The facilities for families, the amount of things to keep them entertained with access to the Dino park after hours. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. There were 3 weddings on across the weekend we were there alongside other family events so they were always busy but they did an incredible job making everyone feel welcome. The little kid pack given to the kids upon check in was fantastic. We didnt take advantage of the kids club or evening events but we were able to fully relax and enjoy every minute.
Given how busy they were reservations for the restaurants was a struggle so would have booked beforehand had I have known. Also thought Scott's bar was on the pricier side. Only negative.

The hotel is stunning and the room was really lovely. Bed was extremely comfy too. Breakfast was really nice, lots of choice and absolutely exquisite scrambled eggs (sooo buttery!) Everywhere we went, the staff were lovely too, and so friendly. In the breakfast room, on reception, and in the bar/restaurant. We ate in the restaurant two of the nights, and the kids' menu was pretty good. Meal was lovely. The pool was brilliant, my Son absolutely loved it. The shallow pool for young kids was ideal and we spent most of the time in there. Jurassic Newpark was probably the biggest hit. And the best thing about it was the fact that guests can access it any time at all, even at 8pm when everyone else is gone —you just use your key card to gain entry. They have loads of things to do; the walking dinosaur trail is lovely, and the animatronics are brilliant. My Son particularly loves the go-kart track and spent a lot of time in there. The tree house with slide is also great fun, and the zip line. The pterosaur ride was really amazing too, you can control how high you go. They had lambs and rabbits in the little farm area which was lovely. One lamb escaped from the pen when the park was closed and the staff had gone home. So we had to call someone from reception to get it back in. My Son thought it was hilarious that it kept trying to "bump" me with its little horns. Thankfully it was only a lamb, not a ram! We nicknamed it the "woolly bully." But it was very cute 😊 Jurassic Bounce was well worth the €3. Initially I thought 30 mins wasn't that long, but when I got in and realised how unfit I was and how unhappy my fitbit was with me, I realised 30 mins was plenty of time. It was so much fun, we did it twice. 🥴 Kilkenny city centre is only about a 10 min drive away, and there's plenty of big car parks around right in the middle of town. We wandered around there a few times.
The shower wasn't great, pressure was rubbish. And the fire alarm went off at 5.45am on the first morning which scared the crap out of my Son. But it was probably set off accidentally and stopped about 20 seconds later. Other than that there's nothing I would comment on.

That the Dino park was included. The breakfast was lovely, very homey feel to reception area, Scott's bar very nice. Food lovely
Ok, so the pancakes for kids great idea, but the smarties, marshmallows and sugar on display for kiddies to see is a big NO NO...absolutely should not be allowed as a breakfast option for kids... Also, the salmon dinner in the bar wasn't great quality ... looks like the packaged salmon you get in Lidl. Was looking forward to a fresh big good quality salmon piece, like what you'd get in Kish Fish in Howth .

The room was very nice, the facilities if i had more time i would definitely have used them. I was attending a wedding. The hotel layout was good, good parking facilities.
It would have been nice to have been offered a room to get changed in for the wedding, while my own was been prepared. Maybe not connected to the hotel but I was planning on returning to the adjacent facility of Jurassic park with my children when they arrived, but unfortunately they only open Wednesday to Sunday and didn't suit our trip arrangements.

I cannot rate our stay enough it was absolutely fantastic! the staff made it. they were absolutely AMAZING with my son who has autism. from the front desk/lobby to the dining room and breakfast staff it was 10/10! we had the best time. very clear there's excellent communication between all staff they knew my son's name and gave him an amazing breakfast singing him happy birthday he was absolutely thrilled. the park was brilliant and the pool too. the rooms are absolutely spotless we really had the best time so thank you so much!
I honestly have no complaints at all it was spectacular

There is plenty to do for families, there is a reconstruction going on which will be much better when finished. Food was good. Plenty of places.to relax and chill
Very expensive, the staff looked miserable, especially in the restaurant. Appreciate that they were under pressure, but there.was plenty of staff on the floor just running around like headless chickens, and the staff were very young. The hostess greeting people looked so angry. If you paid people better money then you could train and retain good staff. Also there is a charity drive going on which is only two euro charge on every room. They didn't mention at check out and just charged I thought this was a bit underhanded, especially when they are charging so much for the rooms and serives. How about keeping your prices the same but donate €2 of the cost of the room. Or ask people at reception. I'm sure everyone would do it.

The service was out of this world. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful, especially with my elderly parents. The bedrooms and bathrooms are larger than in many other hotels, and there is a lovely, tastefully decorated seating area.
There was nothing not to like. It was larger than we expected, and did not have the character of an older building, but on the other hand, there is lots to be gained from being in a modern building.

The hotel had great facilities. Very good value. Close to town but not too close. Staff were extremely friendly and professional. We had treatments in the spa, and they were fantastic. Great selection for breakfast. Had dinner 1 night and great selection and quality very good.
Not very much. Our room was a bit cold but was sorted when we informed staff. This isn't something I didn't like but it's a family hotel, there was alot of children around, not a problem for us but might be for a couple looking for a romantic few days away.

Lovely hotel, extremely friendly staff throughout the hotel. Great food fab room
Too many children allowed to run around or be around the lobby until after 11pm leaving mess for the staff and disconcerting for a lot of the adults. I am very aware it’s a family hotel but perhaps there should be an area for families who wish to stay up late. Perhaps even open the terrace bar for them

Really great hotel for families. Staff are so helpful and kind with the children. Had a really lovely stay and the kids had a ball. Great that the hotel has a family room with amenities to sterilise bottles etc, really helpful when travelling with a baby. Lovely pool, great outdoor area for kids. Little things like free face painting and free cookies and milk at night for kids, and a live musician in the evenings outside the bar really add to the hotel as a family friendly destination.
The toddler room wasn’t great, needs an update. A bit dirty, I didn’t want to put my crawling baby on the floor. Maybe a rule to take shoes off would help. Also there’s not a huge amount in there to entertain a baby/toddler. Jurassic newpark could do with being kept a little bit more maintained, but the staff were all great and very enthusiastic.
