Nice location in Clonmel, quiet hotel for a week-end, good size but not too big . Our room had a balcony with view on the river. Friendly staff with good facilities and nice leisure centre. Good food in the restaurant.

We could not really enjoy the leisure centre and a relaxing experience as too many kids with no supervision (from the parents and from the staff) they were jumping in the pool, going to the sauna, steam room, jacuzzy. Not pleasant and the spa was a rason for the choice of this hotel. On top of that the lifts were not working so long walk and had to carry our luggages to the 2nd floor.

thought there could of been some complementary water in hotel room. lift wasn’t working almost got stuck. for the price I paid for one night I thought breakfast would of been included as one night was almost €200.

The location on the river and the elegant bar/ restaurant/ reception areas are a real plus. The decoration and racing related memorabilia in the hotel and grounds make for a unique experience. We were made to feel welcome on arrival and offered tea and cake. A member of staff politely guided us to our room and helped us to settle in. Excellent breakfast service. Large rooms with river views. Proximity to areas of scenic beauty. We availed of the offer of free tickets to the Clonmel Racecourse and spent a pleasant at this very scenic racetrack.

We liked everything - a lovely Irish country house hotel set in beautiful gardens by the river. We felt very lucky to have discovered this hotel and would have liked to stay longer than the 8 days we had.

Everything was perfect!

The room was a king and it was very nice and spacious with excellent ensuite but breakfast was not included - however we did eat in the restaurant and the food was excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive and we enjoyed complimentary tea and coffee on arrival. The hotel has a fabulous setting on the river and the hotel itself is spotless.

It was our first return visit on our 35th anniversary since our honeymoon in 1987 - the hotel knew this but did not even acknowledge the importance of the occasion to us - a little disappointing.

Staff were excellent. So kind and friendly. We were late for breakfast, and there was still no problem getting us breakfast. The rooms were spotless. It was very quiet at night with little to no noise. We really enjoyed our stay.

Staff were lovely and so was the food in the bar. Rooms are dated but are big and comfortable. Grounds are lovely.

The dated room especially the bathroom. It is expensive compared with other options in the area

Breakfast was excellent. Leisure facility was excellent. Room was excellent.

WE had dinner on arrival and it was appalling. It ruined our stay. Both of us had to return our main courses. We were refunded the price of one meal but we felt we should have been dealt with much better than that.. This was such a pity as everything else was so good. We felt the chef should have known not to send out two poor meals.

The breakfast was delicious with a great variety especially in non dairy and other special dietary requirement foods. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful and everything was very clean. I received a fantastic upgrade to a beautiful suite with a huge comfy bed and a jacuzzi bath in the bathroom.. Pure bliss. The room service was really lovely with extra touches that I had not ordered such as fruit cake with my tea and French fries with my toasted sandwich. Totally unexpected and really lovely. The leisure centre is really top notch with magnificent views of the River Suir to be seen from the pool and gym as well as the hotel itself. I highly recommend a stay in Hotel Minella and commend the owners, John and Elizabeth Nallen on their excellent hotel.

Everything was excellent

Very quiet and enjoyable Place to take a Rest or looks for the nature. Personal is nice and helpfully.

The way to arrive is very small and in the night not easy to found
