The location was excellent, right in the middle of the Citta Alta but within easy reach by bus of the Citta Bassa and the train station. The room was large by European standards, and the bathroom was spacious and nicely renovated. The breakfast was the typical buffet type, and very good. The staff were great - pleasant and helpful. We recommend the restaurant across the piazza, Da Franco's, and also Il Sole (the hotel will give you a card for a 10% discount at Il Sole).

The wifi signal was weak. We would often have to go into the hallway to re-connect. The shower controls were unpredictable - both the temperature and pressure changed unexpectedly. From the pictures online, I was hoping more rooms had a terrace - only one did on our floor, and the occupants only used it to air their clothes...

Lara and Tessie (sp) were both wonderful and very helpful. The room is beautiful. We had two single beds, as requested. The bath was a good size. The breakfast in the morning was more than substantial. The LOCATION was mostly ideal and the view from the room of the piazza below and bell tower was beautiful (but see below). They arranged for our taxi to the airport. All was really great. I would certainly return.

I wish I had requested a room facing away from the street. While the view was beautiful, the noise from the restaurant below was a bit disturbing and thankfully the bell tower did not chime after 22 hours. Nothing that could not be resolved using ear plugs.

Charming property, tastefully renovated with modern facilities. Bang in center of old town with everything on the doorstep. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, lovely breakfast. The outlook from the front rooms to the little square and bell tower on the church. The chiming of the bells until 10pm:)

Major daytime noise from work going on in the narrow street directly below the front rooms (which will last until end of March 2025). Not the hotel’s fault however and will benefit the area in the future due to new plumbing etc. A bit difficult to adjust the temperature on the shower, needs patience.

The hotel was very elegant, located in a old building but perfectly kept. The room was very spacious, although I obtained a nice, free update, compared with that I booked, and hence my answer might not be accurate in all cases. The view on the Bergamo's valley was stunning, and the staff was kind. The parking was in a connected private garage, which was relatively short distance and easy to reach.

The breakfast was just fine, perhaps a bit basic, with small choices of warm food. The sweets and cakes were not artisanal, but rather industrial. In general, the choice of valid alternatives left to be desired. The parking was a bit expensive: 30 Euros for one night.

No vegetables for breakfast ! You have so great tomatoes and other vegetables and there was nothing. I understand Italian have a croissant and cafe at breakfast, but you have international guests, who eat differently. The breakfast is fine and fresh but lack of vegetables lowers my score definitely. Another tip: hotel is good if you're going to visit only Bergamo Old Town. But if you're traveling around, like we, it's better to take some hotel near the train station (unless you travel by car). Connection is convinient but takes some time.

The location is great of course, you couldn't ask for better. We booked one of their superior rooms which was spacious and comfortable. It had a king size bed and a comfortable sofa and a nice balcony. The bathroom had a large shower with good water pressure and plenty of counter space. We asked for wine and a cheese and meat plate from their bar/room service and had it on the balcony, which was wonderful. The continental breakfast was a good one too.

There is a steep set of stairs at the entrance, with no way to avoid them. The mattress was a bit hard. Also, the room wasn't ready for us at their stated check-in time, although we just left our bags and went out for an hour.

The room we stayed in was wonderful, spacious, clean and very comfortable. The bathroom was of a good size and the shower was perfect and we had our own little balcony .The staff that greeted us were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel is right in the middle of the old town close to many shops, restaurants and cafes. I would definitely recommend this hotel and only wish I could have stayed longer.

It was not a problem for us but there is a steps from the door to reception, they do have a chair lift for anyone that may struggle and I am sure they would help with bags if asked. This is in the old town so steps and hills on cobble stones so wear comfortable shoes.

The hotel is centrally situated close to everything you need The room was very clean and hugely comfortable.

Lovely friendly ladies on reception were so welcoming and helpful. They really added to the experience. I will recommend this hotel to all my friends. Hotel organised a taxi from airport for us which was good value at €35. The room had old world charm but also modern bathroom facilities. Great location.

Unfortunately the stairlift was not working. Staff insisted on carrying bags and helping an elderly guest up the stairs so they really tried to make up for this and we appreciated their kindness. If stairlift had been working it would have been 10/10.
