Location is super. Citta Alta reacheable even on foot, but cable car is very close to the hotel. Room very clean, comfortable with automatic control features. Staff was so helpful and kind. We arrived early and wanted to leave only our bags in their storage but they politely checked us in earlier without even having to ask them. Breakfast was veryy good, delicious and lots of options. However small tip: Rooms advertised in booking could be the old ones. I stayed in the upgraded part of the hotel ( or it looked so by the different interior design in the halls and of course in the room)

Room was a bit small however not a big deal. It was very comfortable Temp could be controlled only centraly, it was a bit hot for us but maybe you can ask reception. We just opened the window ( a bit noisy but still)

Good location, spectacular view on Citta Alta from the balcony, cleen rooms, very nice staff, good breakfast.

There is room to improve phonic isolation from street noise.

4 night stay to visit Bergamo and Milan day trip. The hotel is outstanding. Very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, a very wide range of foods, all to the highest standard and constantly replenished, and tables cleared. The breakfast room on the first floor is a large and pleasant space with nice views. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room was spacious with a fridge. The window could be opened. Our room on the side of the 4th floor had a view of the Citta Alta, which was incredible. We eat twice in the Roof Garden Restaurant which offered great food, service and views. Although reasonably expensive, the quality and experience justified it. The location of the hotel is perfect, 5 minutes from the funicular and 5 minutes from the centre of the Citta Bassa. The bus from the airport stops very close to the hotel 3.70 euros for the 3-zone ticket that is required.

Location excellent- 10/15 min walk down to the train station and also 10 min walk to the railway to the Alta / higher level. Lots of bars and restaurants near by. Breakfast was excellent- busy from 9am onwards but breakfast staff very pleasant and helpful. Reception staff very helpful - check in smooth. My single room clean with a larger than single bed. Quiet. This hotel rooms are old style Italian interior.

Bar is souless and expensive - white plastic chairs - needs updating along with reception area. Carpets stained both in rooms and reception area. Would take very little to update and make more welcoming. Outside the same.

Great location, only 14 minutes walk from the train station. Bus stop nr 1 just 2 minutes from the hotel (the route is from the airport to Citta Alta). Around 10 minutes from the funicular stop. We had a Beautiful view from our room. Good breakfasts, very nice staff. We arrived very early, we could leave our luggage at the reception, and when we came back at 12, the room was already ready was us and our suitcases were in the room.

There was a problem in the bathroom, because the glass is too small for the shower and the water was everywhere on the floor. Unfortunately, when we checked out we were charged with the TAX (28€) despite booking said it is already included in the price.

Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. Hotel is in a fantastic location and we were able to walk everywhere. Rather than taking the funicular up to Citta Alta when there were lengthy queues, we walked up although not sure I would do this in height of the summer. We booked a standard room and on arrival were very pleased to find our room had a balcony overlooking the park in front of the hotel with views of Citta Alta in the distance. All staff we encountered were lovely and the reception area was bright and airy. Bergamo is a beautiful place for a short break .

An excellent hotel in the center of Bergamo, within walking distance of the funicular that takes you up to the old town, Città Alta. We arrived early in the morning, much earlier than the official check-in time, but our room was already ready. What was especially nice was that we were upgraded for free, and the room had a magnificent view of the old town and the square in front of the hotel. Housekeeping was daily, and the towels were changed every day as well. The breakfasts were fairly simple, but everything was tasty, especially the pastries. We will definitely return here and recommend it to everyone planning to visit Bergamo!

The hotel was in a good location and was clearly undergoing a renovation and we were fortunate to have one of the renovated rooms. The restaurant was very good and the staff were friendly.

My criticism would be the lights in the room. They have touch sensitive light switches that also control the window shutters. There were 3 of them in the room and they are very bright and can’t be switched off. We ended up covering them up with items of clothing. There is also a fire alarm that flashes and the TV light. All of these together create a bright room.

We were in rooms 520, 521, and 523 Sept 10 2024. Those rooms (perhaps not all) had been recently renovated within and were wonderful. Large modern bath, King bed, terrific AC, modern lighting, mini-frig etc and a view of the old City on the hill. The location was perfect, a few minutes walk from the funicular to the charming old city. New city part was fun and beautiful in its own right. If you don't want to wait for the funicular, the walk up takes about 15 minutes and is nice unless you have mobility issues or young children in strollers. The breakfast room was very large and very good offering typical European fare with some warm items like scrambled eggs and bacon. Room value was terrific for price. Staff was friendly and helpful to get drivers.

To make it perfect, it might have been nice to have a more casual restaurant for dinner. We didn't go to the restaurant on the top floor as it looked pricey and we had been out all day/tired. There are however other restaurants nearby so it isn't really a problem.

We loved the step out balcony, and had a corner room with views of the upper city and clock towers. Bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional-- from local meats and cheeses, fresh fruits, cappuccinos to croissants and yogurt, to bacon and eggs and pastries, juices, marmalade-- I can't praise the breakfast highly enough! The location was perfect for us-- a few minutes walk to the funicular to the Citti Alta, a wonderful place to explore ancient churches and a castle. Downtown shopping was easily accessible too. Many cafes and restaurants within a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Highly recommend for couples.

It's a small thing, but the floor in our room was dusty. We only noticed because tiny dust bunnies stuck to the bottom of our slippers. The rest of the room was spotless, though, and the bed was great, as was the shower.
