Room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good, a lot of selections for all.

The last day we were there I asked for another day, which the person at the desk was kind enough to book and gave me a discount because we had stayed there 3 days already, he said just bring your room key down in the Moring to be rescanned. I did but the person at the desk was very rude and said that the person who set this up didn't know anything and that there were probably no accommodations left or we would have to change rooms. I told him I had a conformation from the Hotel that gave me another night plus we could keep the room we were in. He was rude until I showed him the conformation number, he then said sorry.

The hotel looked inviting when we entered - lovely decor and clean. Front desk staff was very professional and helpful when I asked about sights in the city and parking. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. I particularly liked one of the women who was working the breakfast room. She would cheerfully engage every guest in a short and welcoming conversation. I would choose to stay here again when I visit Rapid City.

The room was very cold when we entered due to the air conditioning unit running, which wasn't a problem, but we could not shut it off or change settings in any way. I called the front desk and they said that in this particular room, there was a separate unit to operate it, which took us a minute to locate - then all was well. Staff was immediately responsive.

The hotel needs to improve its breakfast: the styrofoam plates' floppiness made them barely functional; the so-called scrambled eggs were watery; the sausages (no bacon) undercooked; for the second and third mornings of our 3 day stay, we walked to the nearby Holiday Inn for its excellent breakfast. Our room's (326) toilet was - to say the least - easily pluggable. Staff quickly and ably came to our aid, but it did interfere with our enjoyment of the room

I like that the room was clean every day. The cleaning staff is amazing, making sure you have everything you need. The front desk staff Andres and two more girls were amazing and friendly, and they knew what they were doing. The kitchen staff they are great and polite.

The breakfast. Same every day, the eggs were not great. They should vary the eggs every day. (Ex: One day fried eggs, the next one omelet) The pancake maker wasn't working, and the next day, there was no waffle batter. So, we had scrambled eggs and sausage every morning.

Although the breakfast was complimentary, it was average in choice. The only cereal on offer was oats/oatmeal. The juice was watered down. My biggest dislike was the wifi. Whilst there was a strong signal on the ground floor and even leading up to our room (333), once we got to our room, the signal halved. Numerous times I would be in the middle of important email/message communication or banking on the iPad and the internet would drop off approximately every 30seconds to a minute. Then I would have to re-establish the connection. In 5 weeks of travelling the US and Canada this was the worse wifi. Maybe a booster on the 3rd floor.

We stayed in a King Studio Suite for 4 nights. It was beautifully furnished and very spacious. The bed was super comfly. We very much appreciated the kitchen/living room suite space as we were able to spread out and really enjoy the place. The fireplace was a wonderful bonus. Staff was friendly and helpful. Another bonus was the little store to buy beer and snacks. Honestly, this is one of the best places I've ever stayed in. Great value, nice area of Rapid City that was safe, wonderfully clean and comfortable studio. I would highly recommend to others.

This place REALLY exceeded my expectations -- it might be listed as a Howard Johnson but it is NOTHING like any of the Howard Johnsons we stayed on, on this road trip. Elevation's rooms are HUGE, spotless, super-comfortable, well-lit, and well-equipped. The staff was super friendly, parking was easy, and the fitness center, indoor pool, and hot tub were great pluses. The bed was super-comfortable and everything inside the room was new. Location was amazing for anything you want to do in the Black Hills area... plus I highly recommend staying in this city for best access to restaurants and other conveniences. Amazing price for the comfort and convenience. I hope to be back!

Nothing to critique for the value here

Anna, front desk steward, was outstanding. Knowledgeable, friendly, took action as requested, made all of us (12 person group) feel appreciated and welcome. She should be acknowledged by leaders of this hotel as a great employee, even for the month!! The included continental breakfast was nice, but the powdered eggs that only happened once or twice during our stay tasted lousey. Just like our Navy eggs we suffered in the old days. They only provided the eggs & sausages when a bus load showed up. Not cool for the rest of "us" customers. The staff ladies in the kitchen were always friendly and kind when on their duties. Thanks!! The room cleaners were okay, but missed refilling items occasionally; body wash, kleenex, one time even missed cleaning our room and missed replacing our towels. We are just mentioning this as a kind reminder. Customers are always watching when we are renting a room and being watchful on everyday things.In closing, the desk staff were always friendly and helpful, and they always had smiles on their faces. We loved staying there and sharing our daily outings with them. Anna is the BEST! The Strangs from San Diego!

The swimming pool was not clear water. Made us feel awkward using it. One of the Jacuzzis didn't even bubble, even after ensuring the operating dial was on. With such a fine pool included, the maintenance should be better in monitoring its cleanliness and operation. We didn't use it again due to these issues!

The view. The bed and room very comfortable. Very clean plenty of bath towels. Free breakfast. Plenty black Tea. All the staff polite and friendly. Location easy to walk into central part of the city. Jefferson bus station. Rapid city is a smaller venue but pleasant with people strolling the street and eating out on Tuesday /Wednesday nights. Nice place to stay for a real look at The Black hills of the Sioux.

I had no dislikes. I will be back

I very much liked how much space the room offered yet still had the needed amenities such as fridge, microwave, etc. The pool and hot tub area was very nice and well kept ,

I don’t think there was anything I really didn’t like about the property. Upon arrival I did notice that there weren’t any liners in the trash cans in the room. I did ask for one big garbage bag from house keeping and they did provide one, and was very kind about it.
