The porridge with honey The swimming pool

I have stayed here several times now and the brown bread is always dry and somewhat hard so much so that I brought my own this time - The coffee is okay but could be a better quality. It would be lovely if there was a Nespresso machine available I was so sorry not to have a chance to visit the gift shop - it would be great if it opened early say 8.30 a.m. on at least one morning or stayed open later i.e. 7 p.m. on at least one or two evenings I would be so delighted if there were electric car charging facilities available

Public areas were comfortable, warm and mostly clean. Bedroom was spacious, clean, warm and quiet. The Elemis products in the bathroom are a nice touch. The corridors were very clean and had a wonderful smell, spotless carpets etc. Really well decorated throughout. The pool etc is a great area and we enjoyed using it. The food and drink was excellent!! Could not fault anything in the restaurant or bar. Staff very attentive and friendly.

Public areas weren’t cleaned quickly, tables could sit with dirty glasses etc on them for hours and cushions on the settees were left untidy after guests had vacated the area. It gave a really poor impression of the hotel as the staff were actually very friendly and attentive but I felt there was a lack of management on the floor.

Breakfast was fabulous, buffet style, Hot food - smaller serving dishes so food was alway fresh, hot and appealing, Good choice of fresh fruit, pastries and cereals. Gluten free options available. The juice was freshly squeezed, delicious. We ate in the bar on our first night, it was so good we didn’t eat anywhere else! All meals were delicious and the staff were always friendly and helpful. If you are resident you can book to eat in the restaurant.

The leisure facilities are looking a little tired in places, but it was clean and well maintained and would not deter from using the facilities.

We spent two nights here while researching our Irish heritage. The facility is well maintained, rooms were clean and spacious, staff were very friendly and accommodating. They had a well equipped fitness center with several treadmills, elliptical, rowing machine, stationary bikes, weight machines and free weights. Offered spinning classes, a spacious pool with spa, hair salon and restaurants. They offer a food bar throughout the day, a pub restaurant and a more formal dining option, but only on weekends. Breakfast was a full on Irish presentation with plenty of options. Lovely stay.

Room was very spacious and clean. Water pressure was AMAZING, I could have stayed in that shower for ages! Lovely hand soap and shower gel (that did need refilling though) in the bathroom. Lovely bar and restaurant area, I was travelling alone for work, and they found me a quiet spot to eat. Food was fresh, tasty and good value for a hotel like this.

The bed was a bit uncomfortable, but I do like a firm mattress so that is probably on me. I could only get BBC1 and BBC 2 on the TV.

Excellent variety available for breakfast. Nicely presented and available from early in the morning. Opted for the Bar/Restaurant for Dinner as we weren't too sure what time we would be eating. It was extremely busy but there was only a short delay in getting a table. The staff seemed very under pressure, this resulted in different people dealing with our order, then no one delivered the full service of each course. Standard of food good.

Appreciate that the Restaurant was very busy and staff were slotting in where needed. It would have been a more pleasant and enjoyable eating experience if staff had been allocated to certain tables and they dealt with the complete service of orders for those customers.

Arrived very late, at approx 1:15am and was checked in by a lovely night porter who was super helpful. I was given a huge room with a great bath and shower and a very comfortable bed. The public facilities in the hotel were more like a home than a hotel and I can't say I've seen anything like it before in Ireland. Well considered and comfortable. All areas were super clean and when I was checking out, I observed another guest saying to the concierge that the staff were excellent during his stay.I mirrored his sentiments. It does seem like there is attention to detail here that is sadly lacking in many other hotels in Ireland. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh ingredients. I will definitely return here on my next trip.

Some noise very early in the morning in the celing, I think it was pipes banging that went on for a couple of hours.

Facilities, Cleanliness and staff.

Breakfast was very disorganised but staff was pleasant and food was good. As it is a very busy hotel I think they could do with a booking system for breakfast and for dinner. Particularly for residents. Residents were queuing for 15 mins or more to get a table because everyone landed together. Nobody was in charge of taking your order for tea or coffee once seated for breakfast. Most diners including myself had to try catch the attention of someone to order tea or coffee. One more suggestion. Smaller tables that can be pushed together or separated would be helpful to seat more. Some tables that had capacity to seat 6 guests, only had two people sitting at them. A booking system would help with this plan also.

Perfectly situated right in between Thurles and Cashel, a perfect spot to use as a base for visiting other areas. We absolutely loved it - especially since my mom and girlfriend both love horses! lol Dad and I enjoyed the food the most! spectacular service and scrumptious food!! all made from scratch and perfectly done too!!! amenities were great and staff was very very helpful! I'd be back in a gallop ! lol

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was very busy while we were there but plenty of staff on hand and quick service in bar and dining room. The food is excellent, particularly in the bar, and very good value. Lovely big pool with good size jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. There is a gorgeous gift shop on site with a great selection of toys, jewelry, china, woollen wraps etc., so we even managed to do some Christmas shopping without leaving the hotel. Very accessible off the motorway so it only took us 2 hours from Dublin on a Friday. Great live music in the bar and fantastic atmosphere. Cosy decor throughout and a few fires lit to help you relax over a glass of wine.

The pool was a bit on the cold side as was the jacuzzi. Would have been perfect if a little warmer. Our room smelled a bit musty if we had the window closed while we were out but it was spotless and comfortable. The shower was poorly positioned so that it sprayed water all over the floor and over the wall mounted shampoo dispenser so that it was impossible not to lose most of the product before you could use it. We also suspected that the shampoo had been watered down but hard to tell when it is all heading down the drain! These were minor things and we had a great stay. If these were fixed it would have rated 9
