Our stay at Villa Sermolli was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the heart of the Tuscan hills, this historic villa offers breathtaking views, beautifully maintained gardens, and charming rooms filled with character. The attention to detail in the decor, combined with the modern amenities, made for a perfect blend of old-world charm and contemporary comfort. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring every moment was enjoyable. Dining at the on-site restaurant was a highlight, with exquisite local dishes. The most beautiful setting! The restaurant was a particular highlight of our holiday and decided to book dinner three out of three nights we stayed at Villa Sermolli. Traditional rooms with panoramic views. Free transfers to the local train station which proved to be very helpful considering we hadn’t booked a hire car. Bathroom and shower facilities were great! The breakfast options were varied and great value for money. Reception were very quick at responding to messages for collection.

It would have been very helpful to be provided with an introduction to the local area including recommended places of interest. Only on the final day did we find out there was a Contemporary Art Gallery in the nearby town of Montecatini. By this point there wasn’t enough time to visit. We needed to ask for local wine tasting spots and nearby places of interest but this felt rushed. A stark contrast to the previous hotel we stayed in which provided a detailed list of recommendations. No tea/coffee facilities in rooms, this was disappointing as we needed to ask for extra coffee, this was then charged to the room.

The stay was very pleasant, the location very beautiful with a wonderful view, and the breakfast was delicious (I highly recommend it). The restaurant was good, albeit a bit pricey for what it offers; we dined on location almost every evening, and the only excellent dish we had was the T-bone steak. I would suggest using less salt in the dishes. The cleanliness was prompt, and I appreciated that it was maintained at all times in our absence. The large pool was closed during our visit, even though it was the season, while the smaller one was very beautiful but quite crowded most of the time.

It is advisable to undertake some renovation of the rooms, which are beautiful, but in the bathroom, some of the plaster is peeling, and I would suggest that greater attention be paid to cleanliness regarding the flooring. We had a room with a brick floor that appeared quite dirty, and in this situation, I would recommend providing house slippers.

Lovely setting on top of a hill in an historical building which was beautifully renovated. Lovely staff. Restaurant/breakfast terrace/bar was such a beautiful setting with leafy vines and fantastic views. Well situated for day trips in the car.

Property was advertised as self catering but the kitchen was lacking even the most basic equipment such as a sharp knife, kettle and large cooking pot. When we asked staff for these they were quickly provided. It didn't affect us, but the property is on a hill and anyone with disabilities or children in pushchairs should be aware.

We chose Hotel Villa Sermolli to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary with a group of 23 friends. We booked the rooms and worked with Helena, the front manager, to organize the dinner party, wine tasting, transportation for all guests to and from Florence, table decorations, make up artist, DJ, photographer, etc… and she did an excellent job! Everything was beyond our expectations. Our weekend stay was an enchanting experience. From the moment we arrived, Helena, the manager, ensured that every detail was perfect for our anniversary celebration. Helena's personalized touch made our anniversary dinner truly special. The candlelit table, exquisite menu, and attentive service created a romantic atmosphere we'll cherish forever. The hotel's restaurant surpassed our expectations. Each dish was a delightful blend of Tuscan flavors, and the excellent service as well as the amazing views from the panoramic terrace added to the overall charm. Our room at Villa Sermolli was a haven of tranquility. The rustic decor and the decorated walls combined with modern amenities, provided a unique and comfortable stay. The staff’s warmth and dedication stood out. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, whether it was arranging transportation or suggesting local gems to explore. We highly recommend Hotel Villa Sermolli for anyone seeking an authentic Tuscan experience. We can't wait to return.

Nothing. Everything was perfect.

The surroundings of the hotel were simply wonderful. Lots of flowers, trees and a great view. The breakfast was varied.

A larger swimming pool would need updating and cleaning. It wasn't cozy. The smaller pool was neater and more modern, but there were only 4 sunbeds in the pool, and they were already booked in the morning. We went to eat once in the hotel's restaurant. Unfortunately, the restaurant was overpriced and food wasn’t tasty. It's a shame because the view from the restaurant was wonderful. The door of the hotel room was thin, so I woke up in the morning to the voices of the staff coming from the corridor.

The hotel was in such a beautiful hillside town, the whole palazzo is so well set up to enjoy the wonderful views. We had a room on the smaller side but the views were incredible. The hotel was very clean and the staff were exceptionally friendly. It was so convenient that they run a little golf cart to help you get your suitcases to and from the car park which is down the hill.

The only compliant I have is with the hotel restaurant. Firstly it is a lovely cozy restaurant and I loved watching the meat be cooked on the fire. However, most of the dishes we tried were not very balanced, everything was very cheezy and buttery.

What a charming old-world boutique hotel! We stayed in a large, beautifully restored room with a comfy bed and ancient murals on the walls. There were thoughtful touches around every corner and up and down every ancient stairway. Outside, there were beautiful views from every relaxing terrace and seating area. The amazing breakfast buffet had everything. It was presented in the original kitchen and served in the cozy indoor dining room or out on the terrace with sweeping views over the valley. Dina treated us like royalty, bringing us special coffees with her beautiful smile. We would love to keep this place for ourselves, but they are doing such a great job we need to share.

In this charmig old villa from the 17th century we experienced real Tuscany feeling! Although we had a made a reservation only on the same day, everything worked well, staff is really friendly and helpful. For dining, we recommend the outdoor terrace with its stunning view. Many local people came for dining, too. Room was ok, new modern bath room, AC worked well. Breakfast was very good (surely above Italian hotel standars) with a good varietey of choices in good quality.

Not suitable for those who have difficulties with stairs (no elevator). The pool could have been a bit cleaner. Wifi signal in our room was weak/unstable.

Very beautiful and calm location, with nice view and amazing garden with hundreds of flowers. Room was very confortable and is very nicely decorated with frescos. Also the staff is excellent and helpful. Restaurant has very tasty fodd. Would recommend it very much for couples looking for calm and magic vacation. We will return next year for sure.
