Myself and my fiancé stayed in this hotel for 2 nights this week and found our stay so enjoyable and relaxing. Special mention to Emily & Kerri(reception), Trish & Louise(Restaurant) and Gloria(Beauty Spa). All of these staff members added to our positive experience. We will definitely come back again.

There was work being done in the hotel so there was constant banging for a lot of the day. This wouldn't deter us from coming back as hopefully it will be completed by the time we do decide to book a stay here again.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Great national Ballykisteen golf and spa hotel. From my check in to check out I was treated with the utmost professionalism. I would like to congratulate all the staff and management for their keen attention to detail. The thermal suite and pool facilities were exceptional. The dining experience had a wide variety of choices available to suit all tastes. I would highly recommend the Ballykisteen hotel and I would like to thank everyone for the kindness they showed towards me. I will certainly return again in the future. Kind regards Brid.

I didn't have any dislikes. Everything was exceptional.

Exceptional Staff, very good location, very good choice for breakfast including tasty espresso and a hot counter, pool & spa fascilities, bar with tasty casual food, quick check in/out, vending machine on the corridor, spacious rooms and free parking, really good value for money. Overall very good experience & would recommend

Rooms could be soundproof (you could hear a lot of noise from outside and neighbouring rooms), TV could be wall mounted and with Netflix or better channel selection, there could be additional chair in the room (only 1 provided with the table) and mini bar could be provided (fridge was empty).

The property was in a good location and easily accessible, The room was overlooking the golf course which was nice, and a good size with a bath/shower and provided complementary toiletries, The staff from check in to check out were very friendly and always helpful, The breakfast was very good also with a buffet style cold food selection and you can also pick hot food served by a member of staff plus you can order hot food from a small selection cooked to order, The only problem I have seen with this hotel was that breakfast and dinner in the bar could be very slow at times even though there was plenty of staff to deal with customers requesting food and drinks, I would definitely recommend and will stay in this hotel again.

Slow service at breakfast and dinner.

The staff were amazingly helpful in ensuring we had everything we needed when we had to make an impromptu stay in Tipperary due to the sudden snowfall. The hotel was a wonderful place to be stranded - we had a delicious carvery before enjoying the pool and spa. The room was immaculate with extremely comfortable beds. We had a wonderful breakfast too. Special thanks to the maintenance team who helped us get out of the car park in all the snow and even cut a safe path all the way to my car with a shovel so that my pregnant sister would get there safely - we are very grateful for incredible service that went above and beyond and look forward to staying again!

Gym staff were very helpful and friendly. Billy organised a packed lunch for our party, and it was all very nice. I liked the bedroom, it was spacious and very clean. The breakfast was nice and a very good selection.

The swimming pool was full of screaming kids and adults sitting around the area. It was not enjoyable at all. Although I do understand that classes are a benefit to people living locally. The Jacuzzi was not hot enough - and impossible to enjoy it with all the screaming - specially from the swim instructor.- Does she have to shout quite so much? It is very strange that hot water can't be obtained from the machine to make tea. It was ok as we got tea pots with hot water.

evening food was good the morning staff were a bit slow taking our order and on the last morning the staff were more into talking to each other than take orders so we decided to leave with out drinks for breakfast other guests thought it was self service for breakfast but the staff are supposed to give you food

to be honest we have stayed in this hotel several times and it is very nice the staff are pleasant and friendly rooms are big sized and overall i would rate this hotel 8/10 the food is very nice although a little more on the plate would have been nice portions in bar were quite small

For our purposes the location just outside Tipperary town on the Limerick road was excellent, allowing us to visit family and friends and then move on to the next stage of our journey. The breakfast was good value and service in the bar was friendly and efficient. The pool allowed for a moderately good swim. The staff were friendly and the young members of serving staff were clearly doing their best.

We ate in the restaurant one evening. The food was good but we had to wait ages for our drinks. In fact I had to go to the bar to get an aperitif for myself and my wife. However the serving staff were polite and apologetic and the manager agreed to provide us with complimentary drinks. Well done for that. It is a pity that there is no trail around the beautiful grounds to walk or jog. Its monopolised by the golf!

We stopped here for a night to break up our journey, the hotel seems to be good value and we were in a family room which was spacious and well stocked with tea, coffee, soap etc. Breakfast was good value with lots of choice.

There was very slow service in the pub/restaurant in the evening. It didn't matter too much for us but it took a very long time to get food. Also the swimming pool is free to use but when we wanted to use it we couldn't as there was an aerobics class on so would be worth staff giving people this information when they arrive!

The pool was very clean. The sea chowder delicious. The room had 2 twin beds moved together instead of one double bed as per the room description, but I'm not complaining as this was much wider than a standard double bed.

The benches in the sauna and steam room were slimy to touch, so maybe need to be cleaned more often. The beef in the burger for dinner was overcooked and very dry, so I didn't eat it. The dining room staff were overwhelmed during breakfast service and didn't have time to clear the tables.
