It was breathtakingly great! Delicious breakfast, gorgeous location and a dreamlike service! The staff is just amazing, extremely helpful and friendly, also with our visits to Etna, the beaches and airport-taxi. The daily visit to turtles and fish in the garden-pond was joyous! We had an excellent stay at our Garden Villa.

Out of the hotel’s power, the mosquitos all over town are an annoying nuisance. Luckily the hotel provides solutions for the inside areas.

Thank you for our amazing staying in your hotel. Your villa has an incredible view, a magic garden, nice location, tasty breakfasts, but what is the most important - you give for your visitors all your hospitality and kindness. Even all little things are made for comfort of the guests. It was a charming unforgettable time on your villa. And it is really a place where we want to return. Five stars for this unique place. This place exceeded my expectations. The hotel location was perfect, right next to the main street of the old town, but at the same time quiet and relaxing. They had a beautiful garden, and the breakfast was served with amazing views of the sea. Our room had a balcony with a view of the garden, and it was so relaxing. The hotel architecture is extremely charming, too. Breakfast is delicious, the staff is great, and I honestly have zero bad things to say about this place. Only compliments!

Everything was impeccable, zero complaints.

Lovely, quaint, small boutique hotel in a brilliant location, minutes from the centre of Taormina. The hotel was walkable for most of the shops, restaurants , amphitheatre and gardens. Staff were so helpful with booking boat trips, taxis, trips etc. Room was spotlessly cleaned every day. The hotel had fantastic gardens with a pond full of fish and cute turtles. The hotel boasts the oldest tree in Taormina and it was very grand! The room (14) was quaint and had a small balcony which was lovely to sit on and enjoy the amazing view of Mount Etna and the sea.

No pool, no gym, only breakfast available. Room where breakfast was served had curtains hiding the views and patio! Patio couldn’t be used for breakfast due to the wasps so perhaps something could be done to deter the wasps?

One of the best staff teams we have ever experienced. They are caring, organised, polite, helpful and offered an incredible service. Paired with the PERFECT location, offering private garden access to the main town just steps away, the stunning views and various beach clubs at your disposal that offer private transfers to and from the hotel, the stay went above and beyond what we could have expected. We went in not too sure about the breakfast but decided to give it a try and ended up getting it every morning of our stay! The granita sorbet was one of my favourites. The close proximity to the town also means a very short distance to the cable cart that gave a seamless form of transport down to the beaches and boat dock. A special thank you to the reception staff that were attentive to our needs including Simona, Marco, Elena, Claudia, Mariangela and Gaida as well as the breakfast team Luca, Evegniya and Rosita.

Leaving! We wished we would have booked a longer stay

Sleeping well while travelling makes all the difference to me. Hotel Villa Schuler is clean, the room was fresh, with the walls apparently decorated every season and feeling so, nowhere a dusty or neglected corner. Yet, best of all was the bed and bed set. Perfect mattress and pillows (two medium, two soft for a double/ king bed) and everything sooo clean and fresh, from the pillows to the bed sheets to the light duvets out of the wardrobe. The suite is spacious and bright. It has a patio with table and seatings on top of the main terrace, raised level, as well as a little, inner sun room, again with table and chairs. All very enjoyable with views of the sea and Mount Etna. The hotel is wonderfully placed, surrounded by greenery and its own rich gardens, with a common terrace on the top floor, complete with binoculars facing Mt. Etna, on the beautiful hillside of Taormina where the main square is.

We were in the Junior suite n. 3 with private access to the Palm terrace. This suite is half flight of stairs down from the reception and on the way to the breakfast area and I thought that that made it a bit noisy at times - like patrons coming back at night or staff using/ carrying equipment , perhaps cleaning, in the early afternoon. Not sure they were preparing the room next to ours, the only one on this particular floor (direct access to Palm terrace).

No doubt this hotel has a high historic value ad the rooms have their special charm. But they are simple and - although super clean and always updated, they are a bit out of date. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. If you want a super central location, even with small children, then this is a good choice.

Although only nine breakfast tables were occupied, and there were 3 waiters, we waited for a full 30 minutes to receive a cup of coffee. This can be done better. The room we booked had sample pictures of room number 15 online, a corner room with full see view and city view, we had room 14 with partial sea/city and otherwise garden view, we were a bit disappointed. Above us, we had a very noisy family and the old house seems to have little insulation against noisy neighbors.

The beds were quite hard and uncomfortable.

The room had a nice view of the coast and the ocean, with a little but practical terrace. It was clean and comfortable with a good bathroom. The air conditioning worked well despite the high temperatures we experienced. The location was amazing, just a 1-minute walk from the main pedestrian street. It felt safe to walk around both day and night. The staff was very kind and professional. My phone stopped working and they did everything to help me get a new one (found the shop, contacted the shop so someone was waiting for us, scheduled the taxi to take us there and bring us back, etc). They also gave us some good recommendations about what to do and helped with scheduling. The parking was easy and convenient, as the staff took care of everything related to it. The hotel has a big terrace with a view of the coast and the breakfast is served there. The experience is incredible. You can also have some cocktails there at night.

When you are leaving and they take you to your car, you must walk down the street with your bags. They give you the car in the middle of the street, so you don't have time to calmly organize everything before starting to drive, because there are other cars lined up behind you.

The staff at the hotel were fantastic, they were very friendly, helpful and professional. Nothing was too much trouble and always helped with a smile on their face. The hotel location is very central and easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and bars and the amphitheatre, the cable car to the beach and the bus terminal. The hotel has lots of charm and character and some lovely outside areas to sit, eat and drink. The hotel gardens are beautifully kept and a delight to walk through with a handy short cut to some of the bars, cafes and restaurants. We stayed in room 5 on the first floor which is a spacious corner room with duel aspect and spectacular views including the sea, beach and Mount Etna. Just for information........ we decided to take the bus from the airport to the hotel but after waiting for about an hour we decided to get a taxi instead. it cost nearly double of what we would have paid had we pre booked a car transfer prior to arriving in Sicily. This was due to the road works and traffic congestion and the time it took. So a tip would definitely be if you re planing to use a taxi/car for transfer to your hotel make sure you pre book as it s much cheaper!
