Superb room with amazing view of the sea. Helpful and attentive staff and a fantastic breakfast served on the terrace. The location is perfect as you are right in the middle of the main street within a few steps of dozens of restaurants, bars and bistros. The atmosphere in the hotel and around the pool is serene and elegant and the decor is fresh and modern. Overall a wonderful experience.

The Best Hotel Experience We’ve Ever Had! Hotel Metropole Taormina is hands down the best hotel we have ever stayed in. We originally planned to stay for just two nights but ended up extending to four because we simply couldn’t bring ourselves to leave. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like absolute royalty. The staff here genuinely go above and beyond nothing is ever too much trouble, and they make you feel so special every single day. The location is unbeatable. You’re less than a five-minute walk from absolutely everything in Taormina, yet the hotel feels like its own peaceful oasis. The pool area is incredible, offering breathtaking views that you’ll never forget. Breakfast each morning was a highlight not only was the food beautiful and fresh, but the service was exceptional. The gentleman at the breakfast buffet (we didn’t catch his name) amazed us by remembering our drink order every single morning and greeting us with the warmest smile. A special mention to Maria and Ambra, who were absolutely amazing throughout our stay. Their kindness and attention to detail truly made our experience unforgettable. If you’re looking for a luxury stay where you’ll be cared for in every possible way, Hotel Metropole is it. We will be dreaming about this place until we can return!

Loved the location and the outside seating area, had such a great view, the staff were so attentive and welcoming and the room and balcony made for an extremely pleasant stay.

The breakfast for a 5 star hotel was poor, there wasn’t much to choose from and most of it you had to pay extra for. The breakfast service was very chaotic and we waited 40 mins and had to ask 3 times just to get a cup of tea!

The location is incredibly convenient to explore Taormina and the views are spectactular. We really enjoyed the pool area and our room (number 27) was really big and spacious. We know this isn't the case for some other city facing rooms.

Being in the centre of Taormina meant the street noise was excessive in the evenings for those rooms facing the town. We also found the prices in the hotel to be extortionate, like others have said. My pregnant wife was served a lemon and orange drink by the pool (no menu available) and was charged €25 - the same price as others who were drinking cocktails. Lunch menu was also expensive. It was a shame as it meant that we (and lots of other residents we spoke to) spent our time having meals and drinks outside of the hotel.

The location was right in the center of the town which made the hotel downsides worth it. The view that the hotel overlooked was also amazing. The staff was also very nice when we would drop off our shopping bags and have them delivered to our rooms while we continued our walk in the town. There is also a shuttle service for the beach that the hotel has an agreement with that made going to the beach easy and not stressful.

The hotel breakfast was a true letdown. There was never enough food and they would not put out more. There were also only two staff helping during the breakfast and it would be for the service of 15 people which made them struggle a bit. One of the rooms that were given was also lacking. The shower was outside the bathroom and the room did not have lights, when we asked to switch the room the lady became bitter and kept questioning the request and when we replied they did provide us with a new room but the lady stayed bitter towards us for the request.

Location and view were excellent.

Our bedroom was on the lower floor of our room. We had to go upstairs to use the bathroom or exit the room.

Property location is breathtaking and the staff go above and beyond expectations. From the moment we arrived, Danilo met us with warmth, he made our arrival so memorable and continued to help us navigate Taormina throughout our stay with advice for the beaches, restaurants and transfers. He was so helpful and made phone calls for us to make reservations in Italian. He couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast was delicious and staff were attentive and friendly. The pool is a stunning space to relax and just absorb the stunning views. Hotel Metropole is incredible and no photo we saw before our arrival did it justice.

Nothing - everything was great

EVERYTHING! We loved overlooking the ocean for apperitivo and wonderful breakfasts, central location in Taormina but quiet. Even more was the exceptional staff!!! Maria is incredible and provided educational and free tours, including wine tasting, history, art and expedited entry into the Greek Amphitheater! Danillo from day 1 went out of his way to provide multiple services, Ambra got us into an amazing restaurant despite it being fully booked, Erica was terrific in providing me with my special request cappuccino! Lucia stayed after her shift to make sure we were taken care of! We will be back to this gorgeous Hotel!

Wonderful location just off main St (very quiet) and the most amazing view from our Terrace/dining areas. Great pool area with that same view too. Breakfast was lovely, if touch limited, coffee great and dinner was quite a fancy affair but tasty. Overall a lovely stay

Rooms very nice if a touch small and lacking in case space/bags. One couple room's aircon wasn’t working and the maintenance guy was unhelpful. After a chat with reception, they upgrade their room so good outcome! Spa was nice, though not a great massage and expensive
