Location, breakfast was delicious. Host made us breakfast sandwiches for our morning train ride

The room was small, shower tiny and dripped all night. Sky light was only window and was opened( had to ask to have it closed) toilet ran forever when flushed. Felt like this was not an original B&Bbroom( had private sign on door ( no others did)

This was our first experience with a bed and breakfast and it was a very pleasant experience. The gentleman on site was so nice and the breakfast was wonderful. Such a nice setup and the food was great. Our room was very clean and nice with plenty of extras such as in room coffee/tea. The location was a bit far from the town center but the grounds itself was very pretty. Overall, it was a great experience and I'd absolutely stay at this property again!

My only complaint is simply that it's not as conveniently located around the town center as I'd like, which is no fault of the staff/owners. However, taxi services were easy and quick so it wasn't a deal breaker and I knew going in that it wouldn't be right in the town center.

Moreover, the breakfast served was a delightful start to each day. The quality of the breakfast not only ensured a satisfying meal but also set a positive tone for the day ahead, whether it involved sightseeing, business meetings, or relaxation. Overall, the combination made the stay in Kilkenny an enjoyable experience. It's no wonder that guests left with fond memories and a desire to return in the future.

David runs a top-notch establishment! We found him to be very outgoing, efficient and full of good local information. Launard House is a decent walk (10-15 minutes) from downtown Kilkenny; we took his advice and had dinner at Kyteler's Inn Excellent food and service and very steeped in tradition! David serves an excellent breakfast, asking guests to jot down their requests the night before so he can prepare them accordingly. There is ample on-site parking, excellent WiFi and location is easily accessed by local roads.

Absolutely nothing!

The owner was wonderful! So very lovely to chat with. Dave obviously loves what he does and took extra good care of us. Upon hearing that one of our party had allergies, he and his wife bought special ingredients, and the breakfast was delicious! He was great at answering questions and giving recommendations. Amazing B&B for a really lovely Irish town.

EASY CHECK IN CONVENIENT TO TOWN FRIENDLY STAFF

ONLY 2 TEA BAGS IN ROOM.I LIKE MY TEA AND FORGOTTEN TO BRING TEA BAGS. REMEDIED THIS BY BUYING A BOX NEXT DAY, LOVELY HOT COOKED BREAKFAST. NO CEREAL ALTHOUGH STATED ON BREAKFAST SHEET, WOULD HAVE LIKED YOGHURT AND FRUIT.

The room as very clean and bonus that the beds had top sheets and there were washcloths in the bathroom. We had 3 people sharing but it didn't feel crowded. Beds were comfortable - loved the old fashioned room keys. The breakfast was delicious and David was very organized and friendly!

Wish it was a little closer to town but we enjoyed the walk back after dinner.

Would have been nice to have a cereal offering too at breakfast and a jug of water. Our room was above the kitchen and we found all the cooking smells travelled up there which wasnt great.

The owner David was very accommodating & helpful. Rooms are sufficient for a couple nights stay just outside of central Kilkenny. We liked the quiet location with a short walk to all the restaurants & historical sites. Breakfast was good & served on time. We also enjoyed interacting with other guests in the friendly breakfast room.

Great overnight stay in Kilkenny. Our room was charming and comfortable with an old-fashioned quaintness. David, our host, was very helpful and friendly and our breakfast was delicious. It is a bit of a walk into the city centre, but it’s not a difficult walk, even at night.
