We had a really nice stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The room was clean, comfortable, and well designed with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. While the location wasn't in the heart of everything, it was still very convenient to get around easily. Overall, a great experience and I’d definitely stay here again!

The only small point of feedback would be the bathroom, which felt a little dated compared to the rest of the room and hotel. A bit of modernisation would really bring it in line with the overall aesthetic. That said, it didn’t impact my stay in any major way, and I’d happily return in the future.

Big room with very comfortable beds, plenty of room for 1 adult and 2 children. Beautiful breakfast which was included in price. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and both the service and food was excellent. Pool facilities were great for children. The hotel is a little out of the city centre which suited us fine.

Parking upon arrival was difficult, I think there was a wedding at the hotel at the same time so may not be like that regularly. . The room and bathroom were a little tired and in need of updating, the furniture was marked (but functional) and the window whistled with the wind. My friends stayed in an updated room and the bathroom was amazing, so I'm sure they are getting around to the other rooms. The coffee mugs were basic, as was the tea and coffee available in the room.

My friend and I were unexpectedly upgraded to a “plus” (brand new) room at check-in. It was gorgeous! The beds were really comfortable, there was loads of space, and there were lots of nice little extras, like fluffy robes and slippers in the wardrobe, and a Nespresso machine. The bathroom was beautiful, with a big walk-in shower with two shower heads and proper toiletries. I thought the price was very reasonable for the high quality accommodation. The location is also very good; it was just a 25-min. walk into the city centre. We had a light dinner in the bar before heading out for a concert at The Hub (a 10-min. drive away). A starter was big enough for me, with a side of chunky chips. The deep-fried goat’s cheese was delicious. The breakfast on Sunday morning was excellent, with several choices of cooked dishes, plus cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, pastries, delicious brown bread, juices, iced water, and plenty of tea and coffee. Every taste was catered for (including vegan options). My poached eggs were perfectly cooked, which is no mean feat when catering for large numbers. I really liked the fact that the cooked breakfast was made to order and not sitting congealing under heat lamps. The only problem was knowing when to stop eating! The staff in the restaurant at breakfast were very attentive and friendly, and there were plenty of them on duty. Despite advance warnings about delays at “rush hour,” it was not crowded and we didn’t have to wait for a table.

I really was very happy with the Hotel Kilkenny. It felt luxurious, while being considerably cheaper than some of the other hotels in the city. My only suggestion would be to provide more shelf space in the bathroom for people’s own toiletries, and a couple of hooks on the bathroom door for towels or bath robes. (My robe was wet from the swimming pool and there was nowhere to hang it up, bar the wardrobe). Other than that, I couldn’t fault anything about our stay.

The hotel was beautiful and reception and bar staff were very helpful. It was a 10 min walk into the centre. The room was very clean and comfortable. The room facility's were excellent, the coffee/tea tray was great and the addition of robes was a nice touch. I liked the different bins for recycling and the full size bottles of bathroom items. The breakfast was very good, good choice for room service. We didn't use the leisure center but good that there was one.

Room was a little chilly on arrival but the heat was on timer and came on later. Silly item but somewhere to hang the hand towel beside the sink would be good.

Room was spacious and clean. Bathroom was quite dated but worked perfectly.breakfast both mornings was good with a good variety of options. We ate in the bar restaurant both nights and both were extremely satisfied with the food. The pool also is fantastic and the kids pool flowing into the adults pool is great!

Had to ask both nights for a steak knife which shouldn't have to be a request once steak is ordered. We also were left alone a long time the second night and would have had more drinks if we were asked. Overall though the rest of the service was brilliant. It was clearly advertised that no cots were available but this would be a great option for smaller kids. Luckily, ours was just about big enough for the big bed.

The hotel was quite good, and it had excellent facilities (lobby, restaurants, active club and pool area). The room could have improvements, it was a little dated, bathroom too, but they were clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast was really good and exceeded our expectations. The buffet area and restaurants were beautiful, and the staff was helpful and attentive. The children's menu was quite impressive, I had never seen so many options for children in restaurants. The pool area had a nice children's pool, and the reception desk staff was great too. I would recommend a stay there (couples, families with children) and would stay again in the hotel.

The room was a little dated, bathroom too, they could be renovated (especially bathroom), but beds were comfortable. There were no outlets near the bed and my husband uses a CPAP machine to sleep. He talked to the reception staff, and they provided a long cable socket outlet and left it in the room, so all was resolved in a few minutes.

There was a great variety of breakfast options and the hot options were delivered promptly. The waiting staff were very attentive - used items were cleared and not left taking space on the table. All staff we interacted with were very friendly and polite and happy to provide recommendations which is something we really appreciate.

The room temperature was a bit too warm for us as a family, however that may be simply because we tend to prefer cooler bedrooms. It was possible to lower the set temperature on the radiator control but that was automatically reset daily.

The hotel staff from start to finish. They were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and went the extra mile to make my stay special. Breakfast was delicious and well prepared/presented and they have a variety of options.

The only small improvement I’d suggest is adding a streaming service in the room, as it’s becoming more common for guests to use different platforms for movies and entertainment and The extra charge for the hats in the swimming pool.

Friendly staff,in every sector,within the hotel,the level of hygiene was excellent throughout, food and drink was also very good,, both breakfast and evening meals,and finally a visit to the leisure centre was a great experience, with a fantastic facility available,where we were welcomed by really nice staff, We would definitely recommend a visit to Hotel Kilkenny *****

We were attending a wedding. Excellent service from the front desk staff to the wedding staff and the staff behind the bar and every single member of staff were very friendly and polite. We had a beautiful room and we enjoyed our 2 nights there

Front entrance at smoking area plenty of cigarette butts . Parking an issue as we had to drive around 3 times to get a parking spot
