The room was very comfortable and spacious. There was a separate living room area with a second TV. The included breakfast was great, and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved the location, right on the main street in Kenmare.

Parking near the hotel was quite limited, though it was easy enough to park in the lot less than 5 minute walk away. (I believe there is some parking behind the hotel, but we didn't use that.) Just be aware that the live music in the pub in the evening can be very loud in the rooms. I was aware of the pub below, and I had requested a quiet room, but was given a room directly above the pub on the first floor. We could barely even hear the TV in our room over the music. I was thankful I had earplugs, though I could still hear the music with them in. I imagine that the rooms on the second floor, or those closer to the back of the building would be quieter.

Location is on a very busy commercial narrow road. However we managed to park on it ok after a while. We were told to ignore the two hour limit which felt a little uncomfortable . Our room was lovely. Plenty of hot water. Good wi fi. Breakfast was wonderful and staff were pleasant and helpful. Our evening meal was also very good. It's a fun and vibrant area with good shopping to enjoy a walkabout.

We probably would not have booked this place if we had known the parking problems. We try to only book hotels with free private parking as we don't need hassle. . There is some private parking behind the pub but we were recommended not to use it because of deliveries and small spaces our car we were told would be safer on the street. The piped music in the bar was a little loud for our taste. Hard to have a quiet drink.

Loved this place. Old family pub in the center of town with rooms above. We got a text 2 days before our scheduled stay letting us know there had been a death in the family so the pub and restaurant were closed. When asked, they provided us recommendations on where to eat - which were great. And they provided breakfast even though they were "closed". Would love to visit again to get the "full" experience.

The water pipes were a little noisy - but it's an old and beautiful property.

Very bright rooms in a central location with plenty of nearby free parking. Huge and delicious full Irish breakfast, with gluten free options . Staff were very friendly and obliging, and took a genuine interest in us as guests and in ensuring we had a great stay in the Kenmare area. Accommodations are above the pub which hosts live music, but there was absolutely no noise from the music, the patrons, or the street. Good shower with lots of pressure and hot water

Toilet was a little slow to flush on our arrival, but the proprietor fixed it promptly

To say you stayed upstairs, on top of a bar is pretty exciting! We anticipated the building to be loud in our room, however it was nice and quiet. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. The morning breakfast was exactly what we wanted, simple, tasty, and fulfilling! The location is in the heart of Kenmare, easily accessible. Parking was not an issue. The live music in the evenings helped to bring out the best of the Irish culture!

The location was AMAZING!! For a very busy street , the rooms out the back were sooooo quiet! Perfect!! Very very spacious huge room. Lovely cosy colours. Very happy. Could walk straight to the shops outside as well as the stone circle and wee bridge all within easy reach. Breakfast was to a great standard . I chose the poached eggs which were done to perfection & came with good old Irish soda bread and mushrooms & tomatoes too. So much to choose from in addition and I had a window seat looking onto the street too. Some great books in the breakfast area about Ireland . I thought I'd booked a single room but when I was shown to my room it was a double. Happy bunny!!!!!

I am travelling in my own. I walked in to Donnabhains for a meal the night before. I was shown to a table right at the very very back with no prospect of speaking to anyone. I waited but no one came with a menu or to take a drink order. In the minutes that I waited I decided to go elsewhere . I am sure it would have all been lovely but a combination of factors moved me on. I found somewhere with live music and chatted to some locals which I thoroughly enjoyed!!

Excellent location, fabulous rooms with an extra comfortable lounge area just outside our 2 rooms. They allowed us to securely park our 2 motorcycles at the rear of the property. Our evening meal and breakfast were fantastic. All the staff could not have done more to ensure we enjoyed our stay. This was the second time we have stayed there and definitely won't be our last.

This is a lovely pub with great food and plenty of accommodation. The room was really spacious as was the bathroom. And all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Live music every night but could hear nothing up in the room.

We liked everything. Perhaps bed could do with an extra layer of mattress for me as quite hard. But matter of taste.

This is a great place to stay whilst in this lovely Kerry town. O'Donnabhain's is right at the heart of the town and offers a bar and restaurant as well as the accommodation. The rooms in this place are huge and most have more than one bed - ours had a double and two singles and there was still plenty of space. The rooms are also very quiet, with no noise from the busy bar downstairs.

Whilst this was not an issue for us, there is no lift in this property so access to the rooms requires climbing two flights of stairs.

Great location right in the heart of Kenmare. Large, clean. comfortable room, with en-suite. Plenty of power outlets. Excellent cooked to order breakfast set me up for the day. Huge bar area (serves food although I did not eat here). Live music on the evenings I was there.

Parking is a bit hit and miss. Some parking at the back of the property and street parking nearby, if you can find it. Larger town carpark out by the Catholic Church.
