While on the map this place appears very near the prime tourist attractions of Bergamo - it is really out among the fields and the woods. Our experience driving to this location is something we have since shared anecdotally several times and this is why - it starts by arriving at what appears to be another village. Then the navigation app sends you through more and more narrow streets in the village until you reach a particularly narrow alley which appears to end in an even narrower passage between two irregular stone walls of two buildings. We have traversed narrow Italian roads before but this one required folding in the side-mirrors, and one of us standing before the car and giving micro-guidance of 'a bit to the right' and 'just a tiny-bit-to-the-left' in order to squeeze through the passage. Upon finally getting through - we discovered that the paved road has ended and what follows is a dirt/mud path leading up a hill of grass and an occasional tree. Thankfully our car managed to climb the steep incline and reach the building. We then encountered two adorable small dogs who were very friendly and kind - but we couldn't locate the owners of the establishment. After some wandering around the property the kind gentleman Pier appeared and took us into the building. Not before another pair of guests had arrived but - having a smaller vehicle - got stuck on the dirt path up the hill and needed help pushing the car out of a rut it was stuck in. This only to illustrate that this place really is not in any kind of urban environment - it is rural to the degree that you're out in the open fields. The owner was very kind, helpful and informative, and chuckled at our experience driving through a crack between two buildings saying: "everyone has that experience the first time". Our room was spacious and comfortably furnished.

the location advertises a 'private bathroom' but this does not mean it is attached to the room. Our bathroom was across the hall - meaning that to reach it you walk across the door to the room of other guests in the establishment. So while the bathroom is 'private' - only allocated to us - and not to any other guests- one still needs to walk across the hall to reach it. Going to the bathroom at night in your PJs - may feel a bit awkward.

The place was just superb – quiet place far from rush of the town (ideal for those who prefer calm place to hide from city), very friendly owner speaking english well, wonderful interior with good details making stay comfortable. You will probably be welcomed also by two cute little dogs and a cat outside the building. :)

Nothing, just be careful on the road there, there is one quite narrow place, where you must be careful not to scratch your car's mirrors 😜. Someone might not like that in some rooms a bathroom is not in the one room with a bedroom – not a problem for me.

Pierantonio and Marcella were the perfect hosts, everything was perfect and Pier went above and beyond to give us all the info of where to go and what to see. The property was clean and properly maintained. The bed was firm just how we like it and the room was spacious and included everything we needed. The bathroom was clean and all toiletries were included, towels, soaps, shampoo even toothpaste! The breakfast is all handmade from scratch by Marcella and everything she made was delicious! Can't recommend this bed&breakfast enough! Thank you for everything, you were amazing hosts!

The road getting there was very narrow but that's Italy so can't really complain. The worst part was that we left too early and didn't get to say goodbye to the puppies..

Really friendly host who gave us loads of help and information on what to see, where to eat and how to travel (including a day trip to Lake Como). Really quiet, clean, comfortable, good facilities, great views, and an amazing breakfast on the terrace for 10 euros each. We really loved it.

The great location meant it was slightly harder to get to and from by public transport, but it was absolutely worth it for us and we were able to either walk to Città Alta (very uphill!) in about 20 minutes, or walk 10/15 minutes on the flat to get the no. 7 or 9 bus to the station.

The place we stayed at was truly exceptional. Surrounded by a picturesque forest with a flowing stream, it felt like we were in a fairytale. The peace and tranquility of the area allowed for complete relaxation. The apartments were perfectly equipped, and the cleanliness and comfortable beds provided top-notch comfort. Everything was perfectly arranged. The owner was a very kind and helpful person. Additionally, the proximity to the city center was a great advantage. We wholeheartedly recommend this place!

It’s set away from the town on a hillside. It’s immaculate with amazing views. There’s a kitchen if needed and Pier our host supplies the most delicious breakfasts. The room was spacious and clean with a fridge and coffee maker. It’s a great place to unwind on the outside terrace for a few days, we loved it. Pier our host was the nicest man, always helpful and always a smile. I’d definitely recommend his beautiful house if you’re visiting the area.

If you have mobility issues it’s definitely not for you. We enjoy walking so didn’t have a problem

Marcella and Pierantonio are wonderful hosts. On the day of our arrival, Pierantonio drove us into Bergamo Alta and gave us some excellent advice on where to have lunch. The breakfasts he prepared were phenomenal. Fresh fruit salad and yoghurt, waffles, pancakes, toast, nothing was too much trouble. Sitting on the terrace at Dimora del Riccio in the evening was a restful way to end a day of exploring the wonderful city of Bergamo.

Nothing to dislike
