Six of us had a meal. The service was excellent and everyone was catered for. The food was scrumptious!!! We could not ask for any better !! A massive shout out for Pauline, the receptionist, she went entirely out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our stay! We will definitely be back again soon!!!
I can't say there was anything we didn't like.. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable and food delicious! All you want when you're on a breakaway!!

Excellent location in the very center of the village. Friendly and helpful staff that will go out of their way for you! And the food, both breakfast and dinner is delicious. There is a lovely walk with fairy doors and other surprises right out the back of the hotel that goes along the golf course all the way to the Swiss House which is also worth the visit. Close to pubs and restaurants and shopping. We had a wonderful stay.
Everything was fantastic!

Excellent food from the "O'Brian's Bar" , I tries 3 different mains and a dessert during my stay - all great. The staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. Location - central in town so you could walk to any of the lovely local attractions.
TV reception struggled on a lot of channels (maybe an ariel upgrade could help? - not a major issue as it was just background noise for me.) Doors were loud when closing (other guests at 6am) maybe something to soften them?

Room was spotless. Lovely fresh bathroom. Its is an older building and the hallways are a bit of a warren, (and no lifts if that is an issue for you) but lots of areas ( though not everywhere) seemed to have been freshly painted. Loved the smell of fresh flowers in reception - seemed perfect for the ambience of the house. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great location in centre of town. Near castle and has lots of little coffee shops etc nearby.
Breakfast was adequate but not very exciting. E.g. fruit salad was mostly crunchy apple and a few bits of grapefruit. No berries or bananas in sight ( except for on the porridge). Scrambled egg on toast was a bit dry.

Lovely hotel, excellent location bang in the middle of town with a free car park to the back with plenty of spaces so that was ideal. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming with everything. Bar staff were spot on & served pints into the small hours, live music was great too, also the bar food was lovely too. Big room, comfy bed, hot shower, old charm but very modern at the same time. I'd give it 10 stars only for the price, you would want it a bit cheaper than what I paid but it's still cheaper than most places😀
Price, you would always want it a bit cheaper than what I paid but €150 is probably the norm now and cheaper than a lot of places I know but it's still a hotel in a town in rural Ireland, other than that I'd give it full stars👌

The hotel is in a prime location and it's history. The castle and gardens and golf at the back and church. Nice bar and areas and live music.
On arrival I expected an Irish welcome and charm. The two women seemed drawn and fed up. Be aware, no lift if you have heavy luggage. In the room we noticed oh we can get breakfast brought up when you put your order on the door handle outside so we did and no breakfast arrived. Also I know it's a grade listed building but it can be noisy and slamming doors at 7 am onwards.

Older, but well managed hotel with many stories to tell! Clean, friendly staff, in the heart of the town, literally right down the street from one of the many famous castles, Cahir Castle (in viewing distance)! Parking was not an issue. It also had close accessibility to an Aldi's (2 minute drive), for last minute necessities. Our room was nice and spacious, beds were very comfy. Would stay here again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cahir House Hotel. 1. The location was ideal for our day trips to Cork City, Cobh, Kinsale, Kilkenny always within 1- 1:30hr drive and even closer to Limerick, Tipperary, Clonmel, Rock of Cashel. 2. The staff were very pleasant & welcoming, willing to help with whatever you needed. 3. Room was spacious with ensuite 4. Bar (Pub) excellent. 5. Food well presented & delicious. 6. Ample parking at the rear of the Hotel.

Cahir House Hotel is just a few steps away from the castle. From our room, we could see the castle lit up at night. Great for dreaming of knights and fair maidens. The beds are comfortable, but we arrived in a heat wave, and the poor little fan couldn't cool down the room. We were very fortunate to arrive at Trad Fest, so sitting in their bar and restaurant, we were entertained with live music. If you are staying at the hotel, have your meals there. The food is exceptional. Just like the food, the service is wonderful. A big thank you to Finnbarr for always checking to ensure my meals were gluten-free and my wine glass was full. I would definitely recommend this as a good location to see Rock of Cashel, swiss Cottage, Cahir Castle, and Jerpoint Abbey and so much more You can start your day with a full Irish breakfast or a buffet breakfast, which was included in our stay. then return at the end of the day for the wonderful dinner in a pub like atmosphere.

A great location staying in a hotel that has a great history within the area … it offered good food and beverage options with parking at the rear, even though not part of the hotel … it is a hub for the locals who are very friendly… it is surrounded by history and is well worth a visit and stay
Whilst it’s not a big issue, there was no A/c and our room could get noisy if the windows were open
