Location is beautiful. The grounds and walled garden are stunning . The reception area is impressive with beautiful decor. Grill room was busy at night. Attentive staff and good service. Pint of Guinness was 7 E. Glass of wine 10 E. Bed was large size and comfortable. Breakfast was great with plenty of choices. Staff were attentive. Bathroom is spacious with a large bath. Separate shower . Plenty of towels. Room was cold on arrival but temperature can be adjusted.

I was disappointed that there was no shampoo in the shower. I rang Reception and the phone was not working. My friends phone in another room was not working either. I found a Supervisor and requested shampoo and was told it was on a shelf in the shower. I checked and there was no shampoo. Again, I found the same Supervisor and told her that there definitely was No Shampoo. She said she would get some but laughed as I walked away. I got the shampoo within 10 mins. There were two Barry's tea bags and 4 health tea bags in room. . I requested ordinary tea bags and got some extra. . Small things but for the price I would expect a better service. The room was cold on arrival but I adjusted temperature.

It’s a fabulous hotel in a magnificent setting, beautiful gardens. The spa was lovely and dinner was also quite nice

We stayed in a room in the old building. On booking.com it was advertised as having a big bed which it definitely was not. That’s very disappointing since I upgraded to this room. Also it was very warm and there wasn’t air conditioning.

Lovely modern, comfortable rooms. The air con was a big plus. The grounds are beautiful, as is the hotel itself. The entertainment provided in the lobby was lovely and added to the atmosphere. The food in the bar was delicious. The staff were very attentive and friendly. I used the thermal suite which was very enjoyable too, but I did find the 25euro a bit much, on top of the cost of my hotel stay. Overall, we had a lovely experience and I would certainly recommend anyone to stay at the Lyrath.

Loved my stay here, but as I mentioned above I think that 25euro for use of the thermal suite is very pricey.

It is difficult to identify a specific thing in this exceptional experience. From the minute you drive up the drive, to the welcome from the porters at the front door, the quality of the experience continued. Beautifully appointed rooms and the sun filled atrium contributed to our relaxing stay. Our trip to celebrate a special birthday for my sister was delightful. The surprise was the unexpected presentation of a lovely birthday sweet at the table for her evening meal. All staff were delightful and could spot the requirements of their residents. We thoroughly enjoyed our walks around the estate. Alan and Fiona Hughes

The grounds is beautiful - gorgeous walks & the new extension is sympathetically done & the old manor remains as front of house / the choice of food & restaurants is good - with the Lady Charlottes tea room a lovely addition.

The food in the Eden bistro is not up to a five star rating it’s just ok- the interiors of the new extension has everything thrown at it - no coherent design just a keletic miss of lots of modern designs - it is not sympathetic to manor front & does not show any hint of Irish design - I was disappointed. Spa is too small & needs to accommodate a more outdoor indoor feel / again the interior has let it down.

The grounds were fantastic and the beds were the best we had during our Ireland tour. We had the king room and it was extremely spacious and comfortable. Our view was of the fountain and would not have changed a thing. The breakfast buffet was delicious with plenty of options including fried eggs made right in front of you. Also, go into town and visit the little local pub The Hole in The Wall. If you are from the states, this is what you are looking for in an Irish pub!

The food and service at the Grill & Bar Restaurant was meh overall. The waiter didn’t say more than 2 words to us and the fillet was well done versus medium rare like I ordered. I would have also appreciated a water fountain or water purification stand to refill our water bottles. Not enough to not stay here again, we loved it despite these minor inconveniences.

The food in the Grill & Bar was excellent

For a five star hotel and the money you pay I don't think they should be charging guests €25 to use the spa area. Very disappointed with this.

Breakfast was delicious . Cooked freshly and service was superb. Lots of choice on menu.

Really I couldn’t find fault with my stay . Facilities and service was excellent. Extremely clean also. Music in bar every night with a fantastic singer. The atmosphere was very positive and Operations Manager, Sean Foley and all other staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. What didn’t I like? The fact that I had to go home! We will definitely be back again hopefully, sooner rather than later . A super hotel in an idyllic location

Lyrath hotel is gorgeous, luxurious and relaxing. Fabulous gardens. Food was top class. Staff very attentive and courteous. Dean and Karl (new guy from Carlow) were working in bar on Tuesday 22/04 and they were great lads. Very welcoming, chatty and hardworking. Everywhere in hotel was spotless & clean. Bedroom was very comfortable and the Rituals shower gel and lotion in bathroom were a lovely bonus. Music in the lobby on Wed night was also fab. Enjoyed our stay in Lyrath. Highly recommend.

No fault to find but thought the grill menu was expensive for what you got. Restaurant only offer one side as in potatoes, vegetables, chips with 1 main course. Slightly pricey as my fish main was quite on small side .Think 2 sides should be included in main course for what you're paying for.

Staff amazing. Couldn't do enough for you. Ashleigh was very helpful prior to trip. Beautiful hotel with lovely decor.

Leisure centre changing rooms very small especially if bringing a young baby into pool. Appeared to have been a mix up with Restaurant opening on the Sunday. Wanted to book the Eden restaurant for the Sunday but was told it was closed so celebrated in the Grill bar instead. Could have changed to the Sunday when we found out but we had already eaten there on Saturday night. Was a bit disappointed but both restaurants were excellent.
