Larger than you might think from the street, it also has two pubs / bars attached, parking in the back, and some decent options for breakfast. It's a short walk to Kilkenny Castle and all the shops, pubs and restaurants you could want.

More sprawling on the inside than you'd think, and a little confusing to access various side entrances. Parking was supposed to be free, but we ended up paying a small fee to get out. Minor concerns, however, for an otherwise great stay.

Clean, comfy rooms. My single room was v big with a double and a single bed in it. Staff polite and friendly. Well stocked rooms with v good housekeeping. Good location. Slept well with no disturbance despite being hotel being over a pub. Nice breakfast with welcoming breakfast staff.

Older style hotel room and bathroom would be considered a bit tired by some people's standards but was spotlessly clean and good quality. Price was high due to Kilkenny arts festival. Biggest gripe is check in lady forgot to tell me if you want to get in after bar closed there is a buzzer above top left corner of front door to ring. Not that visible so I was panicking and banging the door thinking I'd be sleeping outside in early hours...luckily guy that answered was lovely and explained what to do.

It is a wonderfully central hotel on top of every amenity in the centre of the city & staff very friendly & helpful & a had residents bar/restaurant as well.

Shower was unbelievably hot & couldn't adjust it to a cooler more manageable temperature but all in all very good value for money. If only had iacuzzi/swimming room but in all seriousness only disappointing thing was probably the shower.

Everything. Great bed rooms. Very clean. Staff are so so friendly and helpful. Food is great with a great selection to choose from. Music every night. 2 bars attached to the hotel. Good safe access to car park. Great location. Everything walking distance. Also you can not hear the music from the 2 bars when in bed. :)

Nothing in brochure to suggest the myriad of stairs one had to traverse to get to and from bedroom. Why is there no direct access from very good carpark to hotel reception.

The location was ideal to explore the town. It was good to have free car parking. Access to the bars was good

Our room was very dark, very little natural light with just a small sky light window. Sunday night was very noisy with the sound of people in nearby beer gardens (not the hotel’s) I think it was quite pricey at £150 per night and no breakfast.

10 +++ / AA +++ stay, Amazing fast check-in. Elevator. However many steps even with elevator/lift. Great WiFi. Parking directly in rear of property. Good heat. 10 minutes walk to the historic town center. Great pub attached (downstairs). Great hot water. Nice clean room and bathroom. Relatively modern room, Great stay! Daniel - USA

Room was clean, fulfilled all my needs quite nicely and the overall layout of the hotel was fun to navigate thanks to good signage. Location was incredibly ideal, very close to the station, pretty close to a venue I was in town for and is right next-door to a place that does an excellent breakfast that I would totally recommend. To be fair though, based on the food I did have in the hotel pub, I have no doubt that their breakfast is likely to be just as good and I genuinely hope to take advantage of that next time because I am definitely hoping to visit again. No question that I'll stay here any time I find myself going to Kilkenny!

Can't really fault it. Only thing I could nitpick would be that the toilet happened to be right next to the bathroom door which felt a little cramped but was not a big deal and I can understand why the layout would've necessitated that.

Really enjoyed the room and convenience of the location, as I was coming from the train station on foot and it was very close without being too close, and the room was very comfy and well heated. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and check in was a breeze.

My room was really large and spacious, and I slept really well in the bed. Views of the castle from the window, and I could watch Netflix on the room’s TV. I really appreciated the 12pm checkout.

The wifi didn’t work well at all, I had to rely on phone data.
