The decor, the ambience, the comfort, the peace & quiet and above all the very kind & helpful hosts Tom & Ger. I felt safe and like i was at home. The b&b is very tastefully decorated and feels grand but cosy and not pretentious. Its also 5 mins drive from the centre. The hosts are so kind & we had lovely chats. They offered fresh water bottles daily and even offered to provide warm plates when i ordered a take away for myself & my nephew who visited me. Thats so considerate! I was v touched. I will definitely come back and highly reccomend it for old world traditional hospitality with all mod cons. Being a south Asian i often encounter snooty behaviour from people in some parts of Europe but here I was treated fairly and welcomed like any other guest (same as in my home in London) . Great communication prior and during our stay. Top facilities & all the extra touches. Super soft towels, comfortable bed a goodnights sleep. Tom was very welcoming & attentive. Lovely well kept gardens, clean & homely house, breakfast was plentiful, lots of choice. Location was great for us visiting family nearby.

Traditional B&B in a lovely home with ample public sitting areas. Very quiet environment. My room was very large with an attached bath. Very comfortable bed. Great shower with hot water. Room was at a comfortable temperature. Good wifi. Host was very attentive without being intrusive. Free parking. Would definitely recommend this accommodation.

I can understand why this property was already rated very high. When I walked in the house and my room it appeared to be better than some ( star hotels I’ve stayed in. Everything you would want for a short or long stay. Comfortable large room. Warm and very comfortable bed. Tea/coffee making facilities. Impeccable neatness and decor. Great en-suite with good shower and white soft towels. I can’t think of anything negative to say. Just superb.

it had a home comfort with professional facilities. It was the cleanest place i stayed in Ireland. Access was easy and comfortable. The facilities in the room was more than enough. It was comfortably quiet and relaxing experience. There was extra information about all the attraction points in Carlow .

We had just arrived from Dublin Airport and we just wanted to store our luggage, but Tom allowed us to check in early. It was greatly appreciated! The breakfast was delicious. The room very very cozy and clean. Had a wonderful stay and the B&B was very quiet ...had great sleeps 💤 Thanks Tom for such a great stay.

Good location but road a bit busy and noisy. Lovely well appointed property, good size room and comfortable bed. Access to residents lounge. Secure parking. Excellent breakfasts. Would stay here again and recommend it. Tom is a very good host with lots of local knowledge and recommendations for places to visit and to eat.

Bed and breakfast was great.avlon guest house was very central for everything.were glad we found this wonderful place.you can get to many places by coach or train.tom who runs the place is very helpful.could'nt be more helpful.thanks tom

We liked everything.

Avlon House is a modern purpose built B & B that is spacious and tastefully decorated throughout to make for a very comfortable stay. Tom and his team do a great job in looking after their guests and we certainly left with a view that this was one of the best B & B's we'd stayed in during our three week stay in Ireland. Tom also gave us some great tips on various gardens to visit while we sere staying in Carlow

Can't praise 🙌 this b@b enough beautiful there attention to detail is unreal by far best place iv ever stayed can't recommend it enough and the breakfast is outstanding value and gorgeous and the owners are fantastic you won't be disappointed 😀
