A very welcoming place to stay, spacious and really nicely presented. We didn’t eat there apart from two desserts but the restaurant area was nice and well staffed. Our room was really lovely, recently renovated and well equipped with its own little terrace - next door was a mobility accessible room (one of our group was in it) so good to note for those that might want an accessible room with a companion room next door.

Some things missed by housekeeping in the attention to the room prep. Some splashes on lower inside of bathroom door, the coffee / tea facilities weren’t stocked and we were told there was a mini fridge but there was none. The cups also were not clean and had tea stains on the inside. Also a dirty glass on terrace and an unemptied ashtray didn’t leave a good impression overall of housekeeping attention.

From start to finish, my experience at the Clanard Court Hotel was nothing short of excellent. Due to a delayed flight, I arrived much later than expected and unfortunately missed the dinner service. However, the lovely lady at reception went above and beyond—she kindly arranged for a light bite to eat, which was such a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture after a long and tiring journey. The level of customer service throughout my stay was outstanding. Every member of staff I encountered was warm, welcoming, and eager to ensure a pleasant experience. The room was beautifully appointed—clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The hotel itself has a refined yet cosy charm, with elegant amenities and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it perfect for relaxation. The grounds are beautifully kept, and the location offers a lovely blend of countryside serenity with easy access to the town of Athy. I would highly recommend the Clanard Court Hotel for anyone seeking comfort, quality service, and genuine Irish hospitality.

Our son and his new wife booked his wedding here, and from start to finish, it was amazing. The hotel itself is beautiful, and we booked the Retreat Suite for 2 nights and weren't disappointed...wow!. Bedroom, bathroom and sitting room were amazing. The ceremony was in an old wooden chuch at the back of the property, which was gorgeous😍, and ceremony were conducted by Lovett Ceremonies. The food was amazing - def go for the beef! And the band, the Tripps were, by far, one of the best bands for your reception we could recommend. Lastly, the staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble and they chatted with us, ensuring everything was perfect throughout the day. DON'T GIVE IT A SECOND THOUGHT - DEFINITELY AN A1 EXPERIENCE AND WE WILL BE BACK.

I liked everything. I stayed here last week and didn't think it could be better.. But it was..!! Colette on reception was excellent... And not just because she upgraded me..!! The room was fabulous... Really comfortable, clean and the little extras made a welcome treat. Had dinner in the restaurant again and it too was fabulous....Anne in particular was extremely pleasant. What a lovely experience to stay in a hotel where everyone seems happy to be working there.... it certainly shows. Thanks everyone 😁

We really like the warm and friendly welcome , girls on reception we lovely, lady who served breaking was really friendly, room was big ,bed comfy and the bath towels were large and fluffy the hotel is spotless as were the grounds, staff made a great effort with Christmas coats, ties and hair pieces

I think he was the head bar man he was talking about his staff coming in late but going home at normal times to other staff ,my husband ordered a large bottle with dinner and the girl brought over a small she brought it back and the bar man said sure he'd have that small one gone in two mouthfuls we could clearly hear him and other people could too he was rude .

I really thought this hotel was excellent. Extremely comfortable and warm and everything one could want from a one night stay. The bathroom is super. The girls in the restaurant yesterday evening were really pleasant and very well turned out.. And I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Thanks guys..! An overall lovely experience.

The only criticism I have is the cleanliness of the carpet in the bedroom. There were two areas where there were.. Crisps.. (?) from a previous occupant... Otherwise it was fabulous. 1

A beautiful, attractive building with a very welcoming Receptionist -Hazel. We were given the choice of 2 rooms, both of which were well appointed. One wasn't ready (although it was 4pm check-in time). The room we took was large and comfortable with everything we needed. The property is only about 1.5 km from the township, so very handy for eating out, although there is a bar & bistro on site. There was an open fire in the reception area.

The breakfast arrangements were unclear. Breakfast wasn't included in our room rate but we chose to eat there before we left. We were invited to help ourselves from the buffet (continental) and someone would be along to take our cooked order. When we were seated we found the menu which gave us the costs. A board outside the bistro detailing all of that would have been most helpful. There were no tissues in our room, minor! The sofa was not correctly positioned to make TV viewing comfortable. We rearranged the room to make it so, and put it back in the morning 🤣

Great from start to finish. The staff are just super…nothing is too much trouble. The hotel was very busy with a funeral party on the day I arrived, meaning the bar was very busy. I decided to order dinner to my room and it was first class. I also requested coffee and water to be delivered to the room at 7am as I had an early online meeting and again this was provided without any hassle at all. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else when in the area.

Staff were friendly, hotel was spotless and comfortable, breakfast good also. I left an item in the bedroom and was down the town before I realised, returned after few hours and it was handed into reception by housekeeping. While we were there we had dinner for 2 adults 2 kids, everyone was so please, food not full of salt or garlic, which is unusual these days. Food good and hot and staff more that efficient.

A little expensive for 1 night stay but then it was a bank holiday so…..

The headline was how friendly and helpful all of the staff were The hotel is well appointed with a cosy lobby and good restaurant facilities Every part of the hotel was very clean and well kept The rooms were pitch black at night (not for everyone but this is a big positive for me personally) and in the nighttime hours there was silence which is a rare thing

The only constructive criticism would be that the towels were average sized and quite thin; some fuller, thicker towels would have been welcome. This is a micro negative though.
