Staff were excellent, and that counts for everything. Evening meal was very good. Breakfast was excellent. The comfort of the room was more than we would expect for a 2 star status.

There was an odour in the bathroom, not quite sure where it was coming from. (Renovations in progress?) As far as I know it wasn't possible to phone direct to another room. Dining room staff may need training on the difference between vegetarian & vegan. This issue is not unique to Mulcahys. Generally speaking I have noticed that restaurants in Northern Ireland are offering more vegan options than restaurants in Republic of Ireland. This is surprising as the tourist industry in NI is much smaller than RoI.

Lovely room, though bit noisy in morning as overlooking Gladstone Street (I have stayed previously - in room at the back of hotel, which was much quieter). If you are a light sleeper (like me!) - ask for room at the back of hotel. Really comfortable bed and great shower. The TV wasn't working, but I didn't have much time to watch and forgot to mention to staff. Really good breakfast with nice selection, good coffee..! Will definitely stay again (-:

The receptionist was very charming and welcoming Hotel was oldfashing look but the rooms seemed recently freshened up. Along with the current renovations, this is a good hotel with a practical pub and restaurant attached.

Breakfast was a bit late for my tastes, 8h. The parking lot was not maintained at all. My last day, I left very early; as there is not a 24h receptionist, I had nowhere official to return my key. I just slid it under the dinner door...

We love coming here but I feel 240 for two night was a little steep for just a room. I rhink for that price ithat should have included breakfast on the sun morning for that price. It will not stop us from going there again but it could be a suggestion for Mulcahys to look at. Great choice in menus and they have the most fantastic carvery. Very friendly atmosphere and the bedrooms are very clean.

I found the ladies toilets in the bar were not clean at all. There is a staganent smell in them and the few times whilst I used the toilets when i was having few drinks in the bar both night the toilets were not clean at all. There was no hand santizer in the santizers on the walls.

The room was comfortable and clean.

So few pillows on the bed. Normally on a double bed in hotel rooms there are four. Staff didn't appear knowledgeable about breakfast time. I assumed from this site it started at 8am but I would have been late for my appointment. Yet when I went to return the key, there were a number of people in situ eating. If I had known breakfast could have been earlier, I would have eaten.

Great central location in the centre of Clonmel. We were warmly greeted on arrival. Our room was large, with a spacious bathroom, and very comfy bed. Everything was clean, tidy and well maintained. Air conditioning allowed us to easily control the temperature in the room.

Towels weren’t replaced daily, which is not a big deal but they didn’t dry very well hanging in the bathroom.

Room was small and up several stairs but appeared very clean and quiet despite being in busy downtown area. Shower was great and restaurant food was lovely. Staff was very friendly and very accommodating. Also a beautiful bar area.

The bathroom sink was missing the drain plug and we couldn’t open it. Had to use shower water to keep from filling up the sink which we couldn’t drain. Parking was a walk down a side street inside a large gated area that was very difficult to find at first. There was no other parking anywhere near the inn. This made it difficult hauling luggage and a bit worrisome with our car being so far away.

The hotel is dead smack in the centre of Clonmel Town. There is a car parking yard a few minutes walk away. I had the vegetarian breakfast which was amazing. Cost not included C€15 There was a warm welcome and everyone was very friendly

This is a quaint old style hotel that is what it is. It is basic, clean, functional and comfortable but staying more than one night in such a small compact room could be too much. It is also expensive for what is on offer. (€140 August 2023) Breakfast was busy and the good humoured efficient waitress was on her own but doing her best to keep up.

Central location and got parking in the yard out the back, Guinness and food were good

Waking up the third morning and having no water in the bathroom, we couldn't get any info from staff downstairs, was it just our room or everyone's room or the hotel or the town? They were still somehow providing breakfast from the kitchen!? We packed up and left

It was perfect for what we needed - No issues at all. The place was accessible and clean and the food was lovely. I'd definitely recommend.

If I could pick 1 thing (which is nothing really) - It was the fact that my steak sandwich didn't come with the peppered sauce. By the time it came out, my sandwich was finished.
