The location of this place is fantastic, It's conveniently situated near shops, a few clubs, and plenty of great restaurants. Plus, they offer convenient amenities like a free ice vending machine and microwave on the top floor, which really adds to the convenience. The rooftop onsen is a highlight, nice for unwinding after a busy day of exploring. While the room is tiny, it's still perfectly manageable to move around for a couple with two pieces of carry-on luggage and a backpack. Overall, a cozy and well-equipped spot.

My phone died and I urgently needed an adapter to charge it, I asked the receptionist for assistance, but he bluntly refused without offering any help. He didn't bother to suggest nearby shops where I could buy an adapter or check if the hotel had any available. It was disappointing and unhelpful. Regarding the room, it's noticeably small compared to other non-APA hotels, but the location makes it acceptable and manageable.

It was close to everything, we loved being so central. The staff were lovely and checking in and out was a breeze

Our room smelt like cigarette and damp musk (from the aircon being shut off), even though we were on a non smoking floor. That smell is now stuck to everything that was in the room, our suitcases, our shoes (especially the crocs) my daughters books….. literally everything. It’s horrible

TV that syncs with personal mobile devices is a great addition. Ice machine available on top floor. Friendly and helpful reception that helps us with stored luggage and solves minor issues with ease. Onsen is available until midnight.

The hotel implements an "eco" system where roomkeeping is done every 3 days. However, this effort is ironically wasteful and counterproductive. Many of the daily amenities are unneeded. A new whole bag of supplies (new toothbrush, cups, etc.) is too much daily and comes with a lot of single-use plastic. Cleaning staff also threw away my personal toothbrush (not complimentary from APA) on the day they entered my room and mistakenly left a red cleaning towel on the bedsheet. Location is easily walkable but a lot of people were lounging in the streets and the hotel entrance despite signs saying this type of behavior is prohibited. Cleanliness in the area around the hotel is also an issue.

Very central location in Shinjuku, close-by to Shinjuku station for the JR lines, Mt. Fuji and Narita Express, Shibuya and Harajuku are close-by. Staff were very attentive and accommodating. Rooms are comfortable for those travelling every day. Definitely recommend for your first time in Tokyo

Rooms were recently fitted with AC with heaters removed. During November, rooms can be quite cold. Shinjuku is quite loud, so sirens and activations can be heard from your room.

Located in the heart Shinjuku, it is surrounded by plenty of restaurants, bars, clubs, convenient stores and a shopping complex. Your options are endless which is a bonus. It is a 5-10 minute walk to the Airport Shuttle Bus Stop, JR line trains and metro stations. They recommend guests to self check in using their touch pad screens and interaction with staff is minimal. Basic hotel with basic ammenities.

We had a room facing into the streets and so it got a bit noisy through the windows. Every morning around 6-7am the big screens on the surrounding buildings would start their commercials. This woke us up a couple of times. The room is incredibly small but we got what we paid for. There is barely enough room to move around once the luggages are out. As we were out for most of the day, we didn't mind cheaping out on accomodation. The TV would automatically turn on when you enter the room which was annoying having to turn it off each time.

The staff. The bed was comfortable but they do seem to love those hard pillows! Breakfast was good.

The check in. I am not a fan of the electronic check in. As a 76 year old traveller, I prefer the interaction with reception. The worst part is the 3:00pm check in time. APA has a uniform check out at 10:am. I took an 11:00am train from Osaka that got me to Tokyo slightly before 2:00pm. Not only could I not check in (along with several other guests) there is not a single seat in the lobby, so you are just expected to stand there. Caring for the comfort of the paying customer? I think not! My other beef is regarding storing clothes. 4 hangers on 2 hooks are provided - that's it. Not a drawer or shelf for those shirts, socks & jocks etc.

The location was excellent as it was walking distance to lots of places and close to subway station. The room was smaller than expected and the a/c was very cold and not able to change thermostat settings. The hotel and room were very clean and cleaning was done in a timely manner with fresh amenities like towels, tea service etc.

Room was very small. Bed was wall to wall next to windows. I had to step over the person next to me to get out of bed. It would have been nice it the bed was perpendicular to window leaving space on both sides of the bed so I could slide out of bed without stepping over other person.

We got the Express train from the Central Station took about an hour to get there. The place is about 3mins walk from station. We arrived late and the restaurants were closed. So walked 3mins from hotel to JoyFul 24 hours restaurant and it was good. There are also outlet store around but we left early in the morning.

We had a room that backed onto the lifts and they made very loud noises going up and down all night. In the end we called reception and asked if we could be moved. They did this within 5mins. Great service. Bed's were comfortable, bathroom was clean and good. We had breakfast which was also good. They have a free shuttles bus's to take you to airport before 8.30am

The hotel is nearby to the train station and lots of shops and restaurants. Love the rooftop onsen/hotspring as well. The breakfast buffet is decent too. The free luggage-storage during check-in and check-out days are really convenient for me as my departing flight is at night. I also appreciate the free luggage weighing scale at the lobby.

The lifts can be congested at times as the other reviews mentioned. Also the train station nearby often isn't the one recommended by Google Maps for its navigations so I ended up never using it but that's just a nitpick. The TV remote is a bit hard to use.
