Staff were incredibly attentive, they gave the hotel the luxury touch it deserves and really elevated the whole atmosphere of the hotel. The facilities were clean, well equipped and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were both incredible. Service was quick and on point and the food was divine. Genuinely an experience that makes you smile with every mouthful it is such a pleasure to eat.

Signage could be better on there exterior of the hotel. Google maps shows a road access point which is no longer viable so this needs updating and once on the property it is confusing where to go/park at first.

The hotel was spotless and the staff were very nice and welcoming

I had and issue with my booking when I booked the no refund choice by mistake. I tried in vain to change this with booking.com telling me it was up to the hotel and the hotel telling me it was up to booking.com. Basically I got the run around. I had to cut my trip short due to family issues and lost the second night of a two night stay. Leaves a bitter taste when I tried 3 weeks prior to departure to change it with no satisfaction and tried again at the hotel to be told I should have asked at least 3 days prior to the date. Does not reflect well on either booking.com or the hotel.

Everything! Wonderful hotel and we hope to come back during our next stay. Breakfast was divine with the view over the bridge and staff were super helpful. The spa staff was very welcoming too.

Reception didn’t accommodate our request for an hour later check-out the next day (we had to pay a fee). Also a little bit of a disconnect with the communication I had thus far with the hotel. The hotel knew this was our wedding anniversary and a special booking, and when we arrived the welcome was not what I expected and nothing was mentioned at all. A little too cold to my likening.

Very friendly staff that went above and beyond for you to enjoy your stay which for me is important. Food at dinner was so good and the staff so friendly and polite and also at breakfast, at breakfast my daughter really wanted mushrooms and there was none so I asked the chef if I could get some and he kindly said I’ll make some for you and send them to your table which was so nice. The pool area was fabulous I liked how you booked a slot and wasn’t packed with other residents so you could enjoy it more. The location was perfect and will definitely be back.

Not sure about the air conditioning it was very warm at night maybe I just didn’t work it properly but was told it was on in my room but couldn’t exactly feel it.

The first time at The Ebrington and certainly not our last. The hotel is in the perfect location to walk the River Foyle or explore the city. On arrival, we were welcomed by the receptionists warm smile and helpful attitude. The hotel and rooms are exceptional, beautifully decorated, and comfortable. We had breakfast both mornings the quality of the food excellent and the staff so lovely and genuinely nice. We used the thermal spa which was included in the price, so relaxing after a full day out and about. The area outside in the complex is interesting and is being developed tastefully and will certainly enhance this venue.

Beautiful hotel immaculate throughout, everything finished to a high standard. majority of staff were local & so friendly & helpful. surrounding area is beautiful calm & relaxing. great location for walking to centre of town & sightseeing. Grateful for an early check in. Food in the bar was great & breakfast was excellent. looking forward to returning again soon.

only issue was the heat in the breakfast room apparently there was a problem with the automatic heating system it would have melted you same issue in hallways however room temperature was fine. never had time to use the spa facility but hopefully will next time we go

Great location in a former military base that’s been completely transformed with historic buildings mixed in with a few modern ones, along with parks. Got upgraded to a river view room. View over the river and town were fantastic. 10 or so minute walk over the Peace Bridge to the wall. Comfortable room and bed. Good gym.

They lose a point on the perfume smell in the public areas. I don’t get why hotels do this, and this one was a bit extreme. Breakfast not the best. Very limited (maybe zero?) signage to find the hotel from the parking lot.

Beautiful, luxury hotel with the most fabulous staff. Honestly they were all very friendly; nothing was too much of a hassle. Lovely Laura on reception was welcoming & accommodating from the outset of our experience. There was also a very friendly, attentive member of staff at breakfast who got us seated (we didn't manage to get her name, possibly a manager?!) but she is exactly the type of person you want to meet and greet you first thing and make you feel comfortable and accommodated. The amazing staff are definitely what made our experience a highly recommended one to friends & family. In fact, we've booked again for a couple of weeks time. The location is perfect, a short walk over the bridge and you're in the centre. Gorgeous bakery attached which we sampled on the way home. Also highly recommend. We cannot wait to come back.

Really gorgeous hotel. Super clean, staff friendly. Would defo recommend + return. Easy location to get to. Handy to get to amenities across peace bridge. Great value for money. Big shout out to Gerry- delivered bags + coats to room. Super friendly, Super helpful! Good food at dinner, breakfast fantastic. Lovely location. Perfect weekend stay.

Extra charge for carpark. Advised not to book table in lounge for food but was extremely busy + no seats when we arrived Shortly after was quickly accommodated. Priority should be given to hotel guests! Spa very busy too many people in a once, some guests keeping loungers even when not physically using.

We loved our stay at the Ebrington and will return to Derry someday in part just to stay there again!!! With such a long list of things we liked, it's hard to know where to start! STAFF: Absolutely stellar in every way. Cheerful, kind, helpful, just the right amount of chatty, and full of area knowledge that helped us make some changes to our itinerary that we didn't even know we needed! In particular, we want to mention the following fantastic folks: Concierge Jerry (@JerryFromDerry), who is a walking encyclopedia of area info, has the most lovely personality, helped us navigate arrival & departure with our too-many bags, and made sure we took full advantage of all their amenities. Blonde Emma and Brunette Emma, who were friendly and efficient and also extremely helpful in advising on small towns around and places to dine (The Blackbird was a great reco!). Jarlath, who recommended their seasonal Christmas tea, and it was delicious... he even brought us to-go cups of it as we headed out for our morning walk. Nate, whose wit and charm know no bounds; we tried to sit in his area each morning for breakfast. Oh, and the breakfast!!! Something for everyone (including vegans and gluten-free folks alike), and so very tasty. We ate a light'ish dinner each evening b/c we looked so forward to the breakfast sausages and beans! :) The room itself? Heavenly mattress with the perfect support for my injured lower back, plus premium comfort of memory foam. We slept so beautifully there! Plenty of room for all our stuff, very nice bathroom with great water pressure and enough space for toiletries. Other things we loved about the room: A window that actually opens, for when a hot flash struck, the lovely cartons of water and oat cookies for a wee treat, and streaming services so while getting ready each day, we could rewatch Derry Girls in Derry. :)

Truly, the only thing we didn't like was having to leave and head back to the US. :) Our suggest improvements are admittedly nitpicky: The room could do with a towel warming rack to help dry everything (including our spa clothes, which stayed damp for days) and milder hand soap -- we both had an aversion to the extremely strong matronly floral perfume of the hand soap. The spa pool was weirdly body-temp (which made us think of childhood summers when that was a dead giveaway that someone had taken a wee in the pool near you); we both expected it to be more like a hot tub (but cold would've been nice, too, for post-hiking knees).
