It was close to the airport but in a very picturesque area was like the perfect last night location. As soon as the booking was made I had superb instructions to drive to the property avoiding the really tight back roads. The views on the drive up to the property is awe inspiring. On arrival you are greeted by wonderful hosts this is a family run hotel that shows the passion and love for what they offer. The decor is beautiful and whilst the pictures look good reality in this instance is better. We walked to the town but they do have a shuttle if needed please go take a look you won’t be disappointed. Thank you a wonderful last night completed our holiday.

Comfortable, characterful, good quality furnishings, lovely home cooked food. Best of all the hotel team were just lovely.

The property was superb. It was quite far up the hill from town but we loved the walk down into town which was steep and narrow roads. It was a pleasure for us but maybe not for all abilities. The hotel shuttle bus was a great asset for night times and for people who don’t like the walk. We occupied the suite in Room 6 and it had an amazing terrace and lovely indoor spaces. We would Definately stay again.

Absolutely charming and wonderfully peaceful. The staff could not have been more accommodating and friendly. It’s a genuinely family atmosphere with beautiful views and in the nicest part of high Bergamo. Our room was very comfortable and clean and we liked it so much we stayed an extra night. Breakfast was tasty and freshly prepared. We took their recommendations for local restaurants and ate extremely well from a great little inexpensive family run trattoria in walking distance to a very interesting Michelin starred restaurant at the top of the hill with breathtaking views. A very pleasant experience and more than we expected

Would have liked a bath rather than a shower but could have requested that if we’d booked a suite. Will do that when we come back !

The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the location is beautiful. You really feel taken care of at the hotel. The setting is beautiful and even though it feels like you are nestled intu the mountains there are actually several sites and restaurants within walking distance. I would come again just for the breakfast. A beautiful selection of local cheeses along with all the other breakfast staples.

We spent 2 nights in Bergamo in one of La Valetta’s Junior Suites and cannot recommend the property highly enough. It is excellent value for money, owned and run by an extremely friendly and helpful family. The location is perfect and the shuttle service to the Citta Alta efficient and reliable. We hesitate to give anyone a 10, but after experiencing so many unrealistically flattering reviews on Booking.com we were delighted to stay in a property where the accolades are genuinely deserved.

Staying at La Valletta Relais was an unforgettable experience. The peaceful surroundings, the breathtaking views, and the cozy atmosphere made us feel truly relaxed. What stood out the most was the warmth and kindness of the staff – we felt genuinely cared for, almost like visiting friends. Waking up to such delicious breakfasts on the terrace was the perfect start to each day. We left with beautiful memories and a strong desire to return soon!

Everything. Prior to arrival, we were advised of a road closure and given alternative instructions. On our early arrival, we were met by the owner, Mario, who very welcoming and helpful. Room made ready at short notice. Breakfasts were exceptional, advice regarding places to eat, where to go and what to do was valuable and the entire experience was outstanding. Mario, Graciella and Giacomo are delightful hosts for whom nothing is a problem.

Faultless

Beautiful property with kind and welcoming staff who went to every effort to make sure we had what we needed. The room was large, clean and quiet - equipped with everything we needed. Breakfast was perfect every morning. It was a really lovely place to stay - felt like a quiet retreat from the city.

The location is a little far from town if you’re on foot. It’s only a 20 min walk down a pretty quiet road, but if you have a large suitcase plan ahead for your arrival! Once there, it’s totally fine. There is a complimentary shuttle at specific times in the day, and the hotel staff is super accommodating for other times. This is not a negative about the hotel at all, just a heads up for anyone without a car wanting to stay at this lovely little hotel!

Beautifully kept old property overlooking the wonderful Bergamot countryside. The location is lovely just a short walk to the città alta. There are Lao some restaurants about a 10 minute walk away. The rooms were exceptionally spacious and comfortable and had lovely views. Breakfast was simple but lovely with a cold buffet and the option of eggs and bacon. The owners were so warm and friendly.

This hotel is extremely cosy and aqtmospheric. Everything is well-organized. The room was beautiful, the views from the terrace are wonderful. The hotel is situated on the hill, but there is a service by hotel to bring the clients to Bergamo and back to hotel. We spent the evening with drinks on the terrace, as the hotel has a small bar where it is possible to buy drinks. The breakfast also was very delicious. I felt very welcome and happy.
