at one or 2 tables. We got no window. Bright artificial lighting. Zero cozy-ness . Our seats were curved bench facing another table with a couple. And we were all just awkwardly facing each other. Will not be booking afternoon tea anymore. What a shame for an almost perfect hotel! The staff though... Unbelievably kind and friendly. Food amazing. Just the venue. Needs to be changed.

We loved all off it this was our second time staying and everything is always fantastic.

Maybe yous could look into having a bank machine it would be handy if someone needed a few pounds plus save people going into Cavan Town only other thing that we thought when we were walking up to our room some guests had lots off bottles of drink and glasses sitting outside there doors I know some may bring a bottle of drink to there room to have class or two before they go for dinner I think they should keep there bottles and glasses in there room as it makes the place messy and it’s such a beautiful place.

All clean and facilities were great. Really enjoyed the indoor/ outdoor pool

Arrived at 4pm as we were informed this was our check in time. We were told room wasn't quite ready. As a token we were offered a voucher to get a drink at the bar while waiting. Ordered two drinks for myself and my wife and gave the voucher to the barman. Embarrassingly, barman said voucher was for one drink only and I would have to pay for the other. There were two of inconvenienced by your hotel delay. Better that you didn't offer a voucher at all, rather than have me embarrassed in front of other customers, with a single drink voucher.

The food in Maxwells was lovely as was our lovely waiter👍The pool area and sauna/steam room as always was great, relaxing stay. Our room was spacious and very clean.

The cocktails- my 10 year old could have made them better and at 15 euro each I would think about training your staff in cocktail making, did not have the most comfortable sleep either as there was a gap in the middle of the bed. Visiting this hotel for many years now I feel that prices could be better and that you could be getting more value for your money eg. packages that include treatments/dinner.

We had a fantastic stay to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary. There was a bottle of prosecco with a lovely card in our room on arrival. Such a lovely thoughtful gesture. The staff were all so helpful and friendly: nothing was any bother, from the staff at reception, Maxwells, the spa etc. We could not have asked for anything more to celebrate our Anniversary: even the weather was beautiful! Thanks to the staff in Maxwells for our lovely dessert!.Not forgetting George for the guided tour from the carpark! We'll definitely be back. Thanks so much to you all.

Nothing, everything was great

We booked a standard double, I was expecting basic amenities but the Farnham room has everything we wanted in a really luxe way such as pull out tv, Juliet window balcony seems to be standard in rooms, lovely bath and shower and general high quality fittings throughout. It didn’t feel like a basic room, bed was spectacular- firm but lovely and soft on top. The lobby smelt amazing and had lovely relaxing music playing, we instantly felt like we were on holiday. Then for two of the most wonderful ladies that made our trip even better - Mary who served us two mornings at breakfast - possibly the warmest personality I’ve met in a long time. What an asset to your team to have someone who can make strangers feel like friends. She looked after us so well!! Then to the lovely Dovile who ensured our evening meal was perfect in every way.

The only disappointment was that there were no spaces for treatments reserved for guests unfortunately. It was noted in the pre arrival message to book well in advance of our stay however with our travel plan it was unfortunately not a possibility until we landed there. Also a jacuzzi or set of jacuzzis would be incredible to top off the facilities.
