Great location, lift, pleasant restaurant and bar, good breakfast. (Very good breakfast staff) Friendly attentive room staff, excellent check in receptionist. Comfortable room.

I was given wrong breakfast times for the day we left. (2nd January) This meant that as we were catching the morning ferry we could not have the full breakfast that was promised in writing. A pre ordered continental one was available. The evening receptionist told me the night before that this kind of error was to be expected. She had to be asked for an apology. When I emailed a few days later, the hotel staff did apologise by return. The bathroom wash basin had a long hairline crack and was a little loose. I understand this has been on the hotels to do list for a quiet period.

The is a great location along the promenade with easy walking access to the beach and a longer walk to the shopping and restaurant area. The hotel's restaurant was good with a nice buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The offer a High Tea but you have to reserve 24 hours in advance. The staff was very helpful. We took the local bus from the airport to the hotel, it stops right out front; and a taxi back - very easy. Make sure you say "Hi" to the fairies when you cross the fairy bridge. :-)

The rooms were small for the length of our stay. There was a bed and a desk with little room otherwise. We looked at other rooms and this is standard for our part of the hotel. If you are staying for an extended period, suggest you ask about a larger room, especially if you have large suitcases. We travel with carry-on luggage and even this was in the way.

We booked the Penthouse Suite, which met our expectations of size, comfort, and the location of the hotel was good. The staff were helpful in response to queries. We were disappointed with a couple of minor issues but the staff dealt with them promptly. A good restaurant and reasonable. Free on road parking with the use of a parking disc. A very enjoyable stay.

Noise from the hot water system switching on at 6am every morning which is loud. The balcony and furniture hadn't been cleaned before our arrival. It was promptly done when I pointed this out. The expense of the room should have warranted a mini bar, especially as it included a fridge. The breakfast was the same every day although a reasonable amount of choice.

Great breakfast (though the kipper is exactly that: a kipper on a plate - this is what I expect, but my cousin expected something else....) and amazing staff who were more than willing to help accommodate our needs. Nice lounge, reasonable bar, and easy to get to - only a 15 minute walk from the ferry. And, if important to you, ironing facilities available - they lend you an iron and Ironing board.

I'm a tad under six foot and found that my feet were flirting dangerously with the end of the bed in the single room. Can imagine that a taller man might struggle and a sign I should have gone for a double. The pillow was also acceptable, but not amazing - both worth mentioning for the fussier travellers!

I first stayed at this iconic IoM hotel in the early 90's, before I'd been to the island to watch the racing, so had fond memories of it. Have been in on several occasions since, but only for a drink - usually during the TT or MGP, but not to stay there. Since our team won the MGP last year, I was back on the island for the Winners Dinner which was a great night just down the road from the Empress. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, great staff and great views of Douglas Bay.

It has to be said that it's getting 'a little tired' and could do with a refurb (entirely, or in places), but that didn't detract from my stay and the cost was very reasonable (considering I booked the penthouse room).

Location just along central promenade, accessible where ever you want to go, bus stop right in front of the hotel where you can get the bus going to airport for £3 oneway and takes 25mins to reach Ronaldsway airport. Plenty of restaurants and shopping area just around the corner of the hotel. Staff were very friendly and approachable. Good buffet breakfast. The person who played in The Piano Bar was awesome⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

the elevator is a bit small if you have big luggage with max of 2-3 person only can accommodate i think?

The hotel was very clean and well kept. The bed was comfortable but not as comfortable as some hotel beds we’ve stayed in recently. The large screen TV with Sky Sports and BT sports was incredible for watching football in your room. The free all you can eat breakfasts were amazing and filled us up nicely for the days we were there. The room had a radiator you could turn on and produced good heat for the October evenings.

The walls were very thin and we could hear other guests moving out very early in the morning. The doors made a considerably loud bang when closed so woke us up very early. We could also hear a guest walking around their room upstairs which was disconcerting especially early in the morning.

Lovely hotel, perfectly situated. We stayed in the family room which we'd have preferred to have been a bit bigger and no sea view possible for family rooms. Breakfast was nice and as expected. Reception/lounge area had a nice atmosphere and food was delicious! Pianist played on the grand piano a few times a week in the evenings which was a nice touch.

We thought our beds were a bit too hard for our liking and the pillows were lumpy and quite flat. Family room a bit small for 3 adults with 3 suitcases.

Very clean and well presented hotel. Good location. Excellent breakfast. Bar staff very friendly and accommodating. Taxi options from the main desk. Pianist excellent - lovely atmosphere. Food delicious. Bed very comfortable - extra pillows a bonus.

No air con. WiFi not working for 2 of the 4 days here, which I know isn’t directly their fault, however the hotel is a bit of a ‘black spot’ area so 4g didn’t work either, meaning I couldn’t contact family or order room service without leaving the room. Not much communication about it either. Shower curtain had seen better days and radiation in the bathroom was leaking on the floor.

Superb location on the sea front. Comfortable room, although the bedroom was too hot and it was not possible to sleep with the window open due to the traffic noise outside. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great lunchtime and evening food in both the restaurant and the bar.

Breakfast was chaotic, especially when there were coach parties vying for tables and the self-service food. One morning, we ordered a pot of tea and it never arrived! Steep flight of steps up to the front door.
