The resort is beautiful; however, it is somewhat overpriced given the ongoing renovations. Construction tape and detour pathways are present throughout the property, which does take away from the overall experience.

The resort is beautiful; however, the ongoing construction, constant hammering, and lack of prior notice about the renovations significantly impacted the experience. Given the premium pricing, I expected full transparency and a more peaceful environment.

The staff was very friendly, rooms were clean, food was good, nice gift shop, lots of comfortable seating areas both inside and out.

I have to really think about something I didn't like because out stay was great, but if I have to choose something it would be that the bikes were rented at the property were not maintained well.

The location is fabulous. Right by the beach on shipyard plantation which is simply stunning to cycle round. The hotel is a small resort they were fixing the sugar cane pool bar whilst we were there and it looks like it is very nearly open and will be lovely. The staff are fabulous everyone was so friendly and helpful. The beach was fab with waves great for bodyboarding. The hotel hires bikes which you need to get around the island a great way to see everything. Lots of lovely restaurants within very close proximity. If you want a huge water with entertainment all day and night then this is not the place for you. If you want a family friendly smaller more personal resort with excellent service then this is. The turtle talk by Cathy was very informative and some nests right by the hotel. We absolutely loved it and we will 100 be back. Big hit mammas bbq is an absolute must

Loved pool, poolside bar and beach. Rooms were very nice and upgraded. We had a balcony but no view so we did not use.

Daily resort fee. Felt like did not give you a lot for your money as you also had to pay to rent bikes and for beach chairs and umbrella. Would have loved if they would have given Carolina shag lessons in their empty Pavillion or offered a happy hour, pool water aerobics or shuttle to Sea Pines so we would not have to bear the $9 expense to use the road going in there. For that daily fee we fed turtles once and did beach yoga once and pool side bingo.

The property was beautiful, clean and well maintained. I enjoyed being able to relax by the pool and be served delicious food and drinks. Everyone that worked there was extremely kind especially those working in the grab and go area they were so lovely and put a smile on our faces every day.

I loved the grab and go cafe area, I do wish there were various milk alternatives available and a different brand of coffee used, it always tasted a bit burnt/off.

Beautiful exterior and beach access. Staff was great, brought a a housekeeping issues I had and they addressed it right away with the exception of the tub and sink. Staff were friendly and we enjoyed our stay.

Bathroom tub and sinks don’t drain properly have to stand in dirty water which is gross. Circulation is poor in room. I did not realize the hotel did not have any room service and all food and items had to be ordered from the cafes or restaurants. Having a toddler that made it difficult not being able to order food to your room . Definitely not something I thought to look into when booking.

The room and facilities were very nice. Staff was helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

There could be more information regarding transportation around the island. No one on staff knew the schedules of the free in town trolleys(Breeze) Also the company that provides custom pickups/transport to/from the hotel is awful. Twice we waited at a designated location with them not showing up. Terrible communication between their drivers and dispatch. When I complained the person at your front desk said “well that’s on them”. Terrible service.

Beautiful, comfortable, staff was friendly and accommodating. I booked the room last minute after the hurricane and requested an animal friendly room, the room I reserved through booking was not pet friendly so they found me a room and changed my reservation. They easily could have turned us away but they did not. The changing of rooms took no more than 5 minutes. I plan to go back for a vacation as they offer several amenities we were unable to partake in

More expensive than I had planned for a night away after the hurricane but well worth it after seeing the resort

Relatively easy access to the beach. It will be better when construction done! Smaller friendly atmosphere. Price conscious. New marketplace for easy breakfast awesome. New adult pool opened for July 4.

Ongoing construction on gazebo food and drink facility. Still hoping for lap swimming capability. A lot of dogs present for the holiday weekend. However, they all were on leash.

The resort was beautiful and peaceful. There was quite a bit of activity for wedding season, however, we felt very comfortable and didn't feel over populated. The staff at the pool and restaurant were incredibly friendly and attentive. I loved that dogs were allowed, however, the place did not smell of pets. The pool was clean and Jason our waiter was wonderful!! He served up the best drinks all day. We enjoyed that we were able to rent bikes and beach chairs/umbrella right at the resort. So convenient! Honestly, every staff member from front desk to bike rental, pool and restaurant were incredibly friendly and attentive. Housekeeping staff also did an excellent job every day keeping our room neat and clean. Thank you, we had such a wonderful experience and will definitely return.

The only thing I can think of that was negative, was the hot tub pump was so loud, it was hard to talk. But if that is the worse thing, I'll take it.
