I liked its location, easy to find and close to our venue. It was cosy and the beds very comfy. It was great to have access to a kitchenette to make a cuppa whenever we wanted. Not always the way in a B&B. Parking facilities very secure. The roses in the garden looked very well.

Speaking of the roses, the lawns could do with a bit of TLC. The host was very friendly but a bit over familiar. While he was jokey, it was a bit overdone. But he was very welcoming and I wouldn’t mind going back there- even if it was to teach him a bit of ‘manners’🤣🤣🤣. Breakfast was included in the price ( it would have wanted to be at €70 pp and one room) but I’d have preferred if I’d been asked what I wanted to eat instead of a big fry being placed in front of me that I didn’t want. However, he redeemed himself by taking it away and offered me an alternative which I happily accepted and it was good.

Patrick is a fantastic host we hit it off with him from the word go.... refreshing to have a host who has time to have banter with you, a true Irish character to have the craic with :) Would revisit just to annoy (LOL) Patrick..... Location is spot on, close to town and Rock of Cashel. The room and facilities were more than expected, had access to a kitchen and a lounge if needed. Breakfast was great, more than ample and offered more if required. All in all one of the best traditional B&B's we've stayed in, shame we weren't there for longer. Alan & Lorraine

The property is located near the Rock of Cashel so an easy walk to look at the Castle. It is also very close to the main area, for meals. There was a small off licence located within walking distance. The owner of the property Patrick was very helpful with information. Breakfast was in the main house and a hot breakfast was provided, plus a choice of cereals, juice, yoghurt and fruit. We had access to a full kitchen, as we stayed in the Stables area of the property.

We did not have a tv in our room, which was a first in our experience. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi was not working in our room but was available at breakfast in the main house.

Patrick was an incredible host and very friendly/open. Any questions or concerns were addressed and he also provided information on the city and Rock of Cashel. Hotel location and rooms were worth the price alone. The breakfast and hospitality made it even more worthwhile. 2-3 minute walk to Rock of Cashel from hotel. Navigating to the hotel within Cashel is also quite accessible (first time rental car driver in Ireland). Parking included and dietary preferences for breakfast were available (i.e. vegetarian options).

If you're going to Cashel mainly to visit the Rock of Cashel (which is well deserving of a visit!), Rockville House is very conveniently located. Our room had an excellent view of the Rock, which is impressive, and quite beautiful, including when illuminated at night.

Nothing much to add. We did have an issue checking in, because the owner was in the back fixing the plumbing with a jack-hammer, so couldn't hear us "buzzing" to get let in, even though we were expected in that time frame. Probably just a one-time odd situation, and otherwise our host was quite friendly, with a good sense of humor.

Everything was fabulous! The beds were comfortable, the facility was clean, the staff is unbelievably friendly. The breakfast in the morning was lovely, Patrick was incredibly thoughtful regarding preferences and dietary restrictions and the parking is so convenient! We also loved the location, Cashel is incredibly walkable, but Rockville House is a great home base, you look right up onto The Rock of Cashel and it's stunning!

Nothing! We were thrilled with our stay, wouldn't change a thing!

The host was the best host we have had. He was joking around with us whilst also looking after us attentively. He upgraded our room for free and even let us use his private living room to shelter from the rain. We were also able to leave our car there after we checked out in order to do sightseeing. The view of the Rock of Cashel was also incredible. Good nights sleep.

There wasn't a kettle in the room but I also know we could have asked for one and that wouldn't have been an issue.

Great location, just a few minutes walk to both the Rock and to town, but in a quiet location. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Patrick’s sense of humour might not translate too well to those for whom English is not their first language but we appreciated it. Room was comfortable and clean and our hostess went out of her way to meet our needs.

Patrick is a hoot! His welcome, his humour and his warmth were all welcome bonuses after a long day’s drive from Holyhead. The location for the sites and facilities of Cashel is excellent, while having a car park so close to the centre is very helpful. We thought the accommodation competitively-priced for what it was.

The B&B is rather old-fashioned in its ambience. Breakfast is also old-fashioned, the sole nod to modernity being the addition of muesli to the cereal offering! B&B breakfasts have moved on in range and offering. Having said that, the fried breakfast was excellent. In his welcome, Patrick forgot to mention the availability of tea and coffee at other times in the dining room, or where breakfast was served, so make sure you ask! Having said all this, if ever in Cashel again, we would return!

Our host was great and has a fun sense of humor. The room and bathroom were clean and attention to detail were superb. You can see the Rock of Cashel from the premises and it's about a 5 minute walk to the site. There are a fair amount of dining and drinking options within 5 minutes as well. Cashel is super cute and the people are very nice. We had a tasty and affordable lunch at Davern's Bar and drinks at TJ Ryan Traditional Pub later that night. Both were great. We had an excellent full Irish breakfast the next morning, paid for our room, and were on our way.
